Any one got any ideas on how to spit game at celebrity hotties? I'm not talking about situations where you happen to run into one on the street going about their daily life. I'm talking about in a situation where everyone knows who they are, and they are the center of attention.

One of the meetup groups I'm a member of had a happy hour type event recently that featured legendary hottie Monica Bellucci. Unfortunately, I was out of town at the time, but I would have loved to have rolled up with a tight gameplan and taken a hail mary shot.

Edit: This wasn't one of those Paris Hilton appearance at a club type events where the celebrity stands on a stage and you have no shot at interaction. This was an aperitivo, which is an Italian happy hour at a lounge with drinks and finger food.

It's not about hail mary shots. It's about having tight game and being able to show that you're a part of her world somehow, however tenuous the connection. When they're doing some kind of appearance or being 'featured' at an event you're going to have a much harder time. Better to catch them in a casual social setting.

I've pretended I didn't know who the celebrity is asking them what they do for a living. This happened when a girl from a fairly well-known girl band was at my socialite friend's table at a club once. Ended up chatting and flirting for half an hour - till her DJ boyfriend turned up.

Going for the personal angle makes it easier to connect without any of the celebrity bitch-shield getting in the way. Pretending you don't know who they are only works with minor celebs, obviously, but you'd probably be surprised at how even some of the bigger ones underestimate how many people know who they are. It's credible when I pretend not to know them because I'm not American, but could backfire if it looks like you're bullshitting.

Make acquaintances with people they know. It makes a good point of reference so your not some random person. Then put on your best game.

The key is not playing on her field and not appealing to material things or accomplishments. The truth is guys in her circle do this and will out class you anyway. In fact you must be unimpressed by these things. Your dress should likewise should reflect a don't care attitude without being unkempt.

Instead you will draw her into your hidden world. Were it me I would tell her about the intriguing value differences I noticed among the comparatively poor but exceedingly happy people I met while living on the Osa Peninsula. This followed by a few world view changing experiences and just plain fun I had living as an expat while weaving in equally ambitious future plans. These are experiences she probably cannot relate to but may just find fascinating. They also add value that other men she knows cannot relate to.

Take her on a ride she hasn't been on. If you're comparatively less accomplished or wealthy (and you likely are) then you better be exotic and worthy of looking up to in other ways. For example, her hypergamous nature may value a fellow celebrity, a peace Corp volunteer or a war journalist equally. So fit one of these models.
