RE: The Poland thread
I just spent 7 nights out in Krakow. Got one snl. frankly, krakow is not that great. I came here after spending a week and a half in Poznan going out every night. Comparing Poznan and Krakow is tricky. In Krakow there is at least something going on every night, whereas in Poznan, 3 nights out of the week it can be very rough to find anything at all.

Also, the number of Latin men in Krakow is simply comical. In Poznan, you definitely are much more exotic, but it's nothing like being in FSU. Poznan bitch shields could be surprisingly high, even in hipster student joints.

Being a lighter skinned white guy from the west can be an edge over the latin men in terms of getting with the latin erasmus students in krakow. There are tons of hot spanish, portuguese, and italian women in Krakow

RE: The Poland thread
Smitty so why are you in Lodz again? It is pretty rough around the edges and the streets feel pretty dead. Apparently unless you live on the main strip anywhere else in the center is pretty dodgy. I am only 5 minutes walk but it looks like my street just got bombed in WW2. Have you checked out the nightlife yet?

It could be the cold or perhaps just this particular city, but the quality of women has just taken a massive nose dive. Have I been spoilt in Russia & Ukraine?
On a plus side I do like all the shopping centers, restaurants and cheap prices... Manufaktura is really nice Smile

It got so cold here yesterday I got some weird 24hour flu virus that knocked me out last night. Seriously thought I was going to die.

Is it the general consensus Krakow should be avoided? I quite wanted to go but I can't seem to find anything particularly positive about the place on here.
Is all the nightlife located in the main square?, and what are the best bars / clubs to check out?

RE: The Poland thread
it depends what you want...

* check [ nightlife guide ] and sign up for a guest list. free covers/drinks and random promos

* facebook: go see and LIKE Kakao Events fanpage. they organize various events offer discounts and stuff. also you can read there how to get free kakao card that gives you free entry at specific events and discount drinks. also LIKE every club so they will send you promotions about the events.

* like for me i liked: Cień, Coco, Prozak, Ministerstwo, Shakers and Frantic. they're not so big though. not exactly the type where you can lose your friends inside. they are all quite close to each other.

* when you notice that at 3-4am all of the people are somehow gone it means that they're either hooking up went to Kitsch club. it's kind of weird afterparty spot.

* as for Coco club and sign up for Coco's guestlist there. they also use some cool point system which allows you to exchange points for drinks.

* the cheapest hostel with best location IMO is Good Bye Lenin - Let's Rock . it's about 30-40PLN/night in dorm room (also in the summer time). it's placed 3-5 minutes of walk to main square. hookups are negotiable. if cash doesn't matter at all then check out Flamingo hostel - even closer to the nightlife.

* public transport.. [ link ] train/bus station is not that far away from the main square. maybe 15-20 minutes of walk, depends how many girls you talk to during the walk Amuse

* if you into major sightseeing then get yourself Krakow Tourist Card which allows to take free rides on municipal transport during the day and at night and to get free admission to 30 museums. available at tourist information centres.

* when solo it's super easy to befriend people at the hostel and go out with them at night. after all we all want the same thing..

* also check Krakow In Your Pocket

* polish rumble knows the place

RE: The Poland thread
Thanks for this XXL. I much prefer smaller bars clubs so that's great especially if they are next to each other. If anyone else has 1 or 2 SOLID nightlife options let me know.
I will be getting an apartment so no need for hostels.
P.S. I am a terrible tourist. I tend to just sit in cafes and work in the day so open to ideas for good places with wifi Smile

RE: The Poland thread
It is true that polish girls forgive a lot of imperfections.I have seen tons of them in Greece dating way inferior looking guys(very often old, ugly, married Greeks or very poor average looking immigrants).I recently asked one of my girlfriends why her friend dates so ugly guys(she is beautiful, blonde) and she told me she cannot understand. She also asked her this question and she answered:''Because I love him.''Let's say in some ways polish women are shot in the head they operate in strange ways(for example when an ugly, poor and not very intelligent guy is preferred over a young, rich, intelligent guy fully in girl's understanding). There is a complex mechanism behind this which we may as well contribute to the general inferiority complex of polish girls(you can also call it ''down to earth'',not demanding etc).

Many of them are also open to money propositions meaning the sweet girl you think you nailed with your charm will go straight to the old guy after you to extract some cash for her loan telling how much she loves him.In this case I use Balkan ignorance not call her on that, play the romantic guy who is blind to the girl's deceptions.

Also a polish girl's ex is never exactly ex(meaning they have sex from time to time) so they keep a harem of boyfriends which you should be aware of.A very large percentage of them are in relationships(since they have very low standards for guys) but are open to any proposition(they are ready to jump tree and dump their boyfriend). The whole issue is the presentation how you carry yourself. They also suppose that if you belong to a certain age(older than 30) you are married 100% if you have some minimum value(like it is the case in Poland) so you play the same game as them.It is the reason they have very low level of guilt although there can be some remorse. This is the reason they can so blatantly lie in your face in some cases.(they suppose you also lie often).Generally polish girls have no shame in the protestant, western way. From western view they are very unreliable and the western world condemns them as low class hoes.
So in some cases they tend to avoid western guys in order no to feel beta and not appreciated.I could write columns about that, they are complicated and I can never describe them accurately from all points of view.

heading to Wroklaw tomorrow and looking forward to seeing Polish girls in person.

any pointers on what my "backstory" should be?

I am in Prague now and I have the feeling that the czech girls can see through my bullshit. Many flakes.
