For a paperback it depends on the price of the book and the amount of pages. Also black/white and full color are different. For me it's nearly 5 bucks.

For kindle it's 70% of the salesprice up to 9.99 and depending of the region of the world it can be 35% too. To me that utter bullshit since the it's an ebook and has barely any costs for Amazon.

Above a salesprice of 9.99 is standard 35%.

Neil, also maybe you should think of an affiliate scheme like the one Roosh made recently. People publicize your book in their sites/blogs and receive a comission for each book sold via their affiliate link.

This is a valuable tidbit. Many don't realize that for both authors and recording artists, the label and distributor take the bulk of the purchase price. Pennies on the dollar go to the actual artist. A bookstore/distributor is better able to market the item more widely, so you're forfeiting part of the sales with the hope that many more people will buy it, and that you'll hopefully make more that way. Having it in a bookstore gives you the chance at capturing the "casual" browser, who may see it, find it interesting and buy it on impulse, whereas it's harder to get the casual shopper if you're only selling it online. For the most part, someone would have to be specifically looking for it, or have to be steered to it somehow.

I'm not a big fan of such systems and get offered to do it every once and a while but maybe i have to look into it for myself.

At least once a month i get a mail from some PUA marketer who wants to put his " fail proof system" on site and offer me a some money per sale.

This. Many sites who don't have a relationship with you will be much more likley to do a review and promote your book to their readers if you offer them 75% commission on ebooks. Of course, you have to offer your book in an ebook format for this to work, which I think is a good idea. Not everyone has a kindle, and not everyone wants a paperback.

Many backpackers traveling around won't even be able to buy your book because they don't have a kindle and they don't have an address to mail it to.

Offering your book in all three formats is a good movie, IMO. Just copy Roosh, he seems to have done well for himself.

I've been reading this book on my Kindle for the past three days, I'm exactly 20 percent through it, I should have it completed by Monday or Tuesday. my honest opinion thus far, kind of interesting, kind of exciting, last week I finnished A Dead Bat, and I really, really liked that book, and I think the main reason I liked that book is because Roosh wrote it in such a genuine, natural manner, I guess what I'm saying, I felt the writting from his heart, for me the best parts of A Dead Bat was the time he spent in Cordoba; time, after time, after time, after time, Roosh went home empty handed and he decsribed the approaches and incidents in very detailed manner, and in such a way that I was actually feeling his pain, I honestly felt his emotions, and I like that type of stimulation and connection with the auther when I read a book, I have not grapsed that genuine feeling with your book yet, I am not saying there are any un-truths, dont get me wrong, it's kind of interesting, its no doubt exciting, I am just saying thus far I cant develop that connection, like i did with A Dead Bat; but regardless, there's no doubt that these are interesting stories, I thought the argument with the girl from New Jersey was a negative, when I am done, I'll prepare a reveiw.

The book covers 40 countries and almost 3 years. It's hard to describe every interaction. If you're reading about the girl from New Jersey then you're reading about South Korea. Those are still my beta stories. The good stuff and a lot of fucked up stories will start soon and some real struggling too.
