While this might provide instant gratification to these women, what it ends up doing in the long run is insulating them from any type of constructive feedback on their bad traits. So they end up gradually becoming monsters but no one ever tells them.

They talk too much, or too loud and go on endlessly about things no one else cars about. They wear clothes that look absurd. Their apartments smell like rancid food and animals. They spend themselves into oblivion. Everyone hates them at work.

All of this might sound like hyperbole to men in their twenties. But the game changes in a few decades. In my forties, it seems almost every woman I meet my age is like this to some degree -- especially the eternally single ones.

This is what happens when you don't take criticism and when there is no husband around to provide a yin to your yang.

Why don't older men suffer from this syndrome? That's easy. It's because all American women do is criticize men, so we know all our faults and then some from elementary school onward.

I've known from an early age just how insufferable I am. I've been told countless times and that message has been reinforced through the media and the government institutions that the sweat of my brow has funded. Women never seem to get that lesson. They are taught a different lesson.

They are taught that they are princesses, that even fat and ugly ones should be admired for just being who they are. They are taught that it's empowering to strike out at a man, whereas a man who would do the same thing will wear a scarlet letter for the rest of his life.

They are now taught that hey can flaunt their bodies, and anything they do with them is "their choice", while they actively seek to limit men's choices. One of my part-time jobs as a teenager was at a law firm where the partners were seperating. I had to go into the basement at night and seperate out files.
