I don't know how this works, but I got flaked on Friday night after she texted me "We should meet up." Granted I expect flakiness from any DC lizard with american blood, but I was puzzled since she texted me out of nowhere. After hanging out with friends on U st and having to bounce early for work, I had to walk down a few blocks to get to my car and thought I could stop by the bar that she was at (Standard).

No lizard present, no response, but I managed to make out with a red head at the bar. Any insight?

This is seriously starting to get to me. This week I got 1) I ate something bad yesterday feeling sick, and 2) my sister needs the car tonight so I can't drive. Both did offer to reschedule, but when you are trying to schedule multiple girls a week and devote a night to each one when they flake it really messes things up.

I was at the post office a couple of weeks ago, dutifully mailing my mom a birthday present and my dad a Father's Day card. While waiting in line, I saw an attractive girl either addressing something, making copies, whatever. I didn't want to lose my place in line so I waited until I completed my transaction; she was still working away. I decided on a direct approach and asked her if she had dinner plans. She said no and agreed to a date that night. I told her I'd call her later to confirm.

I wait a few hours, give her a call, banter for about 10 minutes, set a place and time, and head off to work. I immediately get a text back asking me how old I am. I tell my age (27) to which she replies that that (the age) should be ok, before asking me how old I think that she is. Having seen the "2010, State Championships" shirt that she was wearing, I pegged her for 18 or 19 (19 was correct), to which she replied "good eye, I'll see you tonight." About an hour later, I get a text telling me that she is "too busy and that it probably wouldn't work out anyways." For my own ettification, I text back asking why she doesn't think it will work out. Response:"You're a bit out of my age range."

I feel you. The way I number close leads to tons of flakes -- I hand the girl my phone and tell her to give me a missed call. Very few have the figurative balls to say no so they add their number but end up flaking when it comes to making plans.

I'm focusing on building more attraction now and not waiting too long to follow up as I think the girls are just "going cold"

Made plans to meet a chick from work for drinks tonight.

Just got her text "Hey can we postpone till tomorrow? The bank closed and I need to get a new debit card"

I replied "Yeah if you want. I could cover you for tonite though since you're driving here" (I live in South Jersey and she lives outside Philly so it's a good 45 minutes to an hour drive + tolls)

She said she can't just drive around with no money blah blah blah, and I said "sure" for tomorrow.

Pain in my balls, but at least she counter-offered. I'm going to let her reengage tomorrow to set up a time, and if she doesn't, NEXT! Plus I'm hitting a crazy ass bar tonight in Philly where I'll be extra motivated to hook up with Philly's sluttiest.

This is a BS excuse. Have you ever gone to a bank and had them replace a new debit card right there? No, me neither. They can't just make a new card at a bank. You need to call them and they will send you one in the mail. She doesn't have credit cards? Shit is weak.

Sunday - I told this chick we should meet around 4. About two weeks ago I number closed a chick on the street while I was day gaming. I go to a town about 35 minutes away to day game because there are way more girls. We made plans for a few days later and she flaked:

So we met on thursday and had a good time, went to a cafe then a bar and used all of my usual first date material. We went for a walk after the bar and I kissed her. During the date I found that she lived in a town about 30 min away (I set up the date in the town where we met because I thought she lived there) and I live in a town about 35 min away so I was unsure of how to bounce to a place to fuck. She said she had to get going, that she had to work in the morning. So, like a pussy, I said good night and left. I texted her the next day.

Me "hey weirdo what are you doing tonight?"
Girl "Hey I'm visiting a friend what about you??"
Me "i'm at a party at a friend's house...hey can you hang out later this week?"

No response.

I texted her 2 days later.

Me "hey how was your weekend?"

No response.

I guess this doesn't really count as a flake but I am still a bit pissed. I know I should have at least attempted to get to her place but I thought that the make out at the end of a first date was a good sign for a second date where I could figure out favorable logistics. Fuck.
