Intelligence is a genetic trait. Just the way it is. Always has been and always will be. Jews are a very good example of this, where intelligence was highly valued by women. They clock average IQ's of over 110 now, which is just 10 points short of extreme intelligence. Thats their average! All based on years and years of pre selection for intelligence, to the point where genetic diseases have developed as a result of all the interbreeding

The result though is a small population of people who dominate business, the sciences, politics, you name it. No matter where they go, they will thrive. Nutjobs then blame Jewish conspiracies, when all it really is is highly intelligent people doing well for themselves and rising to the top.

You can educate someone, but you cannot make them smarter. So you can help make them more functional, but thats as far as its going to go. They wont break new ground or think any differently from the way they were taught. A lot of people in academia for example classify themselves as intelligent, when they are very often dimwits with a penchant for study and repetition. Its not the same thing. A guy heading up a street gang is probably smarter than half the guys in a university. Education often has more to do with opportunity than anything else.

As for the Japanese? They have created little and are not really responsible for any of the technological advancements we have seen over the last 30 years. They have contributed, make no mistake, but they have made few breakthroughs with anything. They are the worlds greatest reverse engineers, and their cultural approach to business is almost unmatched IMO, but they never had the technical creativity Europeans did. It has not been their time yet, and its why they have stalled.

When it comes to systems of interpersonal trade and management though? They make everyone else look stupid.

Germans are not stupid people. They are highly intelligent, which when combined with a culture which demands perfection and diligence has seen them give the world more than most other nations in the last 80 odd years. To call them dumb fucks I find rather ignorant and insulting, not to mention pretty fucking retarded.

Most slavs are intelligent people, but culture plays a role in how it will be displayed. Educated Russians and EE's are a different story to small town village folk. Russia gives us an excellent example of intelligence too. Most of the successful business people there are street smart, not educated only, and many would be running street gangs if not sitting in boardrooms.

This is basically what I said, you can train your brain to some minor degree, but you cant turn a dumb person into a smart one, just into an educated dumb person.

I am German, I know about my countries contributions to mankind: automobiles, X-rays, penincelline, aspirin...the list goes on. What I meant in my statement is that we are not a nation of geniusses. We got our share of dumbfucks and retards, too, just like you guys in the US or Australia.
It is true though, that the German culture promotes education, dilligence, hard work and other virtues more than, for example, the Spanish one.

On a more serious note, I overreacted a bit, I just think that Germans in general have contributed immensely even though they seem to be an easy target for unjustified bashing sometimes. I was not aware that your stance was as a German yourself, which changes the tone of your perspective slightly.

Intelligence in my opinion matters a lot and is genetically inherited.I can sense immediately the levels of intelligence of a certain person or the average among a nation and Germany struck to me as a place of very intelligent people.With intelligence I mean academic intelligence not social intelligence.Germans,Dutch are very intelligent it screams out.Danish,Swedish,Norwegians are a bit less intelligent than Germans on the same level with English.Slavs are less intelligent than Germanics and the worst are the Balkan folks.This is a serious hindrance for the development of the region.
Especially among Bulgarians,Serbs,Albanians,Romanians I have observed a certain brain activity missing sth like a broken link which gives the impression of a loose screw or stuck up inflexible attitude.Turks can display the same.You do not see it among western or eastern Slavs and of course not in case of Germanics.For example if you notice the best English is spoken by Germanic and Scandinavian folks.There is a reason for that.There are thousands of things which point to the same direction.
However what matters is the attitude of women towards intelligence whether they can put up with a less intelligent guy or not.Polish women certainly can put up.This is surprising because you see not only ugly,short,old or bald guys with hot polish girls but guys can be dumb as well.Polish women excuse everything if there is passion from the side of man and good sexual performance.Maybe I will analyze it in another topic.

Germanic women do not forgive low intelligence,maybe they can forgive inadequate education.In Germanic societies only mix with Mediteraneans of higher educational,intelligence,appearance status is accepted.Mix of dumb Germanic women with smart Mediteranean men is accepted.The opposite is not accepted the girl will face serious problems by society whether in Germany,Netherlands,Austria etc.
This is sth that matters in pick up you always have to prove your level of intelligence to Germanic and Anglosaxon women to be accepte d by them.(that you belong to the higher class of your local environment if you are Mediteranean).

That's quite silly.

Australia has a record of being quite innovative in engineering.

They just make appalling managers, and being resource rich they tend to be very complacent. But when pushed they do tend to do a lot with little resources. They are also the world's worst venture capitalists.

The two most recent global contributions have been;

UQ contribution to hypersonics (Mach 5+)

NASA, inheriting all the Werner von Braun stuff you previously mentioned, had spent the better of 3 decades and $2+ billion of research and went nowhere.

UQ had one researcher, 2 PhD students and a budget of $150k and propelled Australia to worlds best practice.

Uni SA's contribution to UAV tech. Europe, the U.S and Japan kept trying to push this via robotics. A biologist from S.A. headed down the path of sonar, after studying mosquitos and bats. Australia lead a monumental breakthrough, pretty much bought lock stock and barrel by the U.S however.

Woomera in the S.A desert has been the worlds centre for UAV tech for nearly 20 years now.

We also lead in UUV tech, with our biologists researching dolphins.

I can point to what was once a very high proportion in software coding, not too good now. We were once the world's leading hackers, in 1991 the W.A.N.K(World against nuclear killers) group penetrated NASA when it was thought impossible.

The biological quality of a certain tribe varies over time. Germans have reasons to be proud of their past achievements, but the Germany of 2012 is of lower quality than the Germany of 1912. WWI and WWII killed many, many young men, and the welfare state and lack of wars leads to the overbreeding of Germany's white-trash. Overall, the past 100 years have been quite dysgenic to Germany. Sure, they have great technology companies, but they're all older than a century, and given the high-intensity of Chinese industrial espionage efforts, there's no reason to think that German companies will still be at the top in 2112. Success always brings complacency, and complacency always brings decay. Germans seem to be more arrogant than paranoid, which means that they're in trouble. And German universities, once the best in the world, are no longer what they were (same with American and Russian universities, actually).

In the context of my point to Moma, it was relevant. If anything, I rubbished hateful claims against the poor bastards saying their intelligence was one of the reasons for their success. Jews have the highest average IQ's in the world. Historically its for pre selection based on intelligence. I really would like to see evidence that one people is more intelligent than another.

I don't believe that there are huge discrepancies between races or people that would make a difference in real life.

Jews e.g. achieved what they achieved first and foremost due to their culture. Jewish culture values education above anything else. Family ties are very strong, most Jews in the past were also much more liberal and flexible than their environment and thus open to new ideas and ways as the Jewish relgion has never been as opressive as the Christian or Muslim religion, which both preferred to keep its followers dumb.

There are many factors adding to each other...but I certainly believe genes did not play a role here. Jews are not as homogenous a society as they would like to believe, anyway. In the 2000 years they lived in Europe, there was always a mixing with local population going on to some extent.

Harry, I don't have the hard stats to show you but I don't know if I can say that a certain race has a high level of intelligence. Before that occurs, one has be able to classify EXACTLY what intelligence is.

Intelligence manifests in different forms and passing a Maths exam doesn't really constitute as intelligent to me. A lot of it is to do also with guidance and learned behaviour, a hustler's mentality really.

In my views, I honestly see the one who is able to control people as truly intelligent. The one that understands emotions and how to pique them or subdue them to his/her will stands out greatly in my book.

I mean, you have some so called geniuses out there who get duped REPEATEDLY by some lizard with a hot piece of ass. And on the other hand, you have class dropouts, who couldn't spell Xerox if you spotted them the two X's who are able to manipulate people (conduct business transactions that are favourable for them) and pimp lizards to con money from the big wigs.

The point I am really making is that social intelligence is often overlooked and there seems to be a huge leaning towards academic brilliance as the ultimate marker of intelligence.

Also the cultures that value education tend to push out intelligent people, non? You claim the Jews as naturally intelligent yet they seem to be very much into education etc (correct me if wrong).

Harry's comments on Jews are spot on. After working in a field that is predominantly Jewish I have a new respect for their intelligence. I've realized the reason they are constantly kicked out of countries is because they use their intelligence and work ethic to take everything over, to the point that they ultimately wear out their welcome. They are hated because the are smarter then most other people and use this to gain control and power.
