I hate it when guys in the gym wear these tank tops. Some guys wear oversized ones where they are basically naked, because everything hangs. And the sweat isn't soaked up.

Man, haven't been to a gym in forever, even in the corp ones it wasn't an issue (12 years ago maybe?) but the friendly dungeon gym that repelled all but the hardiest (and serious about training) ladies was expected to stink of sweat and tears (maybe less tears)
Guess for whatever reason it's their policy, she could easily change gyms though.

I do love me tanktops, but then again I train outside and do mostly cardio stuff...

I hate to say it but I agree with the girl slightly. like some said tank tops and gyms go together like peanut butter and jelly HOWEVER, she pissed me off with the "forced modesty" part....

personally many girls have told me that they go out looking their absolute best or show skin/ curves just so they can feel powerful. Powerful by rejecting any guy but the top 10%, or by causing the whole gym of men to stop and stare at her while giving some of them the "you're creepy af" look. its all a power play that they disguise as being "comfortable".

with that said i agree this was a stupid "ban"

I would have paid good money to have a fat, hairy dude in a mankini follow her around and use the equipment next to her while talking about how he wasn't going to tolerate 'forced modesty'.

What she means when she complains about 'forced modesty' is that she's hard up against the wall and she has to show more and more flesh to compete with younger girls. If she was an 18y.o. 8 then she wouldn't give a shit if the gym rules required her to wear a bomb disposal outfit.

I do wonder what the actual rationale for clothing restrictions in the gym is. Recently I wanted to take off my t-shirt, so I could observe my form while deadlifting and squatting. But I was told this wasn't permitted. I could only assume this was for the sake of any muslims who might possibly be in attendance, but who knows.

God forbid you actually want to lift a barbell in one of these corporate play pens, instead of using the bullshit isolation technology and treadmills they're forcing down everbody's throats. Go run outside, for God's sake.
