I always pay on the first date since it's always cheap or no cost.

I don't expect anything in return it just makes paying simpler and it helps me stay as the one leading the interaction.

I'm not a fan of splitting in general, I prefer paying everything and then they usually treat me once in a while.

I think its only northern Europe where the norm is to go halves.

I would say if you are younger than say 26 you can split every once in a while. If you are older forget about splitting.

Most girls I have been on dates always do the taking the wallet move before I pay. But they don't really insist on paying so I'm assuming it is just for show. Keep in mind that I'm talking about $30 max. I never wine and dine them or anything expensive unless we are dating seriously.

My last gf offered to pay about 40% of the time we went out. I let her get the check around 1 out of 4 times because I knew I was better off financially than her.

^youre actually kinda right. For guys nowadays all you need to do is chill with a girl and sex is pretty much guaranteed. The values of women have plummeted. I never do that unless the girl offers.

There are more women than men in college now and they have all kinds of gender specific preferences in admissions and when applying for jobs.
