Go ahead and start charging for personal training for movie stars and bodybuilding since your such a know it all that you dont even bother reading peoples posts before you sperg out. I'm sure if all the Hollywood trainers simply consulted you, they would be so much wiser given your vast experience in this realm.

If you thought there was something I didn't understand in regards to your post where you seemed to claim that Brad Pitt's old physique wasn't much achievable for the average guy I think you could have explained why instead.

There's no need to get angry and start with personal attacks because people don't agree with you.

Nobody is angry, it's just laughable that you think you can call someone wrong when you clearly dont even understand what your replying to. My reply is already in plain english, I dont know maybe look up some of the words in the dictionary if you still dont get it.

I would hope in real life you dont just have a knee jerk reaction of calling people wrong and then rambling on demonstrating you werent listening to them in the first place. That would be incredibly annoying.

Ok. Then I must just have interpreted your post wrong since you actually wrote about an article where Brad talked about the ridiculous lengths he had to go to get that physique. Anyway, I think that physique is not a big deal to achieve even for the average guy. I apologize though if you were talking about something completely different.

Beckham is 165llbs, that is 30llbs lighter than me. His physique is not attractive to me, no chest and no visible abs. Keep in mind that pic is photoshopped and airbrushed.

Rinaldo and Pitt have juiced to achieve that look, so again bringing celebrities into this conversation is pointless.

Achieving the Beckham look would require not eating and taking up cross country running.

Fortis nailed it with his comment.

Is/has Ronaldo used PED's? Isn't FIFA pretty strict with the testing?

Girls don't love Beckham for his body, they like his face and that he was at one time one of the most famous players and made bank. Girls go crazy over Neymar but if he was Joe Schmo walking down the street he wouldn't get much attention.

In my opinion there is never a diminishing point of return because the bigger you get, the less guys there are with a similar body. Most girls wouldn't be into Ronnie Coleman BUT if he walked into a club or anywhere outside of a bodybuilding competition there wouldn't be a single guy like him, so if for example 10-20% of girls are attracted to monsters like him they would all be fighting over him.

"Girls really like David Beckham, Brad Pitt and Ronaldo...that must be the idea type of body to attract women!"

*Ignores the fact that these are all world-famous multi-millionaires at the pinnacle of their profession who also have 10/10 facial genetics*

This should be renamed "Male Hamster: The Thread".

"That guy looks too physically dominant for me, I'd prefer a more soy-infused male to have sex with" - No woman ever

Scorpion, you're wrong. Girls like guys who aren't so tough looking; girls don't like guys who scare or command respect from other guys.

RE: Is There A Point Of Diminishing Returns On Weightlifting And Attracting Girls?
It’s simple guys to me atleast. Just look at the type of guys girls typically go after. You know the love interest in movies, the covers of romance novels, the guys who get all the thirsty comments. Not like you have to look hard, it’s blatant at book stores and thirsty comments get exposed all the time on IG.

From what I see these girls usually like guys anywhere from Adam Levine to Chris hemsworth with some girls loving guys with a similar physique as the Rock.

The bigger question is what defines sex appeal. Why some guys with fame can be seen as attractive with a nice physique but some unattractive with the same fame and same physique

Seriously... Do people still think top of the game athletes aren't using PEDs? Ronaldo has so much money he is probably using something that isn't banned yet but will be in 5 years. The top level guys are ahead of the game. The only ones that get caught are the ones that are either dumb and/or can't afford the better gear.

Yea if people don't think superstar athletes aren't on PEDs I don't know what to say.

They hire doctors to ensure they pass the tests

Does a woman become progressively more attractive the bigger and bigger her fake tits or ass becomes? It's pretty clear from the research and life experience that attraction is a combination of hard wired and socialized preferences. It's possible for either a man or woman to get an unnatural look from surgery or steroids. I agree the overwhelming majority of guys error on the out of shape end of the spectrum, but the question is about diminishing returns and there are is clearly a point where you're not going to get that much more bang for your steroid buck. It's obviously rare, but once you get to cartoonish proportions it's going to be less optimal than being reasonable levels of jacked.

Socialized preferences is a big factor. Studies show a reasonable amount of variance in preference for body types depending on the culture. Just because the guy with massive biceps gets noticeably more attention from a niche of women doesn't mean he has attained optimal attractiveness to the average woman. I agree most guys don't get anywhere near the point of diminishing returns, but it's clear that there is a point of excessive meatheadeness that will vary quite a bit depending on the specific person and culture.

Exactly Realologist - these athletes use top level stuff that us peons have no idea about or access to.

The Balco scandal was uncovered by a whistleblower, the drug they were using was undetectable.

I have no hate towards Ronaldo, I'm actually a fan.

As was stated before, the athletes mentioned are very easy on the eyes.

Again, I'm talking regular guys.

Just put in the work and you will notice the difference.

Certainly some truth to that, but being "tough looking" is about a lot more than muscle mass.

My point is basically that if you're natty and keep your body fat under 15%, you will never be penalized by women for being "too muscular". It's not really possible to repulse women with excessive musculature until you start getting serious into gear. When you have the sort of body that is obviously a product of steroids some women will be turned off by that, we know this is true (we also know it's true that a minority of women will be really turned ON by the same body though). But if you're just a regular guy trying to maximize your luck with women, the idea that you shouldn't lift because "muscles don't matter and sometimes even work against you" is absolute nonsense that should be called out.

Look at the physiques below. While it's true that some women would favor the physique in the middle over the physique on the bottom, the idea that they would ever favor the middle physique over the first physique is completely asinine. That's simply not how the female brain is wired. All else being equal, a healthy, muscular, natural body will never hurt and only help you with women. A dude who slays despite not lifting will slay even harder if he does. Maybe he doesn't want to put in the effort to lift because he doesn't need to, but that doesn't mean he can claim that building a nice physique is therefore useless for attracting women. Lifting and being in shape is nothing but an asset in game and life in general, and is something that every man who's serious about maximizing his outcomes in life should be dialed in on.

RE: Is There A Point Of Diminishing Returns On Weightlifting And Attracting Girls?
I previously cited a couple of studies where they had a reasonable sample size of women telling the researchers what they found most attractive. The two take aways were 12% body fat and roughly a 25 BMI, with certain proportions.

For reference, Scott Adkins (who for some reason I have been watching a lot of his action movies lately) is average height (5'10"), 176, and 10% body fat, and hits the right numbers for arms, chest and waist.

So he has, on the balance of opinion of a number of women, an "ideal" body. Still, opinions vary. In my experience, younger girls tend to like smaller, cut up guys, while the older ones prefer beefier guys. Brad Pitt was something like 6%BF and 21 BMI. OTOH, Gerard Butler, who is 6'2" was only 200 pounds 9BMI 26) for his role in "300".

There are two things about diminishing returns in getting much bigger than 25 BMI or more cut than 12%BF. First is that it will turn girls off. Yes, you will attract more attention as well as interest from fitness freaks and bodybuilding fans, but in terms of more typical women the peak will be that 25/12% point.

Secondly is the simple fact that maintaining more muscle and a lower body fat one a day-to-day basis takes more work in terms of training and food discipline. So, even if you could successfully argue that an extra 10 pounds of lean muscle will give you better success with women, you have to consider the opportunity cost in terms of what else you could spend your time and energy on.

Again with the studies and famous people!

What has been your experience?

My experience is that it helped me in so many ways, I fail to see the negative effect.

I would never get to the point of diminishing returns because I don't want to use gear and be on a strict diet. I'm happy at age 50 being able to do more pull-ups than most people and having a four pack.

Scorpion, I was joking, brother. I was making fun of all the game denialists in this thread lol

A dude who commands respect and fear from other men is gonna pull more bitches than harmless bitch-made dudes. just a fact.

Your post 100% nailed my opinion.

If any of you guys think top level athletes are natty, I got a bridge in Florida to sell you...

Scorpio 666, In what universe is it bad that you attract MORE attention from fitness freaks? Normal chicks are fucking lame! What is a normal chick anyway? A 7-10 chick is spending time in the gym at some point or she isn't gonna stay a 6-10 long.

lol you guys think girls aren't even more obsessive over healthcare and skincare than men are? You crack me up.

Top guy would win every day of the week.

That middle guy is alright though. When you consider 70 percent of men are overweight he is already top 30 percent.

Do people really hold Brad Pitt's body as the ideal? I feel like most high school athletes are built better than that. lol

That's a pretty low goal. I feel 1.5 months into a naturally skin dude's first cycle he blows that physique out of the water. I also think that's achievable naturally but I'm not gonna get into that war.

I'm kinda sorry I mentioned Pitt because it seems to have restarted the great Fitness War of 1999.

After Fight Club came out, millions of women across the world were tickling their clits to Pitt's physique. Meanwhile, real fitness dudes were shouting "yo he's weak that's just diet I can crush him in a ring blah blah blah".

True, but who cares. Women wanted Pitt -- his face and his physique. That would be true if he weren't famous too. Maybe they wouldn't want him for more than one night, maybe he's not good in bed, but that particular look -- model face, extremely low body fat, small muscles -- caused massive attraction.

FWIW I lost some muscle mass this winter b/c I was travelling. My main girl looked at me when I got home and said, "You look better." It shouldn't have surprised me, but it still did.

EVERY PRO ATHLETE USES PEDS.

Their leagues know it, too, and purposely craft the testing policies so they never catch anyone. Once a season, they burn some minor player to give the appearance of serious testing.

Since Lance Armstrong got burned, every major sport realizes that exposing the amount of PED use would be horrible for their image, so they simply make it impossible to get caught. The only exception appears to be the UFC, which currently has an anti-doping program run by the guy who brought down Armstrong.

I agree wholeheartedly. There are tons of NFL players using HGH, tons. Primary reason you can't really test for it.

I'll go a step further and say damn near every serious football program has a number of athletes using PEDS. There are 20 year old kids playing linebacker at various DI programs that 6'0 tall 225lbs 10-12% bodyfat and you mean to tell me they aren't on PEDs.

Don't think they do PEDs in college? I'd like to introduce exhibit A.

DK Metcalf from Mississippi State.
