No,everyone who is interested has said so on the thread. I think about 10 people have said they want in but I see a small tight knit team 3 or 4 that actually make it out there.

Wow, this trip sounds so good. Would be great to finally meet up with a bunch of the guys from the forum in person and have some solid wings. I'm so tempted to do it now but ill wait until it's sooner and make up my mind.

Has everyone settled on Novosibirisk? Also I think driver sounds way better than owning our own car in Siberia, just sounds like we could have trouble doing that route.

With 800 dollars a month plus gas we should be all right with a driver.
Vorkuta had a great idea and I will PM and call him in mid January on Skype to verify if I can go. Most of you guys should do the same.

I like the size of Novo. I grew up in a city of about 1.1 milllion (metro area) and you can get by autonomously. It's a good size, somewhere between the typical city and town spectrum. I also like is geographic position, smack in the middle of the continent. Also, like you said it's near Astana Kazakhstan and a lake for some day-trips.

RE Vladivostock - I agree it has a mythical appeal, and it's also a port town, but I think it's too small. Probably about 1/3 the size of Novo. Just too small to spend that much time IMO.

Vladivostock seems good too. But we want pure white Siberian girls and the ability to go hit some towns when we want to. Kazan would be better for me as a latin guy.....but the dream of Siberia has always been in my head.....since watching Dr. Zhivago lol.

Yeah I met a Russian girl from Kazan who was grinding me hard at a night club. Couldn't speak much English but it was bizarre meeting a Russian Asian girl. Her demure was much sexier than that of a southeast asian.

I think I played one once, I believe the sound of a snare is best to get a real driving sound, but if we can put together a band and make to Novosibirsk and play, that accomplishment alone would be hilariously bizarre. "I played in a band in Siberia" would be a great thing to tell the nurse in a nursing home when you're old. She would think you were insane.

It also would be a total great social camouflage for the snatchhounds involved. Even those that don't play can have roles as recording engineer, whatever so it looks really legit.

With modern broadband it's possible to arrange and practice songs and be ready to kill when we arrive.
