any of you guys follow this dude?
some pretty solid dietary advice on his site
although the 'eat eggs as close to raw as possible' advice hasn't gone down so well, had some pretty bad indigestion as a result of that, so gonna give those bad boys an extra minute or two on the heat
other than that though, i can't really fault the guy
thoughts?

I'm very familiar with his site, and I've also read one of his books....I once ordered Cod Liver Oil from his website and he included his book for free with my order.

Here's the deal with him - 95% of his diet and nutrition advice is solid. Thing is, everything he's advocates is basically things you can find elsewhere for free (Weston Price Foundation, Mark's Daily Apple, etc.).

Much of the recommendations are to cook fresh foods and not eat junk food. There's no way to really make money off that, so he comes up with products that he can sell that somewhat match the recommendations of the paleo/WAPF folks - i.e. krill oil, whey protein isolate, cod liver oil, coconut oil etc.

Then he also does his "nutritional typing" service.

Meh. You don't need any of that. You don't need to buy anything from him to get the value from his website. While he's not a quack in the sense that he's selling you snake oil, he's mostly right about the things he advocates...he's still basically an internet marketer that's made a literal fortune selling things to people they don't really need to follow the dietary advice he advocates.

RE: Mercola
I have been following him for years. He is the closet to a mainstream doctor I will follow. All solid advice. They even let him on Dr. Oz every once and awhile. Although they won't let him talk about his view and evidence about vaccinations.

I used to buy my supplements from him. He uses private label but he makes sure they are processed properly so you aren't getting oxidized vitamins and minerals.
