I can't find it, but there's also low interest (3%) loans for women and minorities only.

I don't like affirmative action period, the best person should get the job/scholarship period.

30% is a massive number. If I was a woman or minority I wouldn't even try to make competitive bids, I'd charge out the ass because they will have a hard time reaching that threshold (particularly construction, 90-95% of contractors I've known were white men.)

Why bother? I know a construction firm where the Owner/CEO who is 6'3" blue eyed blond guy... found he is 1/8th Native American. The guy is now rolling in government contracts.

These people build the system so that cheats and liars win. It's a test to screw honest people.

It's been like that in the public sector for a long time now. Everyone who is in the know that bids on government contracts has a "minority owned buisness" on paper at least. Without having that stamp on your business you won't even get your bid looked at. The vast majority of these "minority owned" businesses just exist like that on paper to get a leg up on any other businesses that haven't caught up to doing that yet. Because of course these "minority owned" businesses get preferential treatment due to the state making quotas saying they have to give so many out of so many contracts to these "minority owned" businesses.

A lot of these businesses don't (especially in really white areas) even employ minorities at all, it's a complete joke and everyone knows it.

This shit has happened for years with government contracts. It’s not a big deal in the construction business. Most of the “minority owned” companies are backed by the white guys who already run big companies. In the end, the bulk of the profits end up in the same place as they always would have, but the public officials get to pay themselves on the back for promoting diversity.

and they wonder why men and white people are pissed.

Why do minorities even want shit like this? Condescending, pat themselves on the back whites are basically suggesting that you aren't good enough to meet basic requirements.
