Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
Whether guy or girl?

For me it was around 2002. I started a blog called Roosh Log and a local DJ started reading. We shared the same interest in music (trance). One day he invited me to his apartment to hang out and listen to some music. I was nervous as hell because I never met someone on the internet before and thought he would kill me and then rape the body.

He was cool, a Russian guy, and he introduced me to a forum called Trance Addict that I got hooked on for a while. We became friends and hung out quite a bit, many times at the club he spun at, Platinum, a DC classic that is now closed. He actually emailed me a month ago saying he just read a new book of mine.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
I met a Phillapina girl when I was like 13 through an online game. Years later, it turned out she was moving over here to study at a local uni and she came to watch my band, and we met up. We still hang out a bit now, but she's ruthlessly dedicated to her boyfriend, which kinda sucks, 'cause she's very domesticated and affectionate, as well as being an interesting person. I'd be onto her in a second if she was single.

These days I occasionally "pipeline" for events coming up and meet with other people going if none of my friends are heading there, but I usually just prefer to straight up meet people in person.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
When I was 13 or 14 I met up with a Swedish dude I'd gotten to know on an IRC channel for hackers. He was visiting my city for a couple of days and didn't know anyone. I was nervous as hell, but he turned out to be a cool enough kid in his late teens. He suggested we get wasted and try to 'find some bitches'. I liked the idea but didn't know where to begin; I'm pretty sure he didn't either. Then my mother called demanding I come home because I had school in the morning. He was really pissed off when I ditched him.

Not long after I almost met up with a girl who turned out to be my first SIF. We started flirting in some chatroom, she had pics that were pretty unclear. We texted a lot for a few weeks, spoke on the phone a few times. Then I showed my brother her pics and he called fatty on her and made fun of me for having gotten so into a girl I'd never met. We had arranged to meet but I cut off contact to avoid the embarrassment.

The year was 2004. Just moved to a new city for a job as a 22 year old turning 23. Got on the old lavalife.com, met a girl a year younger than me. To this day she is at least an 8 and a total freak in bed. We never really dated but to this day we still fuck every couple months

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
Just out of high school in 1998, met a girl on AOL chat. Talked, exchanged pics and phone numbers, and a couple of months later decided to get together for a weekend. I beta'd up and drove the few hours out to see her where she lived in Ventura. Got to her apartment complex, walked up and knocked. This chick that was pushing 300 lbs flings open the door and tries to jump in my arms. The pic she had sent me, if it was even her was probably at least 180 lbs ago. The rest of our brief interaction was her following me out to my car crying hysterically asking what was wrong, and why was I being so "mean".

I still don't understand why women think that kind of shit is okay.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
I was 17 I met this girl at an AOL chat who was a year older than me I pretty much made her my girlfriend Hahahaha... She was really good looking and popular at her High School as it seemed...She used to claim to be in love with me blah blah blah ..We had phone sex, she used to claim to be a virgin LOL.. She was hot.. still is.. The day I met her one of her Beta orbiter homies brought her to this park by my house (the guy went onto play basketball by himself while we talked) .. I had never kissed a girl before.. I used to be really shy and a bit chubbyback then.. One of my uncles was teaching me about game but I would never do any approaches I guess thats why this kind of worked It was like that hollywood bullshit of the nice guy getting the girl.. It didnt go far after that ...I guess she didnt like me at the end.. She used to send me all these letters and pictures of her.. which I still have and procrastinate to send back.. its a funny story that only a few people know.. Whats even more funnier that I lost my virginity right after that to some other girl .. But she never knew that haha.. And all this happened in 2003..

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
My one and only meetup from Okcupid.

Due to the conflicting information that she was giving me I thought I was going to get robbed like in the movie SexDrive.

Her okcupid profile said she lived in my town. Then she gave me her facebook and it said she lived in Washington DC. Her phone number's zipcode wasn't from DC or the DFW area. I reached down and pulled out my balls(Figuratively) and sent her a text to see if she wanted to hangout.

She invited me to her apartment which was in a ghetto part of town.

She turned out to be a real Asian and I didn't get robbed.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
I was about 24 or 25 when I went to meet a friend of mine at the Rainbow Room in Hollywood (not a gay bar but an old school Rock bar). My buddy, had recently replaced the old lead singer of the band Adema (who at this point was celebrating the release of their then, new album, which also sucked btw). I ended up meeting two girls that were in the 7.5 to 8 range. Both my age (at the time). I intoduced my friend as the "lead singer" and it was on (they didn't know he was the NEW lead singer, and I of course didn't mention that). We grew up together and he always kissed my ass so having him there doing the same thing threw my status WAY up there.
One girl had green eyes and her parents were from Afghanistan, her name was Asie. The other was a generic blonde with a great ass. I don't remember her name....anyway, my friends girlfriend shows up and of course is being a little cunt. The blonde was digging my friend and said "You guys should come back to my place and hang out". I was all for it and said "Well my friend's gf is here and he might not be able to join us". Asie looked at me and said "This is a four person party or it's not happening". I quickly ran out to check on my buddy and see what the hell was going on. He and his gf were in a full on fight outside and were leaving. I went back in to the girls and the blonde arched her eyebrow "My friend is dropping off his girl and then he's going to meet us at your place." This of course, was complete bullshit.

We went back to her apartment not far away and the girls started doing blow. We all started touching each other and the blonde started getting all testy, demanding to know where my friend was. I pulled out my cell and had a fake conversation with him and then told the girls he was going to be there later than expected.

Eventually the blonde started hooking up with me and Asie stretched out in front of the fireplace. I banged the blonde in the back and then she fell asleep. I walked back into the living room naked and Asie had taken all her clothes off. I just layed down next to her and started rubbing her tits etc. Then I banged the hell out of her. Later on we were taking a shower together and she asked if I was on Myspace. I had no idea what that was and then she told me about it. Myspace had just started months earlier and was based in Santa Monica.

And this is where the REAL story begins. Asie was one of my first friends, and it was like being a celebrity then. The more hot girls you were friends with the better. No one had been in this kind of situation before vis a vie social networking and I had girls on my comments section fighting over me which led to MORE girls being interested. It was TOO easy. I was banging left and right, internet hookups are nothing like it was then. Girls would email me and tell me they thought they loved me.

Eventually, girls caught on to the whole pattern and things started changing rapidly to the environment we have now but, for a good 2 years there it was heaven in L.A.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
When I was 18 I joined a website that talked about the local club scene and had daily deals that you could print out, they had a forum so I'd go on there and post. Started talkin to a girl whose avi pic was deadly, met her at a shitty club that'd let us underagers get in and that was the first time I got angled. Got there and she was carrying extra weight everywhere but her face which worked perfectly for that pic. I was still a beta work in progress back then so I stuck it out for the night instead of instabailing like id do now, didnt touch her, danced, had some drinks got out never talked to her again

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
Great thread idea.

This is some time ago. (Forgive the long post.)

I had just come out of a semi-beta LTR in which I had wasted some valuable salad days. I had very little game, had moved in with my mom to save loot, had an ugly wardrobe, couldn't dance for shit, my hair was lopsided, I had ugly fungus on my toenails, I had 87 dollars in the bank, I was out of shape, I was in debt, and I had barely convinced my bitch-ass ex to let me keep an old beater car (because, unfortunately, she technically had the title) that required the use of a screwdriver to shift from park to drive. I was at rock bottom.

I had a basic understanding of what I needed to do to rectify all of this deferred maintenance, but I knew first step was to get laid. I was backing up quickly, and the rest would fall into place with time. I had some vague idea about how to go about this, but not really.

At the time, I had competent opening game and could maintain a good conversation--despite everything above--but I had terrible closing game. If I'd joined the forum then (needless to say, it didn't exist), I would have been the guy starting threads like, "How do I get the girl into the bedroom??!" or "I live with my parents. Where can I bring girls?" I was opening chicks, but didn't know how to push it sexually right away. My experience had been fish-in-a-barrel, college-style, war-of-attrition, holding-hands game. You meet a girl today, and maybe in six months you two eat lunch in the dining hall together. I'm exaggerating, but you get the point.

Where else does a guy like this go? Online, of course.

I wasn't about to open an account at an actual online-dating site, because that felt too lame, even in my state. Instead--get this--I trawled Craigslist. To this day, I'm convinced I'm the last guy to pull a non-fatty, psycho, or tranny off of there.

I corresponded with several chicks, surprisingly. In those days, most chicks didn't include pictures in their posts. They'd describe themselves, you'd write them, and then you'd exchange pictures. I exchanged with several, but the conversations died out, or they turned out to be time-wasting tire kickers. A couple were fatties, which came out during the picture-exchange phase.

Two of them panned out, and I scheduled dates with both of them in the same week. I was optimistic, but nervous about what they'd really be like. I laugh at the dozens of mistakes I made on those "dates."

(In fact, I will place an asterisk next to each mistake I committed.)

Date 1: Francophile Chick
I drove way the fuck-out to meet this chick.* I was a little nervous because the (one!) picture of her I'd seen had one of those gummy smiles I dislike, though she seemed to have really nice tits. She claimed to love French stuff, so I tried to find some place (in her neighborhood)* that had the kind of thing she liked.* I was trying to get there before her,* but luckily I am an inveterate late arriver and didn't. We met at a French cafe for an evening coffee date, far away from anything else.* She looked pretty good in person, but was like 6'0" (a bad thing in my book), had a lousy attitude, and was pretentious and full-of-shit, like you'd expect a girl who likes French shit to be.

I figured it was a bad sign that she was already sitting, reading some pretentious book, and drinking a coffee when I got there. I did my best to loosen her up,* but she ended up being equally as uninterested as I was. We got a dessert "to split," which she paid half of. After some 90 minutes* of low-quality small talk, we walked out together, hugged goodbye*, and I noticed she was walking toward a red Mustang. I clowned her for it, saying something like, "You drive that?! That's gotta be the most exciting thing about you" [Note the glimpse of nascent game]. She got pissed, got into her car, and peeled out. Laugh

Date 2: Freckled Mexican Girl
I want to say it was the very next day that I had a first date with basically the opposite of that other chick. She was 5'0" and dwelled deep in the hood. Her messages had been nearly incoherent, packed with oblique Internet misspellings and hieroglyphs. We agreed to meet near her "new job," after she got out,* and grab a "beer or something around there." I was really nervous about this one, because the pictures of her were at weird angles and poorly lighted. This was before we fully understood the techniques of SIF-ing and MySpace Angles like we do today.

I pulled in front of the designated area. I'd gotten there early (a rare occurence) and decided that I'd hang back till it was time. I saw some chick standing there, but knew it wasn't her since she looked way different. I looked down at my phone for one second, and then back up, and the chick from outside was poking her face into my car, with big enthusiastic look on her face. She looked good. Tight little body, titties popping, nice legs in a pencil skirt, pale and freckled. Her head was a little large, but she was easily a 7 on the forum scale.

Like an idiot, I suggested we go to nearby Starbucks.* I was still a little thrown by having her look better than I expected. She was super bubbly and laughing and touchy from the beginning. I bought her a coffee (she ordered a small) and we sat down. We had a good conversation, and I had no idea what to do next.* Since getting another coffee wasn't really an option, I said, "Let's get out of here," not realizing that was actually tight game. We walked around aimlessly* and eventually ended up at her pickup truck, which was fortuitously parked in a kind of dark, isolated area. I said goodbye,* gave her a hug, and said we should hang out again.

I started to walk away,* she started to get into her truck, and I came to my senses. I said, "wait up, I forgot something." I walked back up, caveman-grabbed her, made out with her in the street, and pushed her into her into her truck. There, we made out for a long-ass time, she sucked my dick, and jerked me off.

I ended up hanging out with that chick, intermittently--as my game rapidly improved--over the course of the ensuing months. The $1.30 or so I paid for her coffee was the only cash I ever spent on her.

The last time I spoke to her, things were looking up: I had a better haircut, lived in my own shithole apartment, had fixed the shifter in my car, had $500 in the bank, was taking medication for my fungus, and was taking private dance lessons.

It was the beginning of a long ascent. True story.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
Can't exactly remember which stranger was the first one I met from online, but one of the earlier ones was one I met on Yahoo Chat. Even without a picture, and only talking to her on the phone once or twice for a bit, I drove around 70-85 km from Toronto to meet her. Can you say hard-up. Anyways, as I entered the moment of "is that her, or that one?", then I saw her, and said "oh God no" [seems to somewhat be the phrase 4 out of 5 times when going blind].

I struggle to remember her but she was an Italian girl. Pudgy, not a massive porker but not really any admirable form, with a hint of double-chin, and pale. "Greasy" looking, just past shoulder-length, wavy, lifeless hair. A hint of buck teeth I think. She briefly drove me around town, and we stopped off at a Tim Hortons. A little bit into the conversation, and even though not attracted in any way, shape or form I don't know why but I told her she had nice eyes which was a complete lie. It was just a reflection of how bad I felt for her as she wasn't a bad girl, didn't have attitude or a bad aura--I felt bad thinking that she was way beneath my league looks-wise. She told me that her friend, who met us at the start, said "Why do you meet all the cute ones." I was flattered, as being from Toronto a woman wouldn't even tell this to you on her deathbed to not give you any satisfaction. When we messaged each other the next day I pretty much said "I'm sorry, but "I don't want to waste your time""....after which she cried.

Met the sister of a workmate on myspace or bebo, chatted for hours, dated for a while after. Was a shame cause I prefered her sister, but oh well.

Same here, but I didn't bang her. Met some girl online early in college and it ended up sharing a hotel room with her at Ocean City. I was too scared to make a move and was extremely beta back then... not to mention a virgin. Would have been the easiest layup in the world today.

This is gonna be uber beta and I laugh/cringe just thinking about myself back in the day....but...

I met some fellow guild members IRL back when I played Everquest.

Ugh...

Occasionally I think about how many hours I wasted on MMORPGs and where I'd be now if I'd been gaming poon instead. Makes me wanna punch myself in the balls.

Anyway my guild mates were cool IRL, complete fucking nerds as you might expect but we BBQed in their backyard and got hammered.

The one consolation is that I did have a gf at the time (I was 19 or so) and she was pretty fucking hot. An 8 or so that later went on to be a model in NY. I had rudimentary latent game I think, and I'd say I'm a decent looking guy. Only explanation I have for her being into me

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
In 1995 I chatted some girl up from AOL chatrooms. She was going with her friend to the mall and said let's meet up, so I grabbed one of my friends. Neither of us had ANY experience with girls. I had no idea what I was doing and neither did he. He was very worried, and said we should have a sign if things go bad so we can communicate that we are going to leave. Fine I said, just ask "what time are the bulls playing tonight?" and that will be our cue that one of us wants to exit.

So we go there and meet up, and it was just super awkward. I had no idea what to do and neither did the girls. Within a minute my friend asks about the bulls, but I ignore him because I'm still trying. Girls were decent actually. He keeps repeating it so we have to leave. Next day we talked again and she said something about my friend not being their style, and don't recall what she said about me.

1995...goddamn I'm old.

A staggeringly beautiful, half-Argentine, half-American girl when I was 16. We dated for a little while then parted ways because we only got to fuck around once a week. She was fucking stunning, though.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
Way back in the day, aol-era using chat rooms. Somewhere around 97-98, i was in middle school and used to fuck around on the internet looking for girls in the summer with some of my boys. Ended up setting up a meet up at the mall with some bored 13 year old girls that lived about 20mins away. It was super awkward because everyone was really nervous. I think one of my boys got a kiss from one of the girls and that was it.
We repeated this seveal times with different results, sometimes the girls were fat or ugly occasionally there would be hotties., we even got cougars to show us me snatch on webcam. Very y few guys were running this kind of "game" in our age group anyway in tthose days. I peronally never got any bangs from this approach but it did lead to some handjobs. It was an interesting time.

First person I met online was though AOL in 2000, not in the chat rooms but there was a feature that you could search by location. So I searched my city and somehow found a girl that was the same age, 13, and we met at a park. We just talked a little bit and nothing happened. I saw her one other time at high school and nothing ever came of it.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
When I was 18 or 19 I was talking on a video gaming forum (like most here I was once pretty beta with the elements of game simmering beneath) to a German chick in her mid 20's who wanted to meet me when she was visiting my hometown. She was kind of homely and plain (at least she wasn't fat), but I still fucked her.

When I was 25 I met a dude I had been talking to when I went to visit my sister in the US. Don't get me wrong, he was a nice dude, but picture in your head the typical gameless America lower beta and you have this guy; no muscle mass (he looked like my little brother, despite being three years older than me), dressed like a character from The Big Bang Theory, an MMO junkie, mid-level IT job, didn't drink or smoke, had a fat girlfriend etc,. etc,. etc,.

His younger sister was hot and wanted to fuck me, but I just couldn't put it together.

I generally shy away from wanting to meet people online unless a) I know they're cool or b) they're hot and slutty girls.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
A short, chubby big cross wearing Italian-Australian dude I met off a crappy local game forum when I was 16. He schooled me in the art of daygame for a few weeks and introduced me to some local players.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
Two guys ( no :homo: ), back when I was playing D&D in a city where it was extremely rare. I answered an ad on a video game forum full of trolls and creeps, so it's a wonder I didn't get murdered or something. I was 17.

Anyways, met up with those guys (they were 21 and 22), we had a nice chat and actually played two very successful D&D campaigns over the next 2 years. It was nice. One of those guys also had a friend who was a total player (but wasn't an asshole to anyone other than girls he was dating) and whom I got to know, as well as the nerdy but cute girlfriend of one of those two guys. AFAIK, they're still together. All in all, a pleasant experience and I see most of those people occasionally, although we don't play D&D anymore.

A few years later, using the same method for the same aims, I happened to run into a psycho who kept sending me death threats for months. Nowadays, I only use internet to meet girls from online dating or couchsurfing.

RE: Who is the first "stranger" you met via the internet?
Earlier this year, about 6 months ago. I discovered game and spent several months going out day and night (solo, never thought to search online for a group or lair or whatever and I didn't want my friends to know that I was "sarging") and ended up getting into a relationship for 10 months.
