Have some dignity, dude. If you want to talk about something Trump-related there are plenty of other sources to post beyond that shirtless, bicep-less freak.
Wow you'd neutral rep me?
TERRIFYING. I am literally shaking at how scared I am of you possibly neutral repping me for sharing a video I don't like.

That doesn't diminish the value of advanced weaponry.
To a point. A lot of America's "advanced weaponry" was useless in the current conflicts and they know it. One example is that the Americans started reacting to heat-sensitive IEDs by putting these fancy decoys with IR LED's that hang in front of the vehicle. They cost thousands of dollars each.
The Iraqis adjusted within a matter of days by just angling the IED's slightly back so that they'd hit 15 feet or so behind whatever set the device off. It cost them zero dollars to counter this solution we'd implemented with some ungodly price tag attached.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
US transfers funds meant for Pakistan for building Mexico border wall
Quote:WASHINGTON: The United States is transferring $1.5 billion meant for Afghanistan and Pakistan to a fund to build the Mexican border wall, says acting Defence Secretary Patrick Shanahan.
The funds have been reprogrammed despite an increase in attacks inside Afghanistan and a complaint by the US chief negotiator that peace talks with the Taliban are not moving at a sufficient pace.
“We reprogrammed $1.5 billion towards the construction of more than 120 miles of border barrier without impacting readiness,” Mr Shanahan said in a statement released late Friday.
More than $600 million of these funds come from an Afghan security forces account while an unspecified amount was taken from the funds previously meant for Pakistan.
“The funds were culled from a variety of sources, to include unexecuted prior year funds, the suspension of reimbursements to Pakistan, and costs reductions in a series of contracts,” Secretary Shanahan said.
The Pentagon announced that the reprogrammed money will be used to build more than 120 miles of barriers along the US-Mexico border.
Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, who heads the US team negotiating a peace deal with the Taliban, said on Friday that the peace talks were not only moving at a slow place but had also failed to halt increasing attacks on civilian and military targets.
“We made steady but slow progress on aspects of the framework for ending the Afghan war. We are getting into the nitty gritty. The devil is always in the details,” he wrote in a tweet.
“However, the current pace of talks isn’t sufficient when so much conflict rages and innocent people die. We need more and faster progress. Our proposal for all sides to reduce violence also remains on the table,” he added.
US and Taliban representatives have held six rounds of direct talks since October in Doha, Qatar, to end the 18-year war in Afghanistan. The latest round of negotiations with the Taliban ended on Thursday.
The Afghan government, however, is not involved in the talks as the Taliban refused to sit with Kabul, after calling it a US “puppet”. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, however, has called the current round of talks “positive”, adding that “progress” was made on some points but others were “yet to be finalised”.
The talks have, so far, focused on two key points: the full withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan and ensuring that Afghanistan is not used as a base to harm other countries.
Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, the head of the Taliban’s political office in Doha, and Mullah Baradar, a co-founder of the militant group, were leading the Taliban team in the talks.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
120,000 troops ??!!!!!! No wayyyyyyyyy
With the developments of the last couple of weeks, one wonders if this is now a case of WHEN rather than IF.
Quote:Donald Trump has reportedly been presented with a plan to send as many as 120,000 troops to the Middle East to counter the so-called Iranian threat, the New York Times reported.
Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan disclosed the updated military plan at a meeting of Trump's top security aides on Thursday, the publication said, quoting anonymous sources inside the administration.
Several options to tackle Tehran in the region were outlined to the president during the briefing, while "the uppermost option called for deploying 120,000 troops, which would take weeks or months to complete," the Times said.
While the revisions "ordered" by "hard-liners" do not promulgate a land invasion of Iran, "the development reflects the influence of Mr. Bolton, one of the administration’s most virulent Iran hawks,” The Times reported. Bolton has been a long-time advocate of using military force against Tehran, even penning an op-ed in 2015 titled “Top Stop Iran’s Bomb, Bomb Iran.”
The proposal to send additional reinforcements comes amid accusations from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that Tehran has been engaging in “an escalating series of threatening actions and statements in recent weeks.” To counter the unspecified threat, the Pentagon has already deployed the USS ‘Abraham Lincoln’ carrier strike group and bomber task force, including B-52s, to the region.
The deployment came exactly a year after Washington unilaterally withdrew from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), and renewed sanctions against the Islamic Republic’s financial, oil and banking sectors. The US has also labeled Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps a “terrorist organization,” triggering a tit-for-tat response from Tehran.
Meanwhile, Iran said it will cancel part of its obligations under the nuclear agreement, and urged the European signatories to tackle Washington's pressure.
The US sabre rattling is "attempting to magnify the shadow of war," Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi explained on Sunday night, noting that American military buildup in the region is "theatrical and useless."

RE: The Donald Trump thread
Looks like the whole Iran shitshow is going to happen.
-First it was saber rattling like usual
-Then "credible threats" from who knows where
-Deployment of more navy groups
-Bombers being moved into the theater,
-Then "sabotage" of ships local to the region
-Now he wants to deploy troops?
Fuck that, we do not need another middle east shit show on behalf of Israel & Saudis.

No, I think that people who actively try and force these things to happen are bound to cause catastrophic damage to a significant amount of people. I'd rather that not happen. If prophecies are to happen, it will be by divine power, not human intervention.

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

I find it hard to believe that a random commoner in Tel Aviv spends their time thinking how wonderful it would be to invade another country and become even more hated around the world. Or do they simply not care since it's USA who does the dirty work for them?
No, I don't think the average person in Tel Aviv wants war with Iran. But AIPAC has been pushing for this war for decades now, and one way or another they'll get it. Israel will get to sit on the sidelines while America does all the dirty work.
So while the average Israeli probably doesn't want war with Iran, they won't be the ones to send their loved ones to die, which means the Jewish Lobby (AKA AIPAC) will get zero push back from the regular everyday Israeli because they're probably unaware of just how extensive AIPAC's power is in American politics. Much like the average American is oblivious to it too.
EDIT: It's worth noting that the Saudi's have been clamoring for this war too. I know AIPAC and Israel are mentioned often, but the Saudi's are absolutely in bed with the Israeli's on this one. If and when America goes to war with Iran, Americans will by dying for both the Israeli's and the Saudi's, while not a drop of Israeli or Saudi blood will be lost.
