And that's a good experience indeed. Although he probably wished he had more practice before going to Russia for a few week vacation - that's a place to utilize your skills. It is like going to a competition to practice. Of course you learn something during the competition, but attending it to use it as a practice field is waste of good opportunity.

My point, however, was that if an average American dude who doesn't speak Russian and lacks game experience wants to get laid, going to Russia for a month is likely to be waste of time and money. Russia is very unfriendly to those who cannot speak and read Russian unless you stay in downtown Moscow.

This thread was awesome. What an intense flame war. I loved all the RSD commentary and bashing. Some really good points made by Jerome, Sebastian, and Vorkuta.

Vast majority of the people do not even want to learn the "tight game". For most of them it is just a tool to find themselves a girlfriend of acceptable quality and forget about it. Very, very few people would have - or even enjoy - the player lifestyle.

Interesting. I agree with you to a point. I agree that tight game takes initiative, dedication, and a modicum of personal responsibility. However, I think in 2012 we take for granted the guys who put in work to lay the foundation of the seduction community. Everyone on here has utilized some form of the information that is out on game. For some people, that is enough.

People learn differently. Some guys can just read game concepts and get the nuances right away. Others (I would argue the vast majority) need to see it or have it explained to them or experience it to actually improve. That is where calibration comes in. A guy goes out, runs game, see what worked for him that particular night, and makes changes based on the feedback he gets over a period of time.

Now, if a guy can come in and spot me, tell me from a 3rd person point of view analysis, I'm all for it. I'm also for watching guys in field. That is super helpful, as it does break down any mental barriers, especially if the guy I am watching is not as physically attractive as me.

I never went to a hotseat, or bootcamp. Only a free tour years back with Jeffy. There was no in field video, but it was free with a deposit of like 25 or 30 bucks. That's a meal for me. Not a thing. My good friend and former wing went to a hot seat and he told me he saw a video of a fat Tyler Durden (TD used to be fat as fuck. I would say around 220 or 230 at 5'9") pulling 9's into the hotel room. If someone brought fat TD to me in 2004 and told me he fucked a 9, I would have laughed in his face. Now, I've seen videos, read up on game, and know better.

For some people, 300 for a one day seminar and 2000 for a bootcamp is too much money. At this point in my life, that is a bit much for my percieved return. However, for a full-on noob or even a guy who wants to improve his game and has extra cash, I think it's a good deal. To be honest, I would rather travel.

I look at bootcamp/seminars/hotseats as a direct investment into your social and game skills. One is actively trying to improve a skill set. Traveling is leisure (depending on the destination) and fun with the latent effect of making one a more interesting person. Both have their benefits.

It doesn't have to be a one or the other debate. It's not like people here have a finite level of money or resources. You can always make more and do both.

What kills me, is anyone can go out and learn game for free. All the info on the internet is just a bonus.

However, you can't go pick up a couple of suits or fly to Medellín/Las Vegas/Wherever for free.

Why someone would choose to drop $ on A rather than B confounds me.

With Mixxmastaa I learned an accumulation of natural game through several days and nights trooping, a little knowledge more every time out:
- I went from awkward serious street approaches to fun outcome independent street approaches that can lead to a # close, kiss close, or instadate.
- Mixx taught me the importance of throwing Kino into every female interaction that you're gaming her. Cool and fun conversation with a girl, with NO Kino = LJBF.
- One day we we're chillen at the mall buying random outfits and Mixx bought a full on white suit. A little later that day he said "I'll be right back", five minutes later he reappeared wearing the new suit...in the middle of the day, in the middle of the mall. When he reappeared it helped me realize that this man does not give a fuck what anyone thinks about him and that all this crap we're thinking in our heads doesn't really matter...we're all gonna die anyway. I also, realized "Damn, who cares what anyone thinks, and if they do care, fuck 'em."
- Mixx lives and breathes confidence and boldness and I know that it has rubbed of on me.
- I learned the vital importance of LOGISTICS, if you don't have you're logistics locked down, how can you expect the lay the girl down.
- I've integrated his ridiculous swagger and smoothness when interacting with females. It can be in the form of random natural lines, smooth openers, date routines, closing techniques, etc. He actually taught me lines such as "Did you get my text?" ... which I originally posted on the board under my old username.
- I could keep going and going and going, easily 100 more things, point is Mixx made my game G'd up from the feet up.

And I am always looking to improve my game, and every other facet of my life ... which is why I study other game material (Roosh, Roissy, Evolutionary Psych, RSD, etc.)

What I learned from Tyler at Hotseat:
- You know those nights where you just tear up the club and absolutely kill it with the girls, then the next day you go out after a long day of work and can't even get a chunker to give you the time of day? - This all has to do with being in state (beast mode) or out of state. I learned the when I'm out of state (ex. just left work), I just need to be Friendly and Cool in my interactions with women, since I'm not in state yet.
- Also, as Roosh has taught us before...lays are a product of MOMENTUM. Momentum is crucial, start early with your warm up sets (fat girls, elderly people, anyone) to get into state.
- Girls will fuck you sometimes, simply because they are bored.
- The best thing I learned was something Tyler said about alot of people get into game and want to be James Bond at game. It doesn't happen like that, women don't just come up to you and fuck you like they do to James Bond. In order to get laid, you must get rid of your EGO. Approach like a machine and be shameless! It does not matter what anyone thinks of you.
- Also, Tyler is PHENOMENOL at dissolving other men who are currently with the set of women he is approaching. (I still haven't fully grasped it, but it can be seen in his infield videos.)
- Anyone who tells me $300 was a waste, I really DGAF, it's not alot of moola at this point in my life. 3 years ago, yeah that would have been a big deal, but not now.

I have always admired Tyler's AMOG game. The rest of his stuff, I don't know, but his AMOG shit is gold and has served me well. The principles he discussed when he first created AMOG game (2003-4?) ended up being part of some fundamental parts human psychology I have since learned about in other sources.

With the amog stuff, I never really got too hung up on that. Think of how many approaches you've done. Then think about how many times you've had to actively tool a guy. I bet you the percentage is not that high. Usually I just ignore it if it happens or laugh it off because it doesn't really bother me. If someone touches me, I'll push them off. If it escalates, I'm down to throw down. If someone crosses a boundary, I'll call them out on it.

Carrying oneself with confidence (knowing how to fight/wrestling/box/jiujitsu also helps) discourages anyone but a sociopath from fucking with you.
