It is mostly Latino. I've stayed there for a bit and I felt like speaking only Spanish as opposed to speaking only English was far more useful.
Usually, it's always good to be of the majority in a place. I saw Latinos doing quite well. You lose the novelty factor if you are Latino but I'm sure there is something to say for familiarity factor.

Miami can be a lot of fun if you stay away from the tourist spots and bottle service night club bullshit, but if you're only coming here for a dew days it's going to be harder to pull off because the first places you're going to find are usually the tourist spots.

The posts about checking out Brickell, Kendall, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, etc. are giving you guys some good advice for how to go out in Miami and avoid the bullshit. If you just get a hotel on the beach for a weekend you're probably going to miss out on all that.

If I took a cab everywhere I went during a day it would cost me about 200 dollars and this place is cheaper. You're shooting yourself in the foot there. Last night I was in Checkers parking lot and some girls just walked up and started talking to me. I drove there. this shit happens all the time. If you have to plan your rolls around a cab and cant loiter when you feel like your bangs will be cut down %75. This is Florida. People are outside all over and you have to have access to them. If you can access them by water it's even better. You want to go to the Hardrock on Sunday? Call a cab? Take one home? Meet a girl there that want's to go with you to a couple places? That's 200 dollars.
