RE: Do you want Roosh to keep writing travel guides?
I had the opportunity to talk with Roosh about his "end game" this summer when he visited so I saw this coming. While unfortunate that he's semi-retiring from travel writing I completely understand and support his decision.

I think I mentioned this at the time we spoke but I previously had a brief stint writing for a (travel &) dining site. After reviewing for this site for a while I realized that I could not enjoy eating out on comission because the second I sat down I was already writing in my head. The same reason is why you rarely see me writing lay-reports, because it takes away so much for me of enjoying the moment (if it's to be a detailed report I have to decide on it before I go in).

I can imagine the same being the case for Roosh, who just wants to get back to enjoying the fruits of his labor. Of course this is not the last we see of him, in a year or so we won't be able to keep him away from writing in some capacity.

Add-on to my earlier post: I'll support Roosh in any endeavor he undertakes as long as the forum keeps going. Laugh

Maybe Roosh could make more of these videos?

I voted no, I think he's quite content with where he is now (Poland), he sounds that way, I think he's reached *that* place. I'm sure those guides will be around for a decade or more and still be purchased as more and more disenchanted men start to open their eyes.

Perhaps Roosh has hit and written about all of the places that he feels he can highly recommend other men visiting?

What about a travel guide on Russia?

Contrary to the former FSU countries, this sound like the elephant in the room we miss out on. A huge country with lots of 2nd tier cities...

While I've enjoyed his travel guides and Bang/DayBang, I really enjoyed 30 bangs and Dead Bat the most. Writing things of that nature is what I'd like to see, but I would love to see him venture into fiction like I read he wanted to do. I really do enjoy his writing style and will continue to read whatever he produces.

I've bought some of Roosh's travel guides even though I don't have any intention of visiting those countries in the next few years. I'm sure Roosh has some work planned that will add value to a wider audience. I support him in whatever he does and will buy from him because he is an awesome writer.

RE: Do you want Roosh to keep writing travel guides?
I voted no. I think the travel guides currently out, when combined with his two game guides are enough. Isn't it sometimes more fun to just go to a new country, if you have the time of course, and figure it out for yourself? As I mentioned, often time is a factor, and that's where guides come in handy in a big way.

Moreover, I really, really would just love a Dead Bat sequel. I suppose it won't contain as much fun and camaraderie as Dead Bat due to him being rather solitary as opposed to being in hostels etc. I only finished Dead Bat the other night, but want more!

RE: Do you want Roosh to keep writing travel guides?
pretty tight results here: two out of three guys want Roosh to continue to write travel guides. Memoirs a la Dead Bat in Paraguay are in demand.

As for myself I opt for roosh continuing his travel wirting, but at a slower pace he can easily hold on to, combined to other writing and some video-casting (perhaps to bundle them on a DVD)

Whatever is the case, it is clear we want ROosh V to be around for the years to come. His ROK blog seems to confirm that trend that he hasnt't said his last word yet.

RE: Do you want Roosh to keep writing travel guides?
roosh is not the best writer on this forum. but in fairness i dont think anyone has that title. all the contributers here, some more than others, work to create a great, interesting forum. i thought it would end there. then roosh creates the website "return of kings" which is a great male internet news/article site which while different than the forum is a great read and source of entertainment. i think roosh has a good entrepreneurial sense. im not one to blow smoke up ones ass but i love the forum and his new website is great. i guess thats my way of saying you have my support roosh just dont sell out or let the content suffer.

So, Roosh, if you're not planning on writing more travel guides anytime soon, and Dead Bat is one of your worst sellers, what's the plan? Are you going to write your first novel? More generalized game guides along the lines of Bang and Day Bang, instead of country-specific bang guides?

RE: Do you want Roosh to keep writing travel guides?
Roosh is at the point that a lot of PUAs before him reached. There's more money to be made elsewhere than selling eBooks for a small niche market.

For example, RSD made the big money from workshops, not selling eBooks.

Neil Strauss made his millions by using his mainstream credentials and fantastic writing ability to get The Game onto the NY Times Bestseller list.

Quite a few of the older RSD instructors jumped into Internet Marketing (one of them pulled in 500k last year via his online venture, which I hear is more than he made teaching workshops for 6 years) -- so it's not a surprise that Roosh is pushing into IM with Return of Kings.

Still, I prefer this site quite a bit more than RoK.

I think that the guides are great and now we can take that concept and run with it on the forum. So, we now have guys making datasheets on various locations that can be updated- they are like living travel guides.

Roosh's newest video should be of interest to this thread.

RE: Do you want Roosh to keep writing travel guides?
I think there's a decreasing marginal difference between the travel guides written already, which are only about Europeans (South Americans are more or less European as well, I'd say). Girls are girls. The next travel guide should be set in a totally different part of the world:

Papua New Guinea
India or better yet, Pakistan
An Arab country
The Far East
Central African Republic?

Failing that, I think Roosh should devote his life to fat girl jihad and debunking feminism. Being right early seldom carries rewards, but we here at RooshV are firmly behind him.

A year from now you'll wish you started today

No. I never encourage people to do things that they do not want to do. Instead, I encourage them to do things that they want to do.

I think he meant Tim, who was an Australian RSD instructor. He does group coaching/consulting for people who want to run their own successful location independent businesses.

Roosh voted "NO", but this was supposed to be an unbiased Poll, so we'll have to start it over, folks! Big Grin
