I totally get what you're saying. I'm 90% of the time very quick on the trigger in getting them out (asking for a number after 3-4 messages), but occasionally if I think the girl has high SMV - this particular one was a hard 7, seemed educated, and 15 years younger - I stall and run some comfort for a while before seeming too eager.

But yeah, this is a time sink.

What the fuck are girls doing voluntarily on a dating app and voluntarily messaging guys first if they have zero interest in leaving the house to meet anybody? Is it always all about validation and seeing what their SMV can potentially hook?

Thanks but I was just venting. I have ordinarily no problem getting girls out on dates (have had 8 dates in 6 days in Warsaw so far, all from Tinder). My text game is pretty decent. It's just the experience I seem to have with Bumble this week.

I don't think I'm doing anything wrong necessarily, but have just run into silly timewaters.

I'm terrible at sniffing out DTF girls. Those I try to go ZDB on balk at the idea. It never works. I have a ton of dates to nowhere. I'm averaging 2 lays per 10 dates.

My game needs to be improved in this dept.

Okay, I'm wading back in to bumble land after a mini-LTR from bumble ended about a month back.
I've got a great job so SMV has increased. I need to remember to focus on the quality I deserve.

Surprised to see they now ask you to enter your height (lol!) plus a number of other personal attributes such as education level, drinking, smoking and zodiac sign.

Might as well put waist circumference, weight and annual income on there in the next update hahaha.

Can someone explain to me how at any given time I have 20+ matches and yet somehow run out of people to swipe on? When I modify the search parameters the amount changes, so I can't for the life of my figure out how this could be. Are they lying about the number?

There is definitely some prefiltering going on with the deck. You are never shown the entire deck before it says there aren't anymore. You're shown a sampling that is reshuffled each time it resets and shows you a new batch.

Bumble is slightly better than Tinder in terms of quality, it seems.

In the medium sized city I am in -- its all White American women with crazy eyes but better quality pics and profile compared to Tinder.

I do decently well on Bumble (15-20 matches a day - - - half are 6's and below, the other half are 7's and 7.5's).

The changed that I made to my profile to get more matches was exaggerating my height (I'm 5'10'' but put 6 feet), putting pictures of me where I looked tall and jacked and where my skin looked lighter than it really is (I'm Indian-American and am light-brown skin tone), and made my profile really full of bullet points of interesting shit I've done in the past (traveled to south america, can dance salsa, risk taker, etc)

I will admit though that none of my matches are the really hot NYC women. None of my friends match with them either. I wonder who is matching and banging the 8's and above on these online dating sites

The results on both tinder and bumble have been horrible for me, despite only being on both around 2-3 weeks.

I only swipe right/ match with girls I'm attracted to, rather than matching with all girls. Thus, I have gotten something like 3 matches on tinder, and another 3 on Bumble.

Of those 6 matches, 2 on Bumble (1 on tinder), allowed me to continue the conversation via text. One no show on a tinder date. And two solid bumble leads that will go on a date after the holidays, although they could flake. But one of my bumble leads I think she's good for a date.

I have to say I am above average height (by good margin) so that's listed, college education, and i put on my profile that I'm well traveled, and I have quite a few stories that should spark interest. I also am a musician, can cook, and some other similar things in that vein. If I had to guess, my photos are not "girl-level" Instagram quality, but I don't really know how to remedy that.

Hate to break it to you, but college education doesn't matter. Well-traveled doesn't matter. Stories don't matter. Being a musician doesn't matter, being able to cook doesn't matter.

The only thing that matters to girls in 2018 (now 2019) is having an attractive image that conveys all of these things, VISUALLY.
