I know this is probably better in the game forum, but it's sort of a shitty question to ask there. I have confused myself by reading too much game material, I think.

When you hear somebody talking about a dude with game, what exactly is game?
What do you have to do to get it?
Is there a game mindset?
Who (among all players) has the overall best system of game?

I'd define game as having the ability to build attraction with desirable women.

Some men are naturals, some will never get it, some of us started out with decent technique but have learned improvements.

"Overall best system of game?" Not sure that can be answered. I've learned from a lot of players, including my father, my brother, blog posts by Roissy a.k.a. Heartiste, books and blog posts by Roosh, players here on the forum, etc.

Also, a lot of what I've learned wasn't specifically designed for players. "The Red Queen" and "Sperm Wars" are very enlightening books on human sexuality, but weren't expressly written for the purpose of plowing pussy.

To me, a succinct definition of game would be the capacity to use your skills, beliefs, and attitudes to get what you want in life.

Jay-Z has game, Richard Branson has game, Mick Jagger has game, Berlusconi and Putin have game.

Getting women can be indicative of game, but not necessarily. Tiger Woods has no game, many rockstars have no game at all. Game is not a requisite to get laid, Pussies and Flopdicks are getting laid by the millions everyday, sex is nothing special.

Game is like football.Some people are born with ablity to play it better some are zoglers but for sure practice makes one better than he is.
It can also be democratic as football all you need is a ball which is not expensive.Some people will try to close game in exclusive halls like golf where you need expensive field,electric cars,people carrying equipment etc.The conscious effort to keep it democratic aka football can be criticized by both men and feminists as low class.
The main problem of game is that there are no written laws for it imagine playing football with no rules what would happen.This is what game is it is like conflict in the jungle.

Lawyers manipulate judges and juries. Of course they reference cases and laws but I think they have to throw a little bit of game in there. If the glove don't fit...

The following abilities:

-To approach a girl- to go from "strangers" to "no longer strangers."
-Physical escalation- to touch women in ways that friends don't touch. i.e. hand holding, etc
-To be able to deal with logistics- pulling girls out of the club to sex location such as your place (night time), or leaving a restaurant or wherever and going back to your place (day time date).
-Sexual escalation- making out, sex.

-You must also be more persistent than all of the other guys trying to fuck her.
-Be impervious to any resistance she gives (which goes hand-in-hand with being persistent).

One more VITAL thing I forgot to add- eventually you must make your intentions obvious. To be ambiguous with what you plan on doing (which is to have sex with her) is weak, and will confuse her in a bad way.

I tweeted about this yesterday.

Game can basically be broken down into 3 parts:

25% of game is social conditioning and inter personal skill
25% of game is the lifestyle changes that have shaped who you are
50% of game is willpower / self-control / discipline

These determine other people's perceptions of you and how successfully you are able to interact with them (thereby getting what you want). Game is a set of tools made up of the above. Some people call it swag, confidence, whatever. Game is all of these things and more.

thats an interesting way of looking at it and the 50% makes sense since "approaching" would fit in there with willpower/self-control/discipline and approaching is maybe the biggest part of game for most guys

For me, it's being able to walk into any social setting, party, dinner, bar, courtroom, sporting event, what ever the situation may be, and dominate/captivate everyone in that setting. It's being confident in your own skin, realizing your weak points, utilizing your strengths, and constantly trying to better yourself. Master these things, and women will come second nature.

I make the widest possible definition for what game is. Game is whatever increases attraction. On most manosphere blogs game is the psychological component, including inner confidence, outward dominance, and psychological mastery. It is usually considered to be all verbal and non-verbal cues, but nothing more. Some people might add a little styling. A few more will allow body building in under the category, but most will say that only increases confidence, which in turn improves game (they are wrong – muscles in and of themselves have been conclusively proven to be attractive).

Since I have a very wide definition of game, I don’t setup a dichotomy between the physical and structural outward manifestations of attraction such as finances and being fit, and the more inward and personality oriented aspects of attraction such as psychological mastery and an artfully displayed inner confidence. Everything that helps is game.

There are two types of guys in the world, those who are in control of themselves and those who are not. True men have self control and are internally focused, which means that they have a sense of value that is developed from within and everything they are externally is derived from within. These are the only guys that will ever be able to develop a consistent level of game because they are the only ones that have the willpower and drive to put what they want ahead of other people's opinions or judgement. In terms of women, the rest simply either get lucky (status, money, social proof brings them girls) or they are betas for life.

My best bud at college was a D1 wrestling hero at his high school and claims to have laid 19 different girls back in the day. I believe him because its easy to see from his body language and personality that he's good with women, plus he's had some real sexy girls visit him from back home once in a while for some bangin. However since he got to college a year and a half ago he's only fucked 3 new girls and put on a good 50 lbs. Will he ever be a player again? I say no because he's externally driven and once he lost his status he lost his value because he isn't the type of guy who builds value from within. So I say at the core of game is your beliefs about yourself, which is the cause, and how that affects your interactions with women is the effect of true game.

Real philosophical but I took a break from writing my paper on Buddhism and its beliefs in the nonexistence of the self to write this post
