What Goldman wants, Goldman gets.

So, let me see if I understand this, you are actually happy to have a President that has been bought by and owes his election to Wall Street?

Yeah and what, like 25% of the country thinks he's a Muslim that was born in Kenya too right? I don't put much value in American public opinion about much of anything. Most Americans are low information voters, ignorant as shit about the world, easily duped by slick campaign ads.

Telling me that Romney has experience doesn't mean shit when the type of experience he has clearly shows who his loyalty is too. Hint: it ain't you and me. Romney is whatever he has to be to get elected. He was once pro choice but now he's pro life since he's running for president. Obama care is modeled on Romney care, but now he's an arch enemy of Obama care because the people that own him forced him to be. Who knows what the hell he really thinks on anything. All his talking points are written for him by right wing think tanks, which he did a great job of rehearing at the debate. On top of that the idiot is rattling the saber at Russia and Iran, and wants to ramp up military spending to cold war levels, like two fucking wars isn't enough.

That's fine, Speakeasy. The first paragraph was an excellent argument against democracy. The American public is too dumb for freedom. Lord knows, I've agreed from time-to-time (like when they elected Obama). What makes them susceptible to Republican lies only. Democrats never lie?

As for your particulars about Romney's policies - every single politician sells his soul for silver - it's part of the game! So you're just nit-picking. Remember Obama flip-flopping on gay marriage? Is it the flip-flopping itself or the issue you disagree with? Pick. If the former, welcome to reality.

If the latter, well... disagreeing with his policies on his website sounds like a good basis for discussion, and the only one in which we can have any kind of rational discussion. Otherwise all you've got is "right-or-wrong, I hate Romney" and you're just throwing a hissy-fit.

A year from now you'll wish you started today

RE: Presidential Debates 2012
I feel sorry for the Obama worshippers, they've seen their man-god crash and burn and are just starting to realize he is only a genius when there's a teleprompter around. They whine, lie, and make excuses for the guy like he is their buddy but if he were the QB of their football team they'd be ripping him to shreds and chasing him out of town.

Americans may be viewed as fat, beer guzzling, low IQ neanderthals, but we have always known when it's time to quit screwing around and get serious. Obama is now the candidate of Big Bird while Romney focuses on the issues Americans care about.

RE: Presidential Debates 2012
If neither gets enough votes to win outright this goes to congress and they appoint president correct? Since they are more republicans one would assume Romney would win out but will there be pressure to re-elect Obama based on him getting both the popular vote and more electoral college votes?

Uh oh, another debate! I think this one may be less consequential than the last where Romney won big. The last town hall debate Mcain lost the election when he declared the fundamentals of the economy were sound and Obama said he would fix the economy.

These guys are going to be at each others throats and I don't know about you guys, but I like to see my politicians sweat. Will someone score a knockout tonight?

I miss the days of a indy candidate being in the debates. Ross Perot carried his own, getting 19% of the popular vote in '92.

Anybody else think that if Obama bombs again, the WH will come up with some kind of national 'emergency' and the third (and last) debate will be miraculously cancelled?

The moderator is so fat. If you can't moderate food consumption, you shouldn't be moderating anything.

It's pretty even but Romney seems a bit flustered to me and Obama is very assured. I think a tie favors Obama, by the time of the election people will have forgotten about the first debate.

I don't think these debates matter much anyway.

Edit: This girl Katherine who just asked Obama a question, would hit.

Katherine, 6/10* before her question, 2/10 afterwards. Would not bang.

Totally. But this debate is about Obama bashing Romney. Right now it seems tied. Both sides will feel vindicated, but overall Obama seems more interesting because this is an improvement for him over last time.
