So you want to add more children to the population who are at higher risk of suicide, drug abuse, and depression from not having their fathers in their lives? As somebody who has a deadbeat father as well as a fiancée who does as well, this is probably the stupidest thing I read on the forum in my four years in being a part of this community, and that includes threads condoning incest and all kinds of crazy crap.

I assume you live in England but please come to some of America's inner cities. Please see the crime, hopelessness, and despair in those communities who lack fathers and male role models. You have noble thoughts, and I respect you for it. We all have different levels of faith in society however. Personally I couldn't care less if a couple of more fatherless criminals were born due to my sperm. There are 7 billion people on the planet. Most of these people do not share your noble thinking. Why should I sacrifice the survival of my genes in exchange for not even making a dent in the goodness of today's world?

You haven't given me a logical reason for why "polygamy" isn't the best strategy in life for multiplying your genes as much as possible. Genes do not care about "right" and "wrong", it cares about spreading themselves as far and wide as possible.

As for the OP, I sincerely hope this is trolling, the case of someone actually believing this is baffling.

Single motherhood is one of the most damaging things that can happen to a child. It greatly increases the chances that boys go into criminality and girls becoming whores that will prolong the cycle of single motherhood and of boys having a much larger possibility of going into criminality. There's a reason why great eras of economic prosperity and security are defined by a stable family unit. This shouldn't even be need to be explained.

Edit: After reading a few more comments. This just HAS to be trolling. This much "edge" is out of fashion since like 2012 or so.

Right, the philosophical question at hand is just whether you care about that or not. If you do, then that is your choice. Just don't expect to receive a gold star for it.

Also FYI, most women would rather get knocked up by an alpha male and become a single mother than marry and have offspring with a beta male. It could be argued that knocking women up for the fun of actually makes everybody happier.

You choosing to marry or not to marry will not have any bearing on the economic prosperity of your society. As a singular entity in a large mass, you are not that important.

Seems more to me that you believe your Christian reality to be unquestionable. I haven't closed myself off to conflicting ideas. Only you (and most of the other people in this thread) have done so. Well Jay Gould, you can father these illegitimate children but you and only you should be forced to pay for them. Motherfuckers like you want everyone else to pay for your stupidity which I don't accept so you should basically have most of your income taken from you to pay for these kids in the form of child support. I would also support you being thrown in jail if you didn't pay for your kids. It's assholes like you that make it much harder for guys who are legitimately trying and struggling to pay their child support because the courts assume every guy that isn't paying is a deadbeat like you.

I grew up in a married household (mother/father). My father was a very weak beta male who I did not have a connection with, and my mother wore the pants in the household. Until this day I feel resentment towards both my parents and visit them very rarely. Towards my father for being a cuck, and towards my mother for (knowingly or unknowingly) trying to lower my self esteem growing up by always talking about how boys/men are bad/disgusting/creeps and how she wished she'd have daughters instead (or other things related to that nature).

I am of the belief that the meaning of life is the survival of your genes. Every action a human being takes in life, whether male or female...if you keep asking "Why did you do this?" enough times, in the end you'll always get to: "Because I want to assure the survival and multiplication of my genes".

There are multiple ways of achieving this goal however, and everyone has a different path laid out for them depending on their strengths and weaknesses. In in the end though, every debate (whether political, philosophical etc) is just a bunch of genes arguing over how they can achieve an advantage over other genes.

You don't blame the women at all for agreeing to have kids with a (very likely) deadbeat father?

But yes I also think deadbeats should pay for their kids, and in general I would have no issue sending a check every month. Obviously not 50% of my income, but enough for the kid to get by.

On the other hand, I feel like I am already contributing way too much to society and to people on welfare with the amount of taxes I pay (I am in the top percentage of income earners). I put a lot of money in but receive very little back in terms of benefits. In a society like that, it is quite tough to not feel like you've done more than enough already, and it's time for other people to do their fair share.

I'm astounded at how stupid this question is. This is up there with the little dark threads in terms of how fucking stupid it is.

You obviously aren't a father or you wouldn't even bother wasting your time asking this question.

I'll be honest for the longest time I was pretty anti becoming a dad. I figured it would fuck up my ability to party and have fun. Now that I am I'd say it's the greatest thing that has happened to me. Once you hold your kid once its gameover. I enjoy being with my daughter so much that I'm closing my business this year, buying a house and moving to where she lives. (Shes Cuban) I didn't plan on being around 30 and living in Cuba but kids are a game changer.

If you can hold your child and think the way you are talking about then I don't know what to tell you. I'm not familiar enough with your location to guide you to the nearest psych hospital.
