They may have recently purchased a company specializing in facial recognition, but if I remember correctly, they've been using such software for a couple of years.

True. But there's also an option to disable any face recognition for your photos or any you are tagged in.

Privacy Settings -> Timeline and Tagging -> "Who sees tag suggestions when photos that look like you are uploaded?" = No One ; of course that doesn't mean Facebook doesn't know its you.

Thanks, I already had it disabled. I'm confused on what my settings should be set to. I want to get rid of all the unnecessary shit and still be allowed to Like something from the internet so it shows up on my page.
