It takes balls to approach, be proud of you.
I'm starting to approach more in these days, we need to develop outcome independence and try to enjoy the moment.

The thing about asking for directions is that it sets the frame of the interaction in a way that is very unbeneficial for you. Good job on the approaches though.

Yes, i bought day bang last year and tried pet shop opener infield. I even had a photo of a parrot i was pretending to look for in my phone. My problem was that even if i managed to engage a girl in conversation and got # or two they turned to be not interesed eventually. Also i dont feel like beating around the bush for too long. I prefer to state my interest soon and dont waste my time.

you probably already know but since youre going direct its even more important to look your absolute best. Style, body, grooming, etc. are extremely important. Maybe find other venues you could game at also since street game is the hardest

Now, lets look at these approaches. You are opening indirectly, asking for directions, thats fine. Then you switch to direct and it seems like they get annoyed.

I think they are getting annoyed because they feel tricked. They know that you never cared about directions, it was all an act in order to talk to them. They feel lied to. You were hiding your true intentions.

Here is what I suggest:

1) Don't reveal your lie. Don't say - "I actually just approached you because I wanted to say hello" . If you lie, just go along with the lie. Get the directions and then try to transition into more personal conversations. Don't admit that you were lying. It can make them feel weird.

Yes, I do it sometimes but I am more advanced and I can do it without them feeling strange about it. I do it with a very joking and flirty tone. I make them feel like I had to lie in order to create this serendipitous moment for both us us. My lie seems flirtacious, your lie seems like trickery. If that makes sense.

Get your directions and then try to transition into more personal stuff. It would help to dropped some bait as you are discussing directions.

Say things like - "Your purse reminds me of the girls in new york city" or "are you spanish, you look like a barcelona girl" or "this part of town reminds me of sao paulo" or "is your dress from bali?".

Dropping bait like this could advance the conversation to a more personal and comfortable level.

As soon as she gives you directions say - "thanks, are you from around here?"

or, - "thanks, are you in this neighborhood for work or play?"

or, - "thanks, you look like a banker/teacher/saleswoman" (just guess based on her outfit)

Something like that. Something that will let you transition into general conversation.

2) Go direct. Reveal your intentions from the beginning.

Just say - "Excuse me, can I tell you something? Your have such a different look, where are you from?"

Or use the line Alphamind shared with us yesterday..

Great advice Gio but i think that alphamind line is way too straight forward, i am quiet sure the majority of girls will just say no thanks, even if they were interested. But overall great advice, actually i use lots of the lines that you use (and i didnt copy them from you haha)

I am still working on smooth and comfortable transition from asking directions to personal conversation and stating my interest. Again thanks for great feedback.

I know what you mean by saying they feel tricked. The more she invests in giving me directions the more she is annoyed when I say what I was really about. Sometimes I make it obvious that I am not serious when for example I asked where is main entrance when staying in front of it. If I am playful enough with my expression she already knows that I am hitting on her. Now, if she already knows what I am really about she has 2 options: walk away immediately or stay and talk to me.

As I said, ideally I would go full direct in most situations. I think direct when its backed up with true confidence reflected in your body language, face expression , voice tonality and so on can make strong impression on a girl. Anyway I am not there yet.

It puts a lot of pressure on girl before she even had a chance to talk to you. Going direct and telling girl you find her attractive is one thing but asking for date/number right off the bat is other thing. You find her attractive, alright, but you still want to find out something interesting about her. Even if going direct alone can create attraction , by asking for date immediately you skip qualification and comfort phase.

In the past I tried different transitions from asking for direction to personal talk.

Me: excuse me, do you know where is street x?
Her: blab la
Me: btw you have unique style

Usually they say thanks and walk away.

Me: excuse me, do you know where is street x?
Her: blab la
Me: I don’t visit this part of the city too often

This one works a bit better.

Hey i like your glasses..keep that shit unique. You look pretty interesting sounds a bit cheesy. Give a real compliment.

Girl: really? Same here I went there last year but had to come here cause I was basically failing out
Me: yeah the science and math classes are easier at a community college, what are you studying?

Here's around where we get to the building idk shit got kind of awkward I kind of froze up and didn't know what the fuck to say to keep the conversation going she didn't really fucking offer any help but my class was on the third floor and I kind of started walking ahead. She sorta fell behind as we were walking up the stairs. Then she said she was on the second floor so she turned around and I kept walking.


Overall pretty wack although looking back on it there were signs of life albeit very very minuscule but to be honest I'm just fucking glad I finally did a day approach. Just went for a night out with Slubu, some fashion evening in west hollywood. Ran plenty of approaches, girls on the street, girls in fashion stores. At a few points we were chillin with girls but honest I wasn't feeling any of em (even that chick with the ginormous tits. Face wasn't that great and as you said, they both had wedding rings, not that that matters....)

Anyway, a very long and random story short, Slubu meets up with some chick he had a date with at a certain venue, and I cruise along acting like we're not acquainted. Fine. I open a couple fat fucking blonde heifers and they hit me with some major fattitude. Then I turn around and see her. Guys, I don't get oneitis or fall for girls, ever. But behind me was this girl, dressed in a mini white club dress, white high heels, hair pulled up, that was fucking GORGEOUS. Borderline 9. I see her sitting by herself for a minute and run my approach. She's Russian, barely speaks any English, does some modelling in London, and is waiting on some friends that are gonna take her to another nightclub.

Well, let's just say it was a learning experience. I got her number. Tried reworking my game to everything I've learned about Russian girls on this board, I tried making it rain. I was ready to buy the most expensive bottle of champagne in the bar for this girl but she wasn't interested, wanted to stick to mojitos, so I bought her one. I tried not to be supplicating, I smiled less, tried being a little more cold and "bad boy".

I got what I thought were IOIs. She was asking me personal questions. I went in for kino, got my arm around her a few times, was playing with a mole that was behind her ear, got her to laugh plenty.

At one point she got up to use the bathroom and after 10 minutes I realized she ditched me. I saw her at the bar, told her she didn't finish her drink, and she said, "You go, go ahead and finish for me."

After getting blown out by this chick, I couldn't stand to talk to another American girl all night so I just caught a cab and went home.

Yesterday. 1 approach

I wanted to tested my New transition from asking for direction to normal conversation. It didn’t go smooth though. I approached her from behind asking about some street.
Me: excuse me where is street x?
Her: blab
Me: you know, you reminds me of I girl I met on my yoga class
Her: oh..
Me: have you ever taken yoga class?
Her: ( smiles), no…

I didn’t want to say next so she put her earphones back and walk away.

Today I made 2 approaches.
I saw a nice girl shopping in the mall. I hesitated but put myself next to her pretending I am checking some stuff. When she walks by me I asked:

me: excuse me, do you know if this fish ia any good?

I was smiling and possibly she sensed that it was just excuse to talk to her so she just smiled and said: her: sorry, I have no clue ( and walked to next isle)

I said to myself “fuck it” and decided to reopen her.

Me: I don’t really care about fish, just wanted to talk to you, you look cute.

She was very friendly and receptive. We had nice talk and she asked me some personal questions but it turned out she had a child and a husband. I wish her a good day and ejected.

I wanted t try my new street opener and stopped another chick in the street. I asked her where I can eat a good pizza around here but she said : I don’t know and kept walking.

I will try this opener again tomorrow.

Just went for a night out with Slubu, some fashion evening in west hollywood. Ran plenty of approaches, girls on the street, girls in fashion stores. She's Russian, barely speaks any English, does some modelling in London, and is waiting on some friends that are gonna take her to another nightclub.

Well, let's just say it was a learning experience. I got her number. Tried reworking my game to everything I've learned about Russian girls on this board, I tried making it rain. I was ready to buy the most expensive bottle of champagne in the bar for this girl but she wasn't interested, wanted to stick to mojitos, so I bought her one. I tried not to be supplicating, I smiled less, tried being a little more cold and "bad boy".

I got what I thought were IOIs. She was asking me personal questions. I went in for kino, got my arm around her a few times, was playing with a mole that was behind her ear, got her to laugh plenty.

At one point she got up to use the bathroom and after 10 minutes I realized she ditched me. I saw her at the bar, told her she didn't finish her drink, and she said, "You go, go ahead and finish for me."

I have no hopes for this girl, but she did tell me to call her tomorrow to hang out and party. I don't see any way I could have ONSed her.

This post sums up some of my nights so perfectly its scary. Its like the law of diminishing returns. You find yourself bantering with a fire chick, creating a connection, only to not be able to close. Then I find myself wandering around afterward trying to find a girl that comes close to the level of hotness of the original. None hold a candle, I lose motivation, and go home dejected reflecting on what I could have done differently.

The few extremely beautiful girls 8.5s and up, I've pulled I'm convinced the stars just aligned that night. My game was absurdly good, probably two levels above normal, and for some reason I could just feel the chemistry myself. I swear they're is just some x factor that cannot be explained.

The times this x factor has happened, I found myself even getting wrapped up in some of the game I was running, creating a connection that I even felt myself. Maybe I was gaming myself? Crazy shit.

Some slightly hungover next day thoughts:

We were in west hollywood in a very gay area. We went out for some Fashion Night Out thing. Literally told a cabbie to take us to the middle of it, found a clothing store bumping some music and people out front, told him to let us out and we crashed it.

Great ratio, probably 50/50, and ALL THE DUDES WERE GAY. Not only that, but I feel like gay guys add a very positive vibe, they walk around complimenting girls like, "Oh honey you look so faaaabulous tonight!" that the girls just seemed genuinely happy and open. We struck up conversations with several girls and for the most part, they were all open and friendly, spent time with a few pairs. No noticeable bitch shields, and no bitchiness in our interactions.

The worst "blowout" we got were some hotties we approached on the street, and even they were friendly, those girls from LMU. Their mother hen came by while we were talking to them and basically told them it's time to go, but there was no rudeness in it.

I was in a little over my head. I've never banged a girl as hot as the one I was with last night, so I was REALLY pushing myself to learn on the fly and to remember my training and the rvf boards. I really wish I had Roosh, Emech, AliB, or other senior player in the corner giving me feedback. Hell, even Kamaki with his knowledge of Russians.

What struck me is this girl's friends never came by while I was there, and I probably spent an hour with her. I started to lightly tease her about it, how it's strange she'd want to be alone and she got all cold and insistent that she likes being alone. She was very hot and cold, giving me the cold shoulder one second and then looking over at me with a warm smile the next. I was trying to be attentive but not needy. I pushed for a venue change but she said her friends were going to be there in 5 minutes, which they never were. She also said she has a boyfriend, asked me where my girlfriend was, I said, "Which one?" She laughed.

At one point she wanted a cigarette so I cruised outside to bum a couple. I haven't smoked a cigarette since a Scorpions concert I went to in like '03 so I was doing my best to fake it and not inhale too much, hold the cig and light it without making an idiot of myself. I was really going outside my comfort zone here and honestly, it felt fucking awesome to get as far as I did. She volunteered her number to me after I asked her what she was doing for the rest of the 10 days she'd be here.

I just didn't understand the ending, she really pushed me away. Maybe it was enough for one night? I didn't get needy on her, in fact, the more time I spent with her the more comfortable and "cool" I became.

Regardless, last night was a milestone. 2 years ago I would never imagine myself approaching a girl like that in a bar, getting my arm around her, getting the number, etc.

This venue and the neighborhood are awesome. Tons of girls walking around, most dudes are gay. You better believe I was getting tons of stares from other hot girls in the venue when I was with the Russian.

Gotta run to the airport, but quickly on thedude's posts:

- My date couldn't stop talking about how hot the Russian girl was. She was seriously gorgeous. At first when you introduced me I don't know if you noticed but I was a bit awestruck and just stared. She started laughing a bit.

- Russian girls are cold and direct, at least in my experience. These upper tier girls are used to it all so not sure how you'd impress her.

- Do whatever it takes to get this girl. Fuck all game, I'd just pester her until she relents

- Yes, a multitude of girls in Russia are like this. It's FUCKING INSANE. I've been to 54 cities outside the US and nothing even remotely comes close to the quality and sheer hotness of Russian girls. Other countries have more fun and fuckable girls exuding sexuality, etc. (i.e. Poland, Brazil) but the visual highlight of my life came at Pacha Moscow where they exercised face control and I was surrounded by more models than I could shake a stick at. None enhanced surgically. All natural beauty.

- The bitch shields were super low, you're definitely right about that. I'm going to go explore that area more these next few weeks, and basically do all my dates at that venue. We were pretty on point last night, making girls laugh, getting girls to leave venues with us, etc. If we had some alcohol flowing those southern girls were down. Just kept getting to places that ran out of alcohol and they bailed. Those LMU girls...damn college girls are so great. That mother hen really cockblocked the hell out of that probably because neither of us were talking to her.

- That blonde married girl my guess is would have fucked. She just finished telling me how her husband needs to read 50 shades of grey, haha.

I am laughing out loud over here, the whole niche game theory is going to prove true in the long-term.

Starbucks Approach : In line about 3-4 people in line, last person is a Girl with a leather shoulder bag, i couldn't see the face. I'm thinking the line is too short and i will not have time to finish and don't know how the girl looks like and ........just say Fuck it... i'm opening just for batting practice..

Her: I got it at Macy's, they had a big sale labor day weekend.

and comes the cockblock , A young brother seemed bothered that i was talking to this girl and said the barrista is waiting for your order just when i got the signal to go GALNUC.

Her: Well it was nice talking to you and goes to order

I order my coffee and ask her to come join me for coffee and we can continue the conversation , she says she has to get back to her project and leaves.

2nd Approach: That I didn't do ....., I was leaving the building and see a latino girl dressed in formal pants and blouse, coming towrads me, we hold eye contact, I hold the door for her, she takes two steps forwards turns around and says thank you, I just say you're welcome and keep walking.... Ding it. There was something in her eyes, a spark something ........ On to the next one.......
