Adelia Zeidler takes a walk out side her home in Augusta, Kentucky. The mother of two drives an old Volvo car and lives in a tiny village a few doors down from her and George's parents.


Asked what she makes of rumors that her brother is secretly gay, the 52-year-old laughed.

“Yes that’s quite ridiculous, we don’t even listen when people say things like that anymore. I think he decided that in his life he could have the career or he could have a family,” she said. “And so when he decided to go full bore into the acting. That was where his focus was going to be.”

I post this not so much because I think there was ever a question about this dude's sexuality (I've never heard any whispers about him, so I don't know where that comes from), but more because...LOOK AT HOMIE'S SISTER!!!! She is flat torn up! If you've seen pics of Clooney's dad, she looks a lot like him in the face, but the rest of her...DAMN. And to think she once had show biz asperations of her own. If she had gone that route, I wonder if she would have still let herself go like this...

Actually, they are. There's a community center or something named after the WHOLE family (the plaque has all of their names on it, not just George's). Before George made it, dad was a tv newscaster. Dad's sis was Rosemary Clooney, who was married to Jose Ferrer, a two-time Oscar winner and first Latino to win one (actor Miquel Ferrer is George's first cousin). For their era, they were probably equal or MORE famous than George is in this era. That family pretty much has always been local royalty.

Im sure George has hooked them up. He once bought his assistance a house closer to him so she could avoid the long commute. I think the family just likes the simply life.

Didn't realize the Ferrer relation. She needs to hire a stylist and personal trainer with all those millions! Damn!

Exactly. I think they enjoy life as it is. They're comfortable in their home town, and if they wanted/needed, George would hook them up with whatever. People automatically feel like the relatives of famous people should be living exactly like they do, but sis stated in the story that she's not comfortable living that way (rarely visits Hollywood, even though she'd be welcome at her brother's mansion). I'm sure they're all just fine.

Any pictures of her when she was young? I'm curious if she was always so homely or if it's just making typical American woman life decisions that made it so (bad diet, no exercise, etc.)

I've never heard anyone question his sexuality, but maybe in the Hollywood press there have been silly whispers. It seems you haven't arrived until a gay rumor gets started about you. The thing is, Clooney HAS been married, and decided that life wasn't for him. and he isn't a commitment-phobe necessarily either - he's had long runs with these girlfriends, but he makes it clear from jump that he's not interested in marriage, or kids inside or outside of marriage. I think once these chicks realize that he's really not going to change his mind, they decide mutually that it's time to split.

His sis's looks aside, she was dropping some real talk about how celeb marriages for the most part don't work out. You see the same story over and over. Celebs marry. Both work and are apart a lot. One or both cheats with a co-star. They break up because their schedules didn't allow them to spend enough time together. Common sense would dictate that unless one of you makes a conscious decision not to work and follow the other around, you're not going to see a whole lot of each other. It seems kind of silly to get married when you live that kind of life. If you're going to fuck co-stars anyway, why create the annoying legal entanglement when you break up?

It seems like George could swing either way, though I'll lean more on straight for now. There have been cases of famous guys who seemed were forever single or couldnt hold a relationship. Next thing you know BAM! They come out of the closet. Anderson Cooper and the tall skinny guy who plays Sheldon from the big bang theory are good examples of this. Maybe our feminazi media is making conclusions based off these cases.
