Because their future is your future. We're all going down with the ship if we don't get this righted.

Also, why do people brag about their lack of empathy? That's not far from sociopathy. There's no accounting where these individuals are personally responsible for their own deaths.

Their future is not my future, because I don't live in a diversity-filled city

This is naive and solipsistic. The left is coming for you. They're aggressively driving the whole culture in their direction, decade by decade. You can't escape its effect without withdrawing from American society. That's not a long-term solution at a societal level.

(10-31-2017 06:16 PM)MMX2010 Wrote:  Anonymous Bosch complained about President Trump's use of rhetoric, but this anti-Trump political ad contains the most powerful rhetoric I've ever seen. It's only one minute long; please watch.

If it's 'powerful rhetoric', why was my first reaction to exhale and rolling my eyes like an unimpressed teenage girl?

It's the standard 'Sad Crying Kitty Under A Tree In A Rainstorm' crap I was complaining about during Trump's campaign. I don't cultivate the indulgence of high emotions in myself*, (note my choice of the word 'indulge and see my 2013 complaints about how we're seeing a resurgence of Victorian 'Sensibility'), and, as such, I don't respond to it.

Not responding to obvious emotional manipulation is why I attract women easily. If they want to cry in a man's arms whilst directly encouraging their own emotional hysteria to produce a physiological reaction, they can find some Soy Boy to watch the opening of 'Up' with. Hell, he'll probably cry too.

What that commercial actually is: catastrophising and hysterical hand-wringing that serves the opposite function of what good rhetoric should do: it pushes away moderates and anyone of functional intelligence instead of swaying them to your side. Reading up on the reaction now, it's pissed off a lot of people, so it's Anti-Rhetoric.

Things I'd also classify as Anti-Rhetoric: 'Basket of Deplorables'; 'You're a Nazi'; 'Trump is Literally Hitler'; 'Love beyond age'; and the endless-kvetching of every Yenta in existence.

-----

* It's not that I don't feel emotions. I carefully filter what I - very deeply - feel into my art, where I feel high emotions have their place. I was having a post-sex discussion with a female singer songwriter last night: she was sitting on a chair across from me playing some of her songs on an acoustic guitar as I smoked a cigarette, naked, (both emotionally and physically), so, very fragile and vulnerable in the candlelight. Utterly-beautiful.

She brought up the fact that, when she's really in the zone and feeling her performance, there's moments in her songs where her whole body will physically shiver. "Sometimes I can see goosebumps on my skin."

I told her I recognise the experience - the same thing happens to me when I've really written a song well - it's an ecstatic reaction that I image being like a dry orgasm, and that I'd looked into it in the past.

From what I think I remember reading, it is apparently, is a sign of High Emotional Intelligence. People who experience this have stronger and thicker nerve connections in the brain between the auditory areas and the brain area that experiences emotions.

So, it's not that I don't feel: my emotions are very rich and, due to this, my emotional experience of the world is highly-complex, and very hard to explain to others. I've had problems in the past with musicians who are used to playing either 'upbeat' or 'ballad', or happy (major) or sad (minor) songs.

So, where a musician might know how to play a 'happy' song, are their emotions complex enough that they can understand how to play a 'strangely-happy' song versus a 'darkly-happy' song?

Hence my constant use of currently-unfashionable and much-frowned-upon adjectives in my writing. I qualify every experience down to a specific shade of experience, because I 'see' in such rich shades of emotional complexity.

As such, my experience of that commercial might be vastly-different to yours. It's a flat two-dimensional scribble with a black crayon: stupid, ugly and insulting to my intelligence. It speaks of sheltered privilege - Sensibility is, at its core, a very Upper Middle-Class affliction - and a deeply-false perception of the world.

I remain unswayed.

I'm failing to see what your point is.

Currently we're seeing an extreme immune reaction from the traditionalists of the west kick into action. It may not be fever pitch yet but it's winding up, not down.

Moving to the sticks/burbs in a politically reliable area, raising as big a tribe as possible, becoming part of a rugged and loyal community as well as learning to play with guns (plus other stuff) is precisely a wise move for anyone that values both personal freedom and the survivability of "their people".

What on earth are you actually suggesting? That crying a river of tears for liberal retards killed by their own poison is somehow beneficial to the survivability of Forney, his kin and his people?

Utter nonsense.

Forney never said he was unconcerned about liberal politics and the cloud they've cast over the future of the West. He merely stated that he doesn't give a fuck about these particular liberals killed in a liberal stronghold by a liberal sourced immigrant jihadi.

It's unfortunate that some of them have turned out to be tourists but that doesn't change the issue at hand.

I have a MA in History...and I'm in a doctoral program now. I have recently discovered in the course of my research, that a not-too-far-relative (very close) of mine was an officer in the Marines. Commissioned in 1940. Was a company commander in the First Marine Division. He was in the second landing craft to land on Guadacanal. Ive confirmed it. He was there. He lived it. He fought there until December, until his unit was relieved. He fought every banzai charge on his unit, every engagement, every thing the Japs threw at his boys. He. And they. Fucking. Endured.

He was then transferred to the Fourth Marine Division, as as Major. He was the Executive Officer of a Marine Battalion in that Division and fought on Kwajelien, Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. He took it all...until he took a bellyfull of Jap shrapnel on Iwo Jima and had to be evacuated.

He fought for five years, in conditions I can only read about..and shudder about ....but never know.

This man knew what courage was. This man fought for what he believed in. This man would not give up. This man - was a man. I have served almost my entire working life in the Army...been to OIF, OEF.....but... I ..will...never...know...what he went through. Nothing I have ever done, or will do.....compares to what he did. He will always have my utmost respect. I am in awe of what he was, and what he means. But most importantly..

1. In any event, I hope that this attack will make a few more people on the left question their stance. I said the same thing after Orlando. They may not speak up but they do vote.

2. On a recent trip to NYC, my Uber driver was an immigrant with signs in Arabic and religious paraphernalia all over the dashboard. Didn't exactly inspire confidence. My hometown in the northeast now has an Islamic high school. This depresses the hell out of me.

Empathy for a clear and self-sworn enemy is an indulgence for women and children.

The last 6 decades have proven that empathy, compromise and good-will are utterly feminine "virtues" that have no place in the determining of how to build and maintain civil society.

The majority of Manhattan residents would support having every single member of RVF thrown in prison for our "hate speech." We already know that they support us being blackballed from employment because "free speech doesn't apply to private companies, it's the free market, get over it."

The majority of Manhattan residents will actively fight any attempt the Trump administration makes to guarantee their safety against Islamic terrorism, like they did when he tried to implement a travel ban at the beginning of the year.

Therefore, why should I care when one of the Muslims they love so much decides to kill some of them? This is the future they chose, this is the world they voted for.

I feel for my friends who are still in New York City. Everyone else? They made their choices; now they get to live with them.

The usual suspect and a lovely example of the enrichment that is now being bestowed upon the US and Canada as well. Too long have Americans been deprived of the blessings of Islamic enrichment.

The French, Brits, Swedes and Germans have already experienced the Trucks of Peace - now New Yorkers can join the party:

He looks as we expected him to look. And I would not mind his look, because some Hipsters (just better groomed) can look similar.

We have to remember that EVERY CIVILIZATION on Earth is at war with Islam.
It is a hostile ideology that wishes to subjugate every other system and religion on earth until it rules supreme. It will continue to kill and maim and spread via deception until it has achieved it's goal or what is more likely - until one day the globalists give the extermination order and that won't be pretty.

Quote:The Diversity Visa Lottery gives out 50,000 visas every year to foreign nationals from a multitude of countries, including those with known terrorist problems – such as Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Yemen, and Uzbekistan.

The "Diversity Visas" are simply a disgrace. I would fill the slots with Ex-Muslims, converts to other religions and fleeing Christians from those regions. But I estimate that the visa algorithms are designed to be "extra diverse", so your chances of winning as a Middle Eastern Christian are probably much lower.

I'm with you. Empathy is a crock of shit. It's a fake emotion, for lack of a better word. Not to mention that there's no way anyone feels "empathy" for people they never knew.

Sympathy is one thing, empathy entirely another. Narcissists -- which by definition mostly includes the virtue-signalling left and therefore the majority of women -- don't know how to do the first and are incapable of the second because it would first require that they believe other people exist as fully as they do. Can't put yourself in the extra's shoes if you're the main character of the movie, that's just ... does not compute.

The problem is that most narcissists don't know how to do sympathy because they don't really have much of a script for it. When someone tells you their brother died, the psychologically healthy thing for both of you to do is say 'I'm very sorry to hear that. Is there anything I can do?' And nothing else.

The answer to your question, of course, is "No." When it gets down to it, you can't really do anything to assuage another person's grief: just as we are born and die, we grieve alone, in our own hearts. All you can do is be there if the person reaches out. You can feel sympathy -- feeling pity or sorrow for the other person -- but you can't feel the other person's grief no matter how hard you try. You didn't live with the dead person for X number of years, you didn't pull their head out of a toilet when they vomited. There is no empathy for these moments, and sympathy as fired off by a narcissist is not sympathy at all.

Only a supremely arrogant moron (or a narcissist) would make someone else's grief about themselves by pushing themselves in on someone else's grief and offering them advice, or saying something really fucking daft like "I remember when my uncle Hal died. I was devastated." Fuckface, you think the person who's grieving really gives a fuck what you were feeling when your uncle Hal's heart finally stopped beating and he shat himself as his sphincter finally relaxed for the last time? It's not about you. Stop being an awful person and just fucking be there in support. Stop trying to empathise -- put yourself in the other person's position, i.e. shove them out of the way and make yourself the centre of the drama -- and recognise your sympathy as a trigger for offering support, not imposing it on another human being.

In the cinematic excrement that is The Intern with De Niro and Anne Hathaway, there is one diamond: the purpose of the pocket square, the pocket handkerchief for the suit. De Niro explains in one scene that it isn't actually there for the men. It's there because the women lose their shit and cry, the snotrags are for men to present to them when it happens. Last vestige of chivalry or some shit. Take the lesson: when the grief starts, the man's job -- any person's job -- is offer the handkerchief, not start bawling yourself and bury your face in the rag.

Remissas, discite, vivet.
God save us from people who mean well. -storm

RE: 8 dead in Lower Manhattan Islamic terrorist attack
The forum mood has changed, after the string of heinous Islamist attacks (against the West) of these last two years.

Because I remember the heat I took here (online) during the Paris Bataclan terror, for saying just what everybody is now stating here: that, sadly, the victims happened to be, in their majority, the same people who voted for the open-border pro-Islam Left. At the time, I guess the forum (and in general, the hardworking population of the West) was still not hardened enough, not black-pill enough, to note or admit this fact (that Leftists are the first to fall victims of their own crazy open-border policies).

So, well, it does mean something, beyond the scope of the forum: that the people of civilized countries, are getting woke, are losing any remnant of sympathy they had for SJWs and crazy Leftists. Our terrorist enemies are getting more violent and ruthless, but at the same time, and thanks God, the population of the West is getting more red-pill and determined to strike back! Both sides are removing gloves.

And it's a good thing, as we need to fight fire with fire! Terrorists, open-border politicians, lesbians and other fat SJWs, are all our lethal enemies. No sympathy ever for them!

I have served almost my entire working life in the Army...been to OIF, OEF.....but... I ..will...never...know...what he went through. Nothing I have ever done, or will do.....compares to what he did. He will always have my utmost respect. I am in awe of what he was, and what he means. But most importantly..

what IT means.

I am now researching his story, and will write it. His story deserves to be told. I owe it to him. And anyone else who care to know what a hero looks like.

That’s awesome and inspirational. Much respect.

“….and we will win, and you will win, and we will keep on winning, and eventually you will say… we can’t take all of this winning, …please Mr. Trump …and I will say, NO, we will win, and we will keep on winning”.

(11-01-2017 06:54 AM)Going strong Wrote:  The forum mood has changed, after the string of heinous Islamist attacks (against the West) of these last two years.

Look - when the Bolsheviks came, then many people and women before all bought their lies of a communist utopia. Some were even praising the virtues of Stalin while already being in a Siberian gulag.

The brainwashing by media, academia and politics is relentless. Yes - many of the victims at Bataclan and now in NYC would be classified as pussy-hat wearing Hillary supporters who would have chanted the praises of Stalin in the 1940s.

The mainstream reasoning of those attacks goes this way:

Islam is peaceful, but simply misunderstood. It teaches peace of greater proportion than Christianity. Muslims are simply oppressed by the West and marginalized and impoverished by discrimination in all Western countries they live in. Also they are marginalized and oppressed in India, Burma, China - wherever they live they are oppressed for some strange reason - because racism and Islamophobia. All attacks have nothing to do with it.
Also you cannot quote the Hadiths and Quran, because the bible is violent too. And don't compare Jesus and Mohammed - Jesus was violent with the money changers, so who cares if Mohammed ordered his own follower to execute his own daughter because she insulted him, that is surely comparable? Jesus was just a killing machine that was stopped in his tracks by the Romans.

Seriously - the propaganda is relentless. But if the media and academia stopped and reversed, then you would realize that sanity would return. Though that is not stopping. Also I would extend this understanding to Muslims, because even if Islam is super-evil and Satanic, Muslims are influenced by it at varying degrees and some even become saints DESPITE THE RELIGION. Still - we must address the core ideology as the problem of the behavior and not continue claiming that Islam is wonderful. The same can be applied with the leftist ideology that is pushed by the globalists. However that is even more difficult to topple since the Big Boys have amassed so much power nowadays. Ah well.... more to come....

At least Obama the secret Muslim is out and spares us his bullshit:

Either way - it's all part and parcel of living in a big city with a large enriching community that preaches full-on war against anyone who believes in something else than them.

I don't even want to know how many of our brothers may have been victims in one of the numerous attacks over the past few years. After all, they wouldn't be checking into RVF afterward, right?

Not to detract from this incident/thread but my father-in-law's friend got killed at the Bataclan two years ago. The poor fucker probably died a horrible death as many of them were systematically tortured in a way that would make the Spanish Inquisitors of old throw up in their mouths.

The French were served a huge disservice by not disclosing the details of that event as it may have swayed the results of the French election significantly. At least one would hope. Anyway, I'm bringing this up as it should be our sacred duty to shine as much light as possible on any terrorist attacks, whether domestic or abroad. The truth, over the long term, will work in our favor and if we allow for political correctness and censorship to become the prevailing standard in public debate and politics then the enemies of Western civilization will succeed in wiping out over 2000 years of painstaking cultural and technological progress.

The truth will set [us] free. John 8:31-32

It wasn't the IRGC that carried out the attack in Manhattan.

US Marine vet Ken O'Keefe outlines why Iran is in the crosshairs and not Saudi Arabia whose paw prints are all over this attack.

RE: 8 dead in Lower Manhattan Islamic terrorist attack
Alright guys, so Trucks of Peace ™ have now reached the United States. Several things:

1. This has been mentioned before, but warrants being said again. Ain't it weird how trucks have been around for 100 someodd years but only in the last year or so it has become a thing for terrorists?

2. Only in the past few years have self-driving cars started to make real headway. Ah, must be a coincidence.

3. Remember this thread? Dang, that wasn't even a month ago! Ah, another coincidence.

4. Reporters already saying that this attack is "a fact of life in the modern age."

The writing is on the wall.

There are currently ZERO reasonable and rational explanations for how the Trump Continent and the Clinton Archipelago are going to maintain coherence into the next generation, other than by sheer federal tyranny which will only ever be brought to bear by the globalists.

And what makes you think the federal tyranny will be brought to bear by the globalists? You've got it backwards, nationalists are taking control and if we can maintain the gains then it will be the blue states whose wills are bent.
