Great question Sebastian. I am sure Krauser can chime in on this as well.

I greatly dislike nightgame - I put myself through it once or twice a week to not leave that side of my game underdeveloped, but if you are teetotal, have a high IQ and are an analytical type like me, nightgame is very hard work. How much you enjoy nightgame is strongly related to your level of primacy (loosely speaking how easy it is to shut off your modern forebrain and act on all the base instincts and impulses of your older animal hindbrain). My level of primacy is very low which makes a disco seem like a crazy fu**** up meatmarket to me every time, constantly analysing the interactions.

So I play to my strengths, which are conversation, wit, humour, intelligence. My brain and my mouth are my biggest assets and nightgame does its best to mute them.

Choose your battlefield wisely - for me its daygame.

I predict that Roosh will be switching to day game in another year or 2.

Night game is fun in your 20's but when you get to be over 32 or 33, the late nights and heavy boozing start to add up. If you are trying to max out your life, build a career, make money, and be healthy, staying up til 4 or 5 in the morning just isn't a great idea.

Night time is when a man should rest. The body replenishes itself between 10pm and 3am. If you want to properly restore your body, max out muscle growth, max out testosterone levels and look as youthful as possible, you should be asleep before midnight, the earlier the better. Proper sleep is probably the single greatest anti-aging practice that we can do.

Time is also an issue, we all work hard to make a living, this requires great time and effort for most of us, do we really have the time and energy to go out chasing girls in the evenings and on the weekends? Wouldn't it be better to just meet girls during the day? How much time, energy, and money would you save if you didn't have to go out at night?

I know, I know, going out is fun and sometimes its just about getting drunk and hanging with your boys. I admit, we all need that sometimes, don't get me wrong, if you love going out and you are getting laid and you like your lifestyle, then ignore this post. Guys in there 20's should be going out hard. This post is for guys that maybe are a little older, maybe are not into the night scene, maybe are ready for a change, etc.

Also, a big part of night game is alcohol. Its fun to drink sometimes but to often guys use alcohol as a crutch. It's "liquid courage", it gives guys temporary confidence, its fake confidence. Whats important is not how confident you are when you are drunk, whats important is how confident you are when you are sober. You sober personality is your personality. If you can't confidently pick up girls sober then your game needs work. If you don't feel confident unless you are drunk then you are not confident enough.

Day game requires genuine confidence, genuine fearlessness. There are no shortcuts, its just you and your masculine power.

I agree with Gio here and I'll add my 2 cents about the transition since that's literally what I'm doing for now.

1. If you have solid night game (eg. can pull one night stands) your "date" from day game is pretty much yours to lose
2. It's a lot more uncomfortable but the girl gives you more free passes on game slip ups. If you fuck up a night, you're done and must leave. You can say a couple stupid things during the day and be fine.
3. Style is amplified 2x during the day
4. In shape body is amplified 2x

Upsides:
1. Quality
2. Healthier
3. Cheaper

Downsides:
1. Lower Returns, In large clubs you can hit up 10+ girls
2. Tame if you like night clubs you are probably very energetic all the time, day game is a little bit less exciting (ex. No one is going to blind side you and try to cock block etc.)

So far I would equate day game to controlling your emotions and night game to controlling your environment.

Day game is exuding swag without being overbearing
Night game is swag and you can be obnoxious even, but obstacles come at you left and right (cock blockers, ugly friends, drinks spilling, breaking her away from friends, getting he off the phone etc.)

After writing this it just hit me, the job caused me to start with night game since my life entails juggling a billion things steadily environment, where day game is more of a meditative state.

What day game venues have you found to be fruitful, that also let you stay fairly stationary?

Of the day game I have done, one of my biggest annoyances with it was having to constantly walk and scramble to approach, whereas in a bar you never have to go very far.

I recently picked up a girl in a quiet wine bar, best of both worlds - quiet, intelligent conversation, drinking unnecessary and same night lay. But these joints usually have a low volume of girls. If you get seated next to the right girl at the bar, it can be easy peasy, otherwise, you get nothing. Plus young girls gravitate towards loud crowded bars, not sedate wine bars.

University Library
University Food court
The airport arrivals area
Big fancy shopping districts (in font of the fancy womens stores)
High end malls
Big touristy areas like Times Square in NY or Union Square in SF

Just go to any major college and find the coffee shop.

I used to have an office on a college campus and that was amazing. I also worked at the college farmers market and that was awesome too. I have also bartended in the afternoon and that was great.

If you just wanna sit down and have and an endless stream of pretty girls approach you, I would set up a cheap jewelry and sunglasses booth on a college campus. I see these guys all the time. You just gotta pay like 50 bucks for an "outside vendors pass". Girls will be buzzing around you all day.

Gio - great post, summed up my thoughts exactly. I'm early 30s but look mid 20s and plan to keep it that way. Nightgame is not my friend with regards to antiaging.

University campuses is the secret weapon of all daygamers - the holy grail.

Girls in their prime (18-23), doing some sort of degree (I can't talk to hairdressers/waiters/maids, we're just not on the same socioeconomic wavelength), often with a boring beta boyfriend they've had since they were 14 years old (at least here in Spain).

Now as I mentioned before, i'm an analytical motherf***** so I have a breakdown of the gender and age ratios on all the local university courses. Needless to say, I only frequent departments that have a 70:30 ratio in my favour!

For punters like Basil who don't want to be running around all day looking for targets, find a daygame choke point such as come benches at the entrance to a popular mall, as you can then do a Roosh and camp there, waiting for targets to pass you by, at which point you holler out to them and open.

I had this same issue. At first I would just drive from place to place, but I found it to be kind of a waste of time. It takes some trial and error to find the best spots, but as the other guys have already said college campuses are key. This includes other venues located near them(coffee shops, art galleries, etc.)

When I started I did a Roosh like intensive study of my local spots over 3-4 months. I repeatedly went to about 15 coffee shops over that span and took notes. What I found was that there were a few where no matter what evening or day I went cute girls would be there year round. Others I could sit there for 2-3 hours with zero prospects.

If you're in a very large city finding girls probably won't be a problem since you can constantly do street approaches. If not you probably have to do a scouting mission.

A big chunk time for me was the initial set up of finding the best places. Now I can bring a book or my laptop to a coffee shop and I'll know in the next few hours I'll have many opportunities. Then I can walk outside and there will be girls on the street, including more girls at the next coffee shop.

You only read "Getting laid in New York" pdf and watched few of his videos on youtube . Paul Janka is very very good. He has a more "industrial" approach to gaming, playing big numbers, hardly ANY invest in a set...he doesnt even do Dates, has the chicks come right up to his apartment! Thats genius because I hate dates. It only works if you live in a big city with many girls though.
A population of 1-2 million is absolute minimum for that kind of game but it works like a charm. IN a smaller town you will have the place sarged out in notime.

Anyone else interested in direct daygame should check out Simple Pickup. The videos on their YouTube channel are a little jokey (although they still display some fundamentals) but Project Go (their pay service) is solid. You can find all of the Project Go episodes on torrent sites if you don't feel like paying for them.

I don't think Simple Pickup gets enough credit, they are some of the only PUAs releasing tons of infield footage, they keep the jargon to a minimum and make approaching all about having fun.

After an approach has gone at least 10 minutes (take note Mr Janka, his flake rate would be astronomical with his 2 minute closes if he didn't look like an extra from New York fashion week) you should push strongly for an instant date at a coffee shop etc. It reduces your flake percentages enormously and is solid game - of course you don't call it an instant date

Last resort is the number close but make sure you go over 15 minutes if you can and get into some comfort topics.

Direct vs Indirect in Daygame

I could write a book on this topic but here is the summary:

Direct daygame will hurt you unless you look like Janka. Don't do it.

Your default will be indirect-direct "Excuse me, can I just say something, I was just over there having a coffee when I saw you pass - your walk is really really sexy, the way your hips sway...... but I'm not sure about your shoes, whats going on with them?" You are making it clear you are a male sexual being and are interested in her as more than just friends but with the tease on the end and the very light sexualisation she is not 100% sure of your intentions. Game on.

Full indirect "Excuse me, do you know the way to the nearest pet shop?" is daygame training wheels and should be used when you are starting off. Daygame vets will use indirect where the girl does not have an easy escape from the conversation, for example she's sat down in a coffee shop working. In this situation to go direct or indirect-direct would put an enormous amount of social pressure on her and more likely lead to a DOA approach.

Thanks for the review of Paul Janka. What I did notice is about his series videos of approaching girls in Austin, TX is that his number closes are the absolute lowest level of number close. Such as, "I'm new in town, can I have your number in case I get lost". Sometimes Southern girls can be nice and helpful. He has built no attraction between him and the girl when closes the number. As you said he then moves on to film the next successful close.
