I was going to go to a morning hockey game, but somehow my battery managed to die while the phone was ON THE FUCKING CHARGER. So I woke up late and didn't have time to get ready, then travel downtown for the game.

Fuck it. Time for a beer. I'll just listen to the game on the radio. And maybe chuck this fucking phone out the window.

went to this chicks house who kissed on the first date within the first 45 mins. Go to her house and shes all quiet and being weird. Throw on a movie, she kisses a bit during. After shes like hell naw you have to earn it. Black chick that would be a solid 7 if she didn't have dreads/dressed better. She was all cuddling up on me during the movie now my entire body smells like the perfume she was wearing and its giving me a headache. I tell her I have to go study (huge school day tomorrow I'm not prepared for, but I've spent my whole 4 years here winging it). She tries to get me to stay. I really need to study. I also noticed cut marks all up and down her arms, seems really insecure. Might just give up on this one. ANYWAYS. get to the bus stop, get on the bus, get off. Get to my bus stop and its 15 minutes for the next bus. I walk 10 minutes to where I can catch that bus and another one. As I get there I run towards the stop as a bus pulls up. I'm standing there in front of the door and the bus driver just shuts it on me. I yell FUCK YOU BITCHHHHH, hold up my middle fingers. The girl who got off the bus started walking quicker. Walk up to the street and the fucking pizza place is closed. Walk to the store and the store is fucking closed (its 10pm). So I walk the 20 minutes to my place and the bus passes me just as I get to where I would stop.

Seriously though, I have noticed I'm really negative. Need to go hit up Gio for a crash course in positivity ahah.

Anger can provide a good energy boost. It gets the blood pumping!
It can be exciting and stimulating when channeled properly.

Better to let your anger out most times then keep it in and get gray hairs and cancer.

When I'm playing ball, I like to get angry, it gets me fired up and engaged. I like to take it personal with my opponent.

Appropriate levels of anger and negativity are important.

Alot of guys are overly negative and it hurts their performance. Some guys are overly positive and they convince themselves they are happy with less.

Too much of anything is not good. Everybody needs to find the balance of positivity and negativity that is best for them. For me. its about 80/20 - 20% of the time I just say suck it and get mad. Usually, when nothing else is working and I feel like I'm in a rut, and there is no flow or momentum.

Gotta mix things up sometimes. Get mad at your girl just to see what happens..

If you can focus your anger into positive action, you are a better man then me.

That's a heroic level of misanthropy.

I don't take shit nearly that far, but I've got a couple employees I troll pretty hard. However it's all performance based. They show up on time and work hard so I can't fire them, but I remind them daily how much they fucking suck and they're lucky I keep their sorry asses around since no other kitchen in town would allow their pathetic work (truth be told they're pretty good now but I never tell em that)

On average I go through about 2 employees a week, though that's slowed down recently, I think the crew I have is here to stay with one or two stragglers. I will say I hate most cooks. They fall into several categories:

-Wide eyed culinary grads. These are the young dipshits who grew up on Top Chef thinking that's what it's all about, to be on T.V. They love playing with fussy, complicated food where there's 3 sauces and 5 garnishes on every plate. They come to work for me and can't even cook a vegetable or piece of meat properly, have absolutely no command of the basics, and they're sent packing within 48 hours

-Midlife culinary grads. These poor sorry suckers usually have 3 degrees and never figured shit out and now they're 100k in students loans, only to get into the real world of line cooking and be told they're gonna start at 10-11 bucks an hour and do that for 5 years until becoming a sous chef making a hefty income of 32,000 a year. Their previous cushy job as a white collar drone making 75k a year has not set them up to get yelled at by a tyrannical chef who would prefer Mexican/central america migrant labor over their educated ass

-Veterans. Usually older mexicans/central americans who have been cooking as long as I've been alive. While I respect the fact they earned their stripes, all too often it's a case of teaching an old dog new tricks, plus some underlying insubordination issues in taking orders from a young white dude like myself. These guys tend to think they know everything and are only too happy to cut corners when you turn your back for a split second.

Gio great post. Its really hard to get out of that negativity hole, when you don't want to do anything, when you think stuff is hard or stupid. Its been happening a lot with school related stuff. I look at my assignments and think "I give 0 fucks about learning this material so I'm just going to do something else". I think its also fear of failure coming up. I really do not care that much about what I'm learning, but I think I'm scared of failing so I just don't do anything and blame it on not giving a fuck.

Me and my group split up the workload and they gave me a harder part that requires all of the other parts to be done. They haven't given me their parts and my anger at them and the project in general just increased. Then I realized FUCK IT. FUCK THEM IM GOING TO CHANNEL MY ANGER INTO MAKING A FLAWLESS/DETAILED ANSWER TO WHAT I HAVE TO DO. and I'm doing just that.

On a side note I hate cockblocking beta orbiters. girl: Its way too hot in here. me: lets step outside. orbiter: OMG ILL COME TOO.

When I was in high school, two friends of mine were seriously overweight. One about 5'6" and 200+ lbs., the other about 5'8" and pushing 300 lbs.

In the last couple of years, both have got their shit together, started exercising, eating better, etc. and both of them now weigh 160 or so. Seriously muscular and way more confident than I remember them being 5-10 years ago.

TL/DR - Fat bitches are disgusting, and should learn by example of two guys I went to high school with who got their shit together.
