Cs and Ds would be basic hunting rifles, require no permit but must be registered. Ds I would guess include antiques. B would be guns, including collectors items. A's are military-grade high powered assault rifles, they're illegal for civilians.

There are about 10 million firearms in France. The GJ segment is among the most heavily armed, hunting being traditionally popular in rural France, and also because in the countryside rifles are family heirlooms that get passed from father/grandfather to son.

I'm going to break my break on this particular issue since gun confiscation is a topic that I have concerns about and have crunched numbers on routinely.

As such I very much doubt that this order is real simply because it's utterly infeasible. Say what you want about Macron but his globalist overlords are surely not this stupid. If this order is legitimate then buckle in, folks, because the big-brains are well aware that it will escalate the situation, not defuse it, and if that's what they want then we are in for some wild times in 2019.
