Same, the one thing that sucks with that is I have to explain why my recommendations are a bunch of girly fantasy shows.

Mine is automatically set to "grandpa"'s account

Never watch TV. It's YouTube/music with a decent playlist. Professional grade cocktails. Lobster tail & steak dinner if she warrants it.
Before you think I'm spending serious coin, know that I buy in bulk when I catch good sales and stock the freezer. $12 bucks @ the most, lol.

I'm with you on this one.

I don't even own a TV.

When I bring girls back to my house, it's music from a top of the line Sonos speaker system (with a subwoofer) and professional grade cocktails.

It makes her go "wow, this is so different and old school."

The speaker set was expensive -- around $3k, but it's totally worth it. Not just for gaming, but for chilling out and having parties, too. I can turn my living room into a nightclub.

Own TV but use it to play music through Logitech sub + speakers (7+ years and still going strong)

Netflix is boring...unless you watch Stranger Things together all the way through and horny after the episodes (yes I've done this)

RE: Netflix and chill - what do you put on?
Watch something that allows you to turn off your brain.

Personally, I'm always up for a stand up comedian, or TV shows like F is for Family, Archer, Family Guy, etc.

You don't want anything thought provoking (Sherlock Holmes) because your girl will either:
A. Get sucked into the show which will make it hard to get her away from the TV.
B. Lose focus on what you're saying or ignore your advances.

If you watch anything that allows you to keep your attention on other things, your escalation will be much easier.

Reporter: What keeps you awake at night?
General James "Mad Dog" Mattis: Nothing, I keep other people awake at night.

I watched Neo Yokio with a girl a few weeks ago. She was into it, and I got the bang (despite putting on a cheesy show).

Always recommend comedy. Got to make the girl “have funnnnnnnn.”

In your experience, what kind of music works best for gaming at your place?

I'm not trying to be a prick, but TV is so ordinary.

I rock out with the same Klipsch 6 piece set I bought in 1995, recently the neighbor in the house behind me came over just to see what he was hearing over at his place.

Hank, what is your go to cocktail of choice? Assuming you stay in frame and serve something out of the ordinary.

Hank, what is your go to cocktail of choice? Assuming you stay in frame and serve something out of the ordinary.

Women tend to like vodka, cranberry, and club. I make it with a blue napkin, and black straws. Looks cool and it's easy to drink.

If I'm feeling fancy, I'll throw some frozen fruit into the Ninja, add wine and rum. Sangria.

Women tend to dig anything with a red hue.

Otherwise, my bar is pretty basic but the presentation works. Pony bottles of club soda, tonic, ginger ale, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, and Diet Sprite. Ice bucket. Vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and whiskey. Bitters and olives. (Cranberry juice has to be kept in the fridge). Boxed wine put into a decanter. Bar strews, blue napkins.

Personally, I just drink whiskey on the rocks. But with a big ass rock.

https://www.amazon.com/Large-Silicone-Tr...+cube+rock

For some reason, the big rock makes a world of difference in presentation, and the set cost me $10.

Glassware: red wine glasses, white wine glasses, tumblers, and martini glasses. A few pint glasses in the freezer for beer drinkers. I keep some basic beers in the fridge, but they'll go untouched for months.

Also, to answer OPs question, I keep board games at my house. 70s board games. Board games force her to interact with you, plus she's probably never seen another dude bust out a game of Scrabble.

They look cool and they're nostalgic. You'd be amazed at how many times I've gotten laid over a game of Scrabble.

Agreed, especially if you were talking about ghosts/spirits/horror movies earlier in the date. Easy excuse to bring her home to show her what you were discussing.

I always put on a documentary or a staged documentary (the office) if it's a sober NFAC. If coming back from a bar or club and we're both drunk I always put on Black Mirror. There's a ton of episodes that get things going going implicitly and they are still high energy enough to not change the "just got back to my apartment after a night out" vibe.

Good black mirror episodes for this
Arkangel
Hang the DJ
Playtest
Be right back
White christmas

Good office episodes
s2e22 - jim tells pam he likes her
s5e1-2 - long distance relationship/jim proposes
The finally - always emotional

Wtf. I wouldn’t bother with all these false pretenses, would rather make a direct, unapologizing, transparent move.

The speaker set-up sounds like a great idea. Might look into that for a Christmas gift to myself for my living room/den.

Agreed.

The Office is good in that even if you’re not paying attention (which you shouldn’t be), there’s usually a “That’s what she said” thrown in somewhere in the episode. Can be used to your advantage in the right context (depending on the vibe).

Family Guy and It’s Always Sunny are solid, too.
