Anyone ever bother to do this? When you buy, you fill out a form, then get the VAT refunded?

Just checking how long it takes, etc. I know it varies by country, just wondering (I'm going to italy next week and might buy some shoes, clothes and cologne).

Do it. Especially if you are getting things +100 euro.

I did this when I was in London. It takes a minute or two to fill out and simply take the forms to the customs/vat office at the airport and show them your ticket (out of eurozone) and get your refund.
