I have been with 2 ukrainian girls medium term in the past 2 years or so. One for 6 months, and the latest one that I just dumped recently, for about 14 months.
I live in italy and have made a conscious effort to actually have a real relationship with the latter one, travelled a lot to ukraine and also with her to other places, as well as she travelled to see me a fair amount.

Looking though the Ukraine thread, this thread and some trip reports I did learn a few things. Stay away from touristy areas, Bars, Strip clubs. Probably going to try and use social media to talk to a few girls before I make my trip to have a backup plan.
Looks like my best option would be going to normal place and approach girls until I have a few numbers then go from there.

I'd pick the Philippines for a number of reasons.

1) Weather is a million times better
2) Countless beach destinations an hour away
3) English

@Tintin - the key word is probably "conjure". Because you're maybe imagining something before you've seen it. While there is no doubt there are plenty of ugly and average filipinas, to say that you would go to Manila and not find any hot girls is a pretty far out statement indeed.

Obviously it's probably 20x harder to get laid in Ukraine vs Phils, so you're going for quality over quantity in Ukraine. But that doesn't mean you can't fuck some decent to nice looking girls in the Phils. You might also luck out and find the occasional stunner. If you don't speak much Russian past menu/directions Russian, you'll find your pool of women to be less.

I've noticed most reports from anywhere in the world are being negative or there is no report at all but you are just reading the experience of one person alone that you don't know anything about, there are many factors that make one being non successful.
