Texting is how things tend to flow these days. The bigger the attention whore, the less likely she will answer the phone.

Calling still works for me, however. It works with women not at the top of the sex food chain.

It's all in the voice mail. I adapted to the lack of answering, so my message game got tight. Leave the right one and they'll call you back immediately. Its not so much that I think calling someone back is high character as I think it makes them a normal human being.

I want zero part of chicks who are afraid of having a 3 or 4 minute phone conversation.

Calling can work, just outside of the US. In the backwards city in Brazil where I taught English, I sometimes met broke girls who had pre-paid phones without any credit, so they couldn't text me back. I started to call girls (even upper class ones) because it gave me the best response rate. I hated calling though, because it was harder to understand them on the phone. And when I got better results calling, I continued calling. As a side note, the girls who never had any credit on their phone often turned out to be the most pleasant.

In the US, the case is much different. The average girl has a smartphone with an unlimited plan for talking, texting, and data. She prefers texting to communicate with her friends and probably sends around 75 per day. She only talks on the phone with her parents. I don't see how it can be in your advantage to call. Unless you have a voice like this man.

Yes, no one answers calls for numbers they don't recognize. This is why when I get a girls number, I immediately call her or send her a text. I often say - "wanna exchange numbers". This way, she knows my number before we part ways. Many times, I will have her send me a text or call me and save my name. Again, this way, her phone knows my number before the approach ends. When I call, my name will show on her phone.

Voicemails can be tricky. I've learned to speak with my big boy voice, slowly and clearly. I keep it short and sweet. Tone is very important. You don't want to sound awkward or unsure of yourself.

"hey stephanie, its giovonny, i just ate at that restaurant we were talking about. Its soooo good. Lets go next week. See ya"

"hey amy, its gio, how'd your test go? I'm about to watch that video we were talking about. hahaha. take care"

Just simple stuff like that.

This is something I have been thinking about for a few months. I recently sent a picture message to a girl I eventually banged. When we met we connected on the subject of mexican food. I texted her a picture of some tacos that I made. She responded really well to the picture. Honestly, I think the picture message is what got her to really think about banging me!

Gio is not advocating not texting. What this post is about, is adding another arrow to your quiver - expanding your arsenal of player weapons. I'm a product of the 90's, I grew up on phone game. My text game is tight. My in person game is tight. I feel, especially for the younger guys, don't be so quick to pass up the chance to learn phone game.

Here is a sample voicemail I left a DC 8.5 about a week ago. "Hey Angie, It's Kenny Powers - call me!!" in a firm voice. Got a call back within 2 minutes, she sounded happy and said "i love how your message just told me to call you, that was awesome".
