Neanderthals were indeed 'super' humans - both stronger and smarter. If alive today, they would be excelling in both sports and the corporate world.

In addition, it discusses the latest findings which claim that Europeans did not come from Africa.

They also pronounced Neanderthals differently than I had been, with a hard 't' sound - Neander-TALL.

I'd estimate less than 10% of ethnic Northern Europeans/Anglos have any type of special, civilization genetic, at best. And probably less than 5% of Southern/Eastern Europeans

The other 90-95 percent are the same as the rest of the global population, individual IQ differences notwithstanding

Non whites have their civilization building genius', but they tend to go to white countries to work, rather than build their own nations.

Neanderthals are indeed the 2%-4% of the genes of most humans apart Sub-Saharan Africans. That can be superficially used in an argument claiming that Neanderthal genes gave some kind of advantage to those who have it against those who don't but things are not as clear. For starters, genetically the most...well...ackward race is that of the Papuans and the Australian Aboriginals and these not only have Neanderthal genes but also they have Denisovan genes - with Denisovans being very possibly an offshoot of Neanderthals. So how did that addition give them "superiority"? See... things are more complicated and less straightforward. Both Europeans and East Asians have Neanderthal genes but they have very different genetics with only convergence between Scandinavia-Baltics-northern Russia and Mongolia/Northern China. A Portuguese and a Japanese are day and night different no matter if they share a Neanderthal gene. A Portuguese, a Japanese, an Australian Aboriginal and an Apachi American native, they all have Neanderthal genese in them. 2% to 4%. Are they the same? No. Did it produce any visible results for them? No, we are talking about the extremes here with Aboriginals being, at least technologically speaking, the most regressive tribes of all humanity. Thus it is difficult to establish a direct connection.

On the other hand, the old idea of dumb Neanderthals is just not true as newest research proves they were more or less on a par with Sapiens and were only limited by their smaller numbers living in smaller hunting, less gathering, communities in the northern colder climates of the Ice Age.

Yet what is compelling here and most of you, "of-European-descent' people should remember is that the idea of smarter races being any-how located in central-northern Europe is an extremely recent one. In fact for much of human history northern Europeans were considered by the southern Europeans (i.e. the Greeks and the Roman-copy-cats-of-Greeks) as savages. In fact they viewed them as more inferior than post-Renaissance Europeans saw African tribes. Western Europeans considered Africans as decent slaves, Romans considered Northern Europeans as too dumb to even be slaves (beware : they were not unsuitable because they were rebelious or whatever, they were unsuitable for being just too dumb to learn anything about civilization).

Watch out, this is not Europe-bashing but European people need to review this with a clear head. Western European superiory is, historically speaking, a very recent thing. In fact for most of human history Western and Northern Europeans were game for South Europeans and Mongoloid Asiatics. Mongol raids were numerous and ALWAYS successful : the Germanics were not able to fend off even once! It took a slight-hybrid (ggghhhmmm.....) , the Slavs to fend off the Mongols outside Europe. Mongols had reached up to France and even today there is still a small slight hybrid population in France. Baltics are the remnant of those numerous raids and even Scandinavians and continental Germanics bear signs of slight hybridization. The only European population that has no Mongoloid features are the Mediterraneans, ironically including the Greeks no matter if they were conquered by Ottomans (there was no two-way mixing, that is why). Northern Europeans kept losing to the Southern Europeans and even in the Middle Ages they were only capable of raids against unprotected areas of decadent-after-centuries-of-civilization places, but still even those decadent southerners were kicking them out straight on in battles. The so-called Byzantines were 9 times out of 10 kicking their asses when catching them in battles. There was no absolutely no superiority of northern Eurpoeans and till the end of the Middle Ages the "blond hair" was a sign of what was considered an inferior human being as much as later on Western/Northern Europeans would consider black-frizzy hair of Africans as a sign of inferiority. Even as late as in the 1400s when one of the last Eastern Roman Emperors Manuel Palaeologos, visited Britain (which by the way was one of the most progressive states of its time in northern Europe), he lamented the decadence and decay of Greeks losing their Empire and having fallen so lowly as to pleade those uncivilized intellectually inferior people for help. This is not in 1400 BC but ni 1400 AD. A mere 600 years ago. 200 years after Manuel the British would be in Africa purchasing "inferior Africans" as slaves.

So we need to relativize. What did it for northern Europeans was not their Neanderthal genes, otherwise it would had done it centuries and millenia ago. What it did for them was the shift of global oligarchy balance which drove Mediterranean oligarchies first to move from Constantinople to Venice and then from Venice up to Holland and Britain. Without that shift, Europe would remain for long, most possibly permanently as the corner of the Eurasian continent.

Whatever the findings, I know I have more Neanderthal DNA in me than 76% of 23andme customers.

I have 1 Neanderthal variant that is associated with less back hair lol

And two Neanderthal variants associated with height (I'm 5'8)

I know that this DNA is from more my mother's side (Balkin, Hungarian, and Mediterranean). I found these results interesting. Anyone else have 23andme Neanderthal data to share?

People forget that ancient Egypt (which was not a European civilization, as a basic look at Egyptian art would show you), ancient Mesopotamia, ancient India, and ancient China all had civilization for thousands of years while most of Europe was a wilderness. To be fair the Greeks were civilized since 2000 B.C.E as well (the Minoan civilization), but everything else was essentially tribal and barbaric.

People also forget that African Muslims ruled all of modern-day Spain and Portugal for over three hundred years -- longer than the U.S has existed. They maintained a presence there for four hundred years longer. The Muslim Turks colonized almost all of Eastern Europe for four centuries. The Mongol Golden Horde also ruled Russia, Ukraine, Poland (northeastern Europe) for a period of hundreds of years. Eastern Europe especially was essentially under foreign non-European domination for a very long time.

Even after 1492, China and India were each 25% of world GDP and the Turks and Persians were still a force to be reckoned with. Legitimate European domination lasted from about 1800 to now and is in the process of breaking down.

The guys saying that white dominance comes from genetic superiority would have a point if white Europeans had created, led and dominated other civilizations from the beginning. Problem is, writing, irrigation, city building, gunpowder, the compass, the wheel, iron working, bronze working, mathematics, and other foundational inventions were not invented by Europeans, which essentially proves this argument to be wishful bullshit. I have a hard time believing that genetically superior people in Iberia would get ruled by black and brown Muslims for hundreds of years and genetically superior people in Eastern Europe would get raped and enslaved by Muslims and Mongols, also for hundreds of years.

Reality is that different groups are powerful at different times. Scandinavians for example were seen as being complete savages for most of history and now have some of the best countries on the planet, it's not inconcievable that other groups will replicate this later on.
