This post reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend who was teaching English in China. He observed when two German teachers from his school met for the first time, and being the only Germans there, they instantly connected and became friends for the duration of their time there. Similarly with Russians, Italians, English.

He compared that to his meeting with another American. There was nothing, no connection, just polite formality. Simply being a fellow countrymen wasn't enough to form a friendship in a foreign land - if you were American, that is.

While I think there is something to be said about a lot of the negative things accumulating over the years, one must admit that in 1987 a camcorder was super novel. Those people almost didn't even believe he was "taking pictures". With all of the life intrusion that everyone is also aware of, of course the average person is gonna be skittish: they know there are a lot more weirdos out there --- why would you wanna be recorded?

The difference in military strength between us and the rest of the world is so sick that I don't think people really comprehend it. It is a difference in kind and it has gone so far that there is essentially no bridging it, ever. Because we are an incredibly nice people we think ten times before using one millionth of our power for any reason, where any run of the mill scumbag empire would have long since enslaved the world, slaughtered their men and raped their women. But just because we are so nice doesn't mean we aren't more powerful than all the empires of the past put together.

Beyond all canting about "diversity" it is absolutely true that America wouldn't be as great as it is without all the different races and ethnicities that are part of the mix and give us the unsurpassed energy that the world can only try to imitate. That's why all the race nonsense in the comments going both ways just leaves me shaking my head. In a forum run by a half Persian half Armenian dude a large part of which is devoted to "game", a concept that exists basically because Iceberg Slim made it known outside of black culture in his masterpiece, and we're talking about race, really?

I think the reason for all this unnecessary drama, generally speaking, is that we've had a way too long and extended peacetime. When there is no war for too long, women get way too powerful and society stops making sense. The weaker men become effeminate manginas, and the stronger ones, like the ones who are drawn to this forum, get so restless and crazed from the lack of a real war that they try to start one with each other in threads like this

This feminism shit is bad but it will peak eventually and a real serious war will flush it out. But as Trump has pointed out, people in the EU are benefitting more from this than the US population. They have the international safety (due to the US' military presence) and the perks of living in countries that invest heavily in the wellbeing of their population.

Many EU citizens benefit from free top-notch health care, education, safe places to live and social solidarity.

There is less crime, drug abuse, poverty, psychiatric problems and political tension.

That 7-11 video reminded me of this video I watch from time to time, about a band I really like called Zeitgeist (who had to later rename to The Reivers due to another band called Zeitgeist)





It's young, goofy, college rock type stuff. It reminds me of a time before 9/11, "dark, gritty" movies, internet, and so forth.

I was 8 in 1989 so my memories of the 80s are limited to childhood innocence and a nonexistent appreciation for the culture around me. Just pure ignorant bliss.

But I remember going to large outdoor barbecues in Southern California with motorcycles, loud music, and just a very open feeling socially.

I also remember going to my first raves in the late 90s and taking acid at these warehouse parties in L.A., all these kids getting together to dance and go wild and be a part of something, we didn't know or care what and it didn't matter, but it was special. We had beepers at that time, it wasn't yet normal for everyone to have a cell phone, much less a smartphone.

I look at EDC and social gatherings now and it doesn't look the same, maybe that's just me being too old for that shit now. Girls going to EDC looking like hookers and taking pictures of their ass so they can hashtag #ravebooty...what the fuck is that shit.

As much fun as it is to reminisce and relish the nostalgia, it still doesn't change the fact that this is the most exciting time to be alive.

It's easy to look at America as this giant wasteland of fat fucks and backwards sex and social relations. And it is to some extent. You have to dig deeper here. Go join a motorcycle club, or a meditation group, or a church. Volunteer at a soup kitchen, take a job teaching kids a trade or craft, pick up a new hobby, learn a new language. Go offroading, skydiving, jetskiing, scuba diving, go join a soccer club, or rugby team, or softball. Take salsa lessons, learn to breakdance, cooking classes, go volunteer at a vineyard and learn about wine, take up cheesemaking, learn how to distill spirits, start smoking sativa vape pens, take an acid or mushroom trip, go backpacking through Colorado, go river rafting, rent an RV and drive around the country for a month, play an open mic night, take an improv class, learn how to iceskate, hire a dominatrix, spend a weekend in Tijuana, go fishing in the northwest (salmon season is great this year)

It's a hell of lot easier to do all those things in America than other countries. You speak the language and getting credit is easy. This place isn't so bad once you get out of the mainstream and have some hobbies and interests with likeminded people.

I’m not American so I can only see from the outside looking in.

It seems some of the country has gone soft. What we learn from history is that extended periods of good times create a softness. This is usually followed by some sort of societal collapse or war.

This is especially applicable to Europe and you could probably draw an analogy with late stage Roman Empire and the invading barbarian hordes, modern day Europe and the migrant/Islamic invasion.

I suspect over there in the US you won’t be invaded by migrant hordes but another civil war might be on the cards at some point.

In both regions, this will have the effect of removing the softness.

to Elaborate a little more on what i said previously.

Its the sexual marketplace.

Women can easily and more openly test the waters. 20 or 30 years ago women were really promiscuous (mainly due to the music and such) and those women grew to be awful mothers. Things seem to be going the same path but for the worst. Atleast back then there were very masculine movies. Nowadays as a man especially a man under the age of 30 you have to deal with

1. Forced views on homosexuality (which cause many guys to grow up confused and scared)
2. Impure women
3. Guilt of simply being a man
4. Seducing a woman without being accused of rape
5. The VERY competitive sexual marketplace
6. Crazy Girlfriends who now are being normalized through social media (you should see the memes)
7. Absolutely NO rites of passages (a society where everybody makes the team)
8. No male spaces (boy scouts GONE,sports Gone, Video games GONE, soon the military special ops forces will be gone)
9. A world filled with vulgarity and porn
10. An Easy comfortable world

10 is by far the worst in both men and society in general. If America were to be invaded right now, 80% of the country would be fucked

This part in particular hits it home to me; 'Uninhibited by textbooks or book learning, action is their solution to every problem'. Contrast that with men today; overthinking everything and 'analysis paralysis'.

We in the West have forgotten our history and lost our pride in our accomplishments. With no history and no ancestors we care little for the future. All the technology in the world won't save us from ourselves. Without belief, civilisations will be out-fought and without hope for the future and pride in the past, they will be out-bred. The US may go the way of Rome as some posters are saying, or it might be beaten in battle (don't be so quick to rule it out). What replaces it may be something brand new, or something old given new life.

Donovan again;

There's an old Greek proverb that says, "society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in." If you don't like what's happening around you, what's happening to culture, what's happening to men and women, what people are becoming- get out there and start digging.

All his books are thought-provoking with well-reasoned arguments. While I'd recommend reading everything he's put out, if you want a shortened version of his philosophy, it would be this; 'Form A Gang'. Well firstly, I'm not American so I can't comment on the details, even tho I've visited the States a fair bit. But the people who own your media and corporations also own ours, so we've got a similar situation.

Yes, the situation is fucked up. This is what will happen. 1st and 3rd world will merge in employment terms, also in quality of life terms in many aspects. Coming from a "wealthy" country will be as much a curse as a blessing. Corporations will happily put a generation of men on the scrapheap in favour of hoes, especially white working/lower middle class men. It'll all be dressed up as "progressive" and whatever wankerish buzzwords are the order of the day. There's a high chance your kids will be brainwashed into practicing sodomy and rugmunching. Technology will advance but it will be even colder than it is today, a giant illusion of dreams and riches "just round the corner". It was pitch black by week 3; there was so much aggressive stubborn grease we had to take the cutlery and dishes to the bathtub and wash them on our hands and knees, changing the water every few minutes. We were cleaning the plates with toilet bleach.

This is the "melting pot" they want, its going to take a lot of work and you'll curse why you did it.

Americans have something that other people don't have, which is the ability to make it big with enough hard work.

A doctor doesn't get to be as rich in Europe as in the US. Neither does a lawyer or engineer.

It's also my clear impression that the US legal system protects risk takers, in the form of corporation law and bankruptcy law, far more than in Europe.

For the average worker it is definitely far worse.

Whenever I hear friends abroad dreaming about coming to the US, I always say "be careful what you wish for". Are you ready to toil away for 50 or 60 hours a week? Immigrants quickly become disillusioned once they face the realities of American life. They come over thinking money grows on trees haha

Oh sure, I don't disagree. But from what I understand doctors and ESPECIALLY lawyers slave away just like everyone else, albeit with higher salaries. I bet if you look closely their quality of life is shit. They can't even eat right or cook for themselves because they're spending so much time at the office. Their They work themselves to death for a measly 2 week vacation and a fatty wife at home.

At the end of the day, we're all gonna be dead and buried at one point. I want to squeeze out maximum enjoyment from the little time I have on this Earth rather than pulling 8-5 shifts on a daily basis. Like the guy in Office Space said "It's not that I'm lazy, I just don't care"

You're right if its someone coming from an advanced country like Germany to the US.
But the immigrant problem is 3rd world/lower cost countries to places like the US and Western Europe.

When Poles started coming to Britain, the GB Pound has SIX times the purchasing power of the Polish Zloty. Basically work 1 year in England, and its like working NINE OR TEN years back in Poland. They didn't even have to pay taxes or National Insurance in England. And making money that quickly they'd do EVERYTHING to fill their boots eg living 20 to a house working shifts, and when one went to work, another would take his bed to sleep. They could work every hour God made because... well it was only short term. And they could soon go home and live like a virtual king back in a small town in Poland. The situation was and still is even more magnified in Romania. And as for Africa, Bangladesh and so on.. well the purchasing power is still 20 to 1 or more.

Companies show no loyalty to the nation they are in, even less to citizens of that nation. Amazon and Starbuck consider taxes a thing of the past, something the proles pay - or go to jail for if they are in business. They can treat immigrant employees as their total bitches, so they don't even want to consider local employees unless they have to. That's why the Establishment force this "diversity" and "European family" bullshit down people's throats. Because its a money maker of gigantic proportions. Even doctors, dentists, managers, programmers are falling victim to it - not just the unskilled that the corrupt media would have people believe. Add in the bullshit about women in STEM and transsexuals in everything and the world of employment has become hellish for many NORMAL males in their own countries.

First world countries tend to have higher exchange rates largely due to their higher taxes on everything from salaries, fuel and everything else.

Immigrants know there's an opportunity so its inevitable they will take it - even literally swimming into Europe illegally. From that pt of view I can't even blame them in a way.
But these immigrants often aren't even poor in their own countries. Many are from wealthy families already. Soros and his mates are providing the infrastructures to let them get all the way to Germany, Britain, Sweden etc - the highest cost areas of Europe, instead of declaring asylum in their place of arrival ie Turkey or whatever.

But allowing immigrants and offshore corps to grow rich on the backs of people who have actually BUILT the West is actually just a form of social parasitism. If its not stopped, 1st and 3rd world will merge. And the way things work in the current model is that wages only go down for 1st worlders.
