I think it's about what game you are choosing to play. I know players who have effectively won the game: they went through a period of trials and adventures, and now they are getting what they want from women regardless of it being an LTR or fucking some other guys wife.

In many ways, all of life is lonely. Especially when you are at the top. When you are the social backbone, the alpha male, then you are the tree and everyone else is a branch. You are one of the few that can see the matrix for what it is. Women can see it, but they can't rise above it- they are slaves to it.

I think this loneliness could drive an alpha to want create a son, or to teach his skills to an heir. The alpha male can only truly be understood by other alphas.

I don't think it's just figuring out this part of life that is annoying. It's figuring out anything. Human nature seems to be that we want what we don't/can't have. When we finally get it, it's like, 'wtf why don't I feel fulfilled?'

Nothing really fulfills us. The closest we can get is the idea of fulfillment while taking part in the journey of whatever it is you wish to accomplish. Maybe somebody else has experienced otherwise, but this is my take on it.

Something people don't think about is that we have a big time anxiety about how we have to stay uncommitted, can't get married, can't settle down because there are always hotter, younger, newer options out there

What if you were a guy that just wanted a girlfriend so badly and you finally got one and you were just happy?

I know that every girl I date between now and who knows how many years from now is going to get her heart broken in a big or small way

He orders the same drink as her (Vodka + tonic basically) but he has an agreement with the staff that she's getting vodka + tonic and he's just getting tonic.

Not being able to connect like when I was a blue pill. I don't fall madly in love with every girl I see, talk to, or have a connection with.

Of course I still have fun, but I no longer have that anxiety feeling because I know something else will come along (and it does).

Having a few drinks renders the natural frivolity and shallowness of a girl's personality more tolerable.

Though I would, in general, recommend club soda over tonic as a mixer. It's really low hanging fruit if you're cutting or trying to stay shredded.

The separation from friends that get married or have serious girlfriends that run their lives.

If I was blue pill or at least fine with having a serious girlfriend to do "couples" things with others, I think I may enjoy those friendships more that what now seem like a shell of what they once were. I feel too ambitious in many areas of my life right now to spend time with that.

Goes back to not enough time to do everything. I was truly blissful in the blue pill days to have accomplished so little and be so content with it.

What others have said-

the isolation- you end up spending a lot of time by yourself or with girls but always at arm's length. If you do spend time w/others, you keep a mask up to shield your many thoughts. 100% intimacy and the fallacy of true love is impossible.

the hunger- the unending lust

energy loss- the time spent gaming, banging, isolating, and maintaining the flow of girls could be funneled into other more productive aspects (business, health, etc)

cut-off- there is a point at which game is no longer possible. Let us not kid ourselves. At 40 your drive will beginning a steady drop. At 60, its going to be even tougher. At 75, lets just say its going to be near impossible. Yes, this can be maintained by diet, lifestyle and drugs (HGH comes to mind), but how long can you keep that gravy train running?

As a beginner/intermediate in the game, it's the massive ups and downs, and the lack of long-term consistency.

It can sometimes really get to me when I'm having an off day, bombing every single interaction I get into, knowing that maybe just a couple days ago I was on fire, bulletproof in every single thing I said or did.

Then again, I stop feeling down when I remember that just a year and a half ago, something as simple as making a cute girl smile would have made my day.

When you're on a long journey, sometimes you get bogged down in how much further you still need to go, when sometimes you need to remember how far you are from where you started.

As someone who's just starting out, the hardest part is either losing or getting rid of people you formerly called "friends".
I have either gotten rid of or lost 95% of my former friend base, as they don't like my commentary on life, society and women in general or if I find them too omega. I'm also finding it harder to make friends, and as such I only have a small group of friends that condone my new behaviors towards life, society and women. What sucks too is that for two of my friends I have provided game tips, and instead of using it to be a player, they went and gotten gfs while not acknowledging the fact that the resources I gave to them (health, mind and game tips) helped them get a gf, not to mention when they talked with me all the talked about was what beta things they both did. One of my buddies didn't even land a good catch, I wouldn't be surprised if his lizard cheats on him, as she tries to play games with me. I don't talk with the guy anymore, but the lizard still tries to contact me.
