Basically, she opened me, commenting on my groceries (all i had was bacon and ramen noodles), I basically said the same to her (all she had was frozen dinners), she laughed and told me she was "just feeling really crazy from working so much", i said "well this is dc, thats what people do sadly", she kind of laugh-sighed and said yeah then she turned her attention to the cashier and checked out. Then turned back and said goodbye to me and left.

Anyone have any tips that help out in a non-ideal situation like that where she's sort of doing something else already?

It occured to me after the fact that would have been a good time to suggest an insta-date to a spot right across the street, I guess I just need to be bolder and quicker so she doesn't get away

you should have just continued talking, hopefully about something more fun and engaging than "that's what people do sadly". fi, you've could said that you're clueless in the kitchen, and that you rely on the kindness of strange women to feed you - but that there was no excuse for her buying frozen shit. have to go with cockier stuff than the elderly ramble here, since she's on her way out and you are trying to engage her.

Still, it was a moving target and a longshot, i wouldn't beat myself too much over it.

That's a tough spot if you're new to game because the presence of the cashier creates an uncomfortable witness and being in the checkout line creates a time constraint.

I'm not advocating you go apocalypse here, but that would've been better than nothing.

Ideally when she said she was "feeling crazy" you would've responded with something more open-ended than "this is DC" that way she could've responded.

Perhaps you could've said, "How crazy are we talking here? Let me guess, you're going to go home and eat all of those frozen dinners and polish them off with a 5th of smirnoff?

Another option would've been to pick out one of the frozen dinners and said, "Oh, I see, vegetable medley IS only for crazy people"

Hmm I would of told her to wait for up for me when she said goodbye. If she wanted your dick, she would of waited for you to pay.

That's good, I like it. I am not beating myself up, just looking for tips.

Yep. One of those times where you think of the line "hesitation will fuck you but it won't get you laid". In my own head, I was like "hey, tell her to wait, no don't say that, actually yeah, tell her to wait!" ... but then she was gone.

This happens all the time. In grocery game.

its obvious there is some attraction, but is it strong or real.

the best way to find out is, push the interaction for what you want.

when she said bye: You should of said," wait up, I want to talk to you, wait a second,"

This is the moment of truth.

Provide a reason or an excuse for her to continue this dialogue.

If she stay than its on and you wouldn't be writing this. You miss your window of opportunity.

Once she waited, you can suggest a insta-date from there.
