Within the top-50 we have:

Jammer is right, the morphing preferences are associated with porn addiction. In my opinion I think that at least 1/5 of the population has this particular type of addiction.

That's a common viewpoint, with truth in it. Though I don't feel it covers everything. There are a lot of successful and well-adjusted men on this forum who I am sure watch tonnes of porn but do not need to watch an 18 stone granny being gangbanged to get their jollies. I would doubt very much that many would state their instinctual preferences have changed by way of watching porn. Anecdotally I couldn't agree more. I am sure there is evidence to support this somewhere.

I stopped watching porn years ago and I think it probably was a good move. Soon after I stopped jerking off after reading The ways of the Superior Man. I definitely get more accomplished in a day, not to mention beautiful women still turn me on and that is all I need.

Here's my theory.

Not read the article, but have seen the famous video talk on this subject. That's more about porn dampening desire from a constant variety of stimulus, which one would think we can all agree with. Agree with your general point, but I don't think incest or non-homosexual cuckoldry porn is that bizarro. Both are pretty much staples of pornography (Taboo, interracial porn which was always hinting at cuckoldry).

It happens to quite a few men. Some straight men watched so much porn that they only get off on Tranny and gay porn, yet they are still straight. Porn can distort the mind to that point.

Dude quit watching so much porn, especially that wierd shit. That builds addiction and burns into your brain overtime that the shit you're watching is what happens in the real world. It's not. I think there have always been sexual deviants, and porn merely fills certain niches that already exist. You like animals? Well, we've got videos for you. Like fat chicks? We've got some of those too. I don't think that guys that like normal, heterosexual sex with normal women will suddenly grow bored of that and feel the need to up the ante with videos of chicks getting shit on. Saying that, there are cases where rock stars etc have been swamped by women and then found it increasingly difficult to be stimulated by vanilla sex - resulting in them going off the rails sexually. In this case, the reward for our effort is meted out in a way our brain knows how to handle. Which is why the self-made man will feel a sense of fulfillment the rich kid will in all likelihood never experience - because he has had to expend risk and effort to achieve a goal. This is normal human drive and goal-seeking behaviour - which is what we are designed for as a species. This is normal, healthy behaviour.

Porn OTOH, is an EXTREMELY LOW RISK (in the eyes of our survival mechanism) way to activate our brain's reward circuit. But like all drugs, we need more exposure and more potency to get the same high. Novelty (of the material) is another way to get a potent hit our brain is telling us we need. Little effort, high perceived reward (chemically at least). The same script for all addictive substances. So we have the proliferation of the supply and demand of bizarre, twisted shit. Evil Dead is a cult classic, but the 2nd one is better and basically a remake. Army of Darkness is real good too.
