One of the dumbest titles for an article I've ever seen. Normies are going to see it and wonder wtf? Maybe they click on it and try to read through the drivel but I doubt the words will sway them one way or the other. Unless they're mentally ill. NYT must know where their bread is buttered and have decided to double down for their audience. Is the fact that these are all higher profile/famous/rich men lost on the writers/editors of NYT? Bad game, ''the old power corrupts'', and plain old deviancy theme is strong in all these men that have been accused. If the NYT were really concerned or smart they'd write an article specifically targeting famous/rich men and why they feel they can get away with such things. But that would be opening pandora's box (to them anyway) But nope they have this dumbass article written by a soy boy looping all men into this category.

Those of you who aren't Canadian are rightly disgusted by such a creature. Now imagine how I and the other few remaining Canadian men who aren't grovelling slaves experience day-to-day life with these eunuchs infesting our country.

Wow. These are terrible photos. With his second chin and wrinkled blazer, he looks like shit. And her body language. Look how she keeps her distance, even leaning away from him in one pic. Hand in pocket. Painful grimace. Hiding the wedding ring in 3 out of the 4 pics (and the one pic you can see the ring is the one where she's blatantly leaning away from him). In defense of El Padrone:

When the NYT's reporting is good, it's extremely good, and they often have good travel and food sections. Due to their bias, they do sometimes pick up on useful pieces of legitimate stories that others miss.

It's just this utter lunacy that they insist on not only publishing (fine, I can ignore it), but promoting in my feeds (now you're wasting my time). In defense of Stephen Marche:

His wife's chin is more prominent than his. Her test levels are through the roof. Being a typical blue pill chump, he mistakenly thought he would be the beneficiary of her libido, and instead ended up trained to hate himself for wanting to bang his own wife.

When I look at that story, it confirms what I saw in his columns and book. Everywhere, in all of his writing, there's a pervasive futility and sadness. Even a short story about a man finding some kind of passion for wild (not, he stresses, domesticated) animals is contrasted with a job helping families watch over the dead, all as part of some kind of rumination on slipping into decay at 40.

The subtext is clear. He refers to patriarchy as "hollow" because that's how has experienced his own gender. His life has been a recipe for his own irrelevance and destruction and he knows it, obsesses over it, mourns it. Needing to fuck something that doesn't live in a cage like he does makes perfect sense to him. He rejects feminism because they reject gender identity, but can't seem to figure out what a male identity might be. Google reveals that an old column of his in the New York Times proposed that the solution to the problem of housework was neither for women to do the work nor for men and women to divide it equally, but rather to simply live in squalor because cleaning isn't important anyway, a conclusion that the comments show disgusts his female readers on multiple levels. Even a psychiatrist chimes in, noting that his disregard for his own living conditions is a common mental health indicator.
