This isn't a great story, but I'm going to tell it anyway.

I was at a 2 day Labor Day party this weekend at the house of a friend. I was the best man at his wedding. Suffice it to say, I'm close with him and his wife. I hadn't seen them in about six months.

About 3/4 of the way through the night, I some fat little meatball of a girl stopped the group conversation to tell me that she was observing me earlier in the night, and that she thought that I talked down to women. She wouldn't back off from this assertion.

The thing is, there wasn't one woman at the party that I was intent on hitting on (and therefore to whom some of my pickup technique could have been observed to be "too dominant"). I had slept with the friend, that she came with that night, in the past, but I was no longer interested in that friend. I was friends with some other women there, who to I can't for the life of me remember saying anything to that could be interpreted as "talking down to". The troll who confronted me couldn't think of any specific examples, but remained entitled to and intent on instructing me on my poor attitude toward women.

Fortunately for her, alcohol can have two effects on me. One effect can be bad. The other is that I will be more calm and measured than I would be sober, because the last thing I want to do is ruin a party or let myself get too worked up. So, as far as I can remember, I gave her a free pass and diffused the attack without attacking her.

But the next morning I was pissed. She remained at the house most of the morning, and didn't apologize to me. She actually tried to engage and joke with me. You know how funny those fat hyper-feminized girls are. I kept my cool and ignored her. But I'm still pissed that some random girl would choose to stop a party, at a close friends house who i hadn't seen in such a long time, and try to tell me who I am.

I guess sometimes it takes a man to let a 'woman' be a pig. That's my high road. But, especially after what I've been through in my life and what I know of the psychology of girls like that, its very difficult not to want to destroy that fat little ego and make her cry. Maybe she just needed to put a man in his place to keep her ego afloat. After all, I hadn't even noticed her before she told me off. My gift to her.

Funny story. I don't think I would have had that kind of patience with her. Of course at first I could have just bitten my tongue but after she persisted so long I would have needed to say something to place her back where she belongs.

I do know this type of woman and I cannot stand them. Unfortunately for me there is currently some femanazi that swings by one of the offices I sit in to see my office mate. I'm talking little to no make up (she's going for the heroin sheik art school look I guess) short almost boyish hair, eye brow ring, visible ink on her arms, chubby belly, chubby legs, and I've observered her with some sort of chapped herpes-esque formation on her lip before. Anyhow, she is always coming by talking to my office mate about relationships and how men are pigs and she just wants to "hook up" sometimes without attachement, but the men always call her back (yeah right) anyhow since I'm at work it's the worst because I have to be real careful what I say to this piggy.

This also happens sometimes on those nights where you have your groove on and have a number of women on the go. When you've made your selection, often one of the others that was flirting with you will publicly try and put you down about your sleazy efforts or how she can "see straight through all your bullshit". These scenarios are never really a problem though. If anything the one you're with becomes more attracted. As stated above just girls trying to re-gain their ego.

the best punishment you can give her (or could have given her at the party) was to outright ignore her, and see her as invisible. i.e. not even look at her, not responding to her, totally ignoring her like she is not even there...that would have turned her crazy.

When someone is talking shit you have every right to ruin a party and tell her to go fuck herself. You standing there and taking her dribble makes you look like a bitch, which will give other people opportunities to shit on you too( at the party or later on).

Women will tell you to go fuck yourself and then act next day as if nothing happened. Don't expect an apology. Btw, women love talking shit to guys in front of other people, it's safe. No guy is stupid enough to punch her( white knights), and usually guys won't do anything.

She's lucky she has a vagina, otherwise a bottle would of been used to open her fucking skull.

this is so true! i can't remember how many times i've heard girls (always lame & ugly ones) tell people when her boyfriend is standing right next to her that he wouldn't be able to get any other girl, that she's doing him a favour by going out with him, that she's out of his league etc

in terms of the original post, i would def not cause a scene at someone else's party regardless what happens. even if it's obvious this idiot girl started it, people will always remember you negatively for it.

it's the same thing with work, ie female co-workers - i've often had to bite my tongue and not say what i'm thinking when some unattractive, overweight sleazebag is giving her opinion of men, dating etc

I think someone has the right to assert themselves, but I'm also worried , incorrectly or not, about acting _overtly_ hostile and kind of triggering everyone's adrenalin, thereby kind of ruining the party for the innocent.

However, I think if you do it right with humor instead of frontal assault you can kind of get your point across. I just can't think of how not to be brutal. Any ideas on, let's call it "humorous deflation?"

You call anyone on their shit when they step on your toes, man or woman. Women are easy to deal with, just put them on the defensive and then drop them with a comment that hits them where it hurts the most. Their own social circle. When the girls around her start laughing you have her beat. Simple formula when it comes to putting anyone in their place

1) Joke around that its a misunderstanding and make it seem as if they are over reacting, trying to defuse
2) When they push the issue, you break them into pieces. You dont take anyones shit
3) You then turn to the group, and ask if this behavior is typical of the person and joking laud them for tolerating their friends social inadequacies, making them the butt of the joke.
4) Then in front of everyone ask them directly why they are so insecure and why they feel the need to compensate for it.

That has them on the defensive. They either get upset and leave or they want to push it further, to which you say outright in front of everyone that you have no desire to waste your time with a rude, insecure, socially inept sad cases who are looking to be the centre of attention. Then you tell them to piss off

Men may want to respond with violence. Thats fine, kick his ass. Women will storm away and will probably end up crying. Who cares. Needless to say, its asshole game for the entire group and no man is going to fuck with you afterwards and no woman is going to test your limits either.

If it turns out ugly and you end up leaving, thats fine too. At least you leave with your self respect and the shit does not bother you afterwards.

Lets use your case as an example:

- When she says she noticed you talking down to women, just tell her you will come spend some time with her when the moire interesting people have left and there is no need for her jealousy. After all, she seems like a nice girl and all but you are only one man and you cant entertain everyone at once. She was actually the apple of your eye you were just playing hard to get.
- She will no doubt have some snarky comment or become confrontational if she wants to push the issues, to which you attack her weight. Ask her if she is so miserable because she is chunky or if someone kicked her dog today. Tell her its difficult to have any respect for a person who does not look after their appearance and then becomes insecure about it. Tell her she should be ashamed of herself and if she wants to find a man to treat her like princess she needs to either hit the treadmill or find her fucking manners and treat strangers with respect.
- Turn to the group you are with and ask them if they spiked the punch bowl or if she is always like this when she is not the centre of attention. Joke further and say that the next time they invite you over, can they please prepare an instruction manual for their guests. Joking and laughing as you do it.
- In front of everyone, ask her if she is socially awkward and if she is over compensating.

What happens then will happen. Either she would have lost the plot and started shouting, in which case you have won. You just keep laughing at her and insulting her. She may try to hit you, in which case you have won. If some guy stands up and tries to defend her, tell him that if he wants to really impress her he can drive her home quickly, but stop off at McDonalds for a milkshake to ease her suffering ego.

Why oh why would you for a minute allow someone to speak to you like a child or weakling? You are a man FFS. Learn to stand up for yourself. Fuck keeping the peace. Fuck worrying about ruining it for everyone. They had the audacity to disrespect you and if people dont like it they can get fucked too. Besides, chicks love drama and they love assholes. Maybe you get lucky and get to punch someone too. They will be camping outside your house waiting to steal your used condoms not matter how they respond initially.

You and wolf are right. Here's the thing though. I think I was too drunk to engage in a verbal jousting at that point. Lets put it this way: I had just gotten out of the pool naked about 5 minutes before. I just didn't have it in me to get so negative that quickly. That she sought to ruin my good time, at that point, pisses me off more.

Also, remember that I got into a fight with a cop at a party about 4 weeks ago. (detailed in a previous thread). I'm trying to turn over a new "no drama at parties" leaf. I wouldn't have been able to strike a balance between measured and effective insults and calmness. I can't fight while drunk without ruining shit. So, I think my "social preservation" instinct kicked in. The next day I was too tired and fuzzy to engage her. Now, sober, I would destroy her. But I don't think she'd be so stupid to engage me while sober. I think she saw a weakened (drunk) target and took a shot.

Her friend still snuck into my bed that night though, blew me, and left. I think its the same friend who put her up to trying to call me out under that bullshit "talking down to women" premise.

The ironic thing is, for her, if I ever see her again, she's going to get talked down to like she's never experienced it before. And in a way that doesn't validate her with the attention that she sought to begin with. Just mindless cruelty. I hate that that little troll succeeded in getting into my head. What's funny is these women fuck it up for themselves. I see this all the time. They are the loudest, most annoying people. The alpha guys fuck them and dump them, because nobody wants to deal with their shit, and then they are left all alone. They make just get the attention of all men around them but nobody is going to put up with it. I just ignore them or smirk. If they are your superior I just listen attentively and ignore what they said 20 seconds ago. If they ask what they just said then I repeat a couple of bullet points they mentioned earlier and they fuck off. Don't talk about them behind their back, they are always looking for a male target to put down all the time.
