Alright guys, going to finish up the rest of my experience in Vietnam:

Forgot to add that I met with CleanSlate again over coffee at Vincom Center with another forum member DrugAdvisor, it was a light hearted session and I really appreciated the meet up. Will definitely be looking to buy him a beer next time I'm in Penang.

Day 4:
I arranged for the girl on Day 1 to come over in the morning. She bought breakfast again and came to my room where we fooled around till mid day before we went out for lunch. Along the way to the Saigon Central Market, it started pouring so we escaped to a McDonalds for awhile. I was getting myself a coffee at the McCafe and there were about 4 girls working at the counter. I don't know if its just me or do Vietnamese shops love to hire a shit ton of people in their stores. They were talking in Vietnamese but I heard the word Yea-Ther which was cute in Vietnamese and they said it while glancing at me giggling. I found the entire experience pretty amusing and I went back to tell my girl. She then proceeded to look over at the McCafe with a death star, punched me(like a legit hit) on my shoulder before hugging me and sulking. It was comic to say the least.

I had another date in the evening so I told Girl 1 that I was meeting a friend for dinner and she left around 4pm. I took a shower and got ready. We had arranged to meet at 5 at the starbucks 3mins walk from my apartment. I got ready and checked my phone about 4.50pm, "can we meet another day?" Shit.

I was pissed because this girl had been stalling me for ages. I pressed for a reason and she finally said that she was actually just discharged from the hospital yesterday for a high fever and she said her skin wasn't in the best condition and she wanted to look the prettiest for our first date. She then proceeded to send me photos of herself in the hospital and her skin lol. There wasn't anything wrong with her skin and after a few minutes of coaxing, she finally said she was walking out to get an Uber.

Met her and she came in a black short dress which looked good. She was alittle shy but I ran my boyfriend routine and she got comfortable quickly. This one was alittle spoilt but was still sweet by Western standards. She brought me to this sky garden-ish restaurant called Mountain Retreat. We had dinner for two with a nightview of Saigon in District 1 for 20bucks, I would recommend this to the other guys in the forum for dinner dates. Went for a quick walk at the Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street nearby before we took a cab back to my place. She gave alot of LMR but I lied down with her, looked her eye to eye and did some sweet talking, I gave her a hug and then escalated from there. Sex was normal, didn't want to give head at first but I coaxed her into it.

Day 5:
I was supposed to spend the day with the French Vietnamese girl and admittedly, I was liking this girl fast. She wanted me to come for her university club meeting in the morning. I knew what she wanted to show me off to her friends, its quite a recurring theme for most of these countries so I wasn't too bored. Besides, I always like to check out universities, the only place where 18-21 year olds walk around in abundance. So I went with her, its at the outskirts of HCM, in Thu Duc district about a 40min ride out of D1. It was a good experience, you basically need to play the role of "perfect foreigner", practice speaking English with them, telling them stories of your country, saying the few words of Vietnamese you know to generate a positive reaction. It will do you leaps and bounds benefit when her social circle likes you. My girl was beaming when all her friends was surrounding me with questions and of course secretly happy when her friends looked jealous when I told them I thought my girl was very cute.
Got her back to my apartment and I swear all the jokes on this forum about Viets being tough isn't a lie. This 155cm girl is like a Spartan. 5 hours. It took me 5 hours to get the lay. Caveman, coaxing, shutting her off, caveman and a repeat of that for a whole 5 hours with all my bed sheets coming off and the entire room littered with my blanket and pillows before I finally got it. After which, she got up, got dressed and put on her make up before going out to buy dinner back just because I said I was hungry. These girls are fierce lovers. My girl straight up told me she was "territorial" lol.

Day 6:
Last day so nothing much. I have been texting my milf landlady the whole trip and on the last day, got her down for a drink in the morning and even got her back to my room! Ultimately, I didn't make any move on her because I was worried about the consequences, it was too much risk and I didn't want to gamble on it.
Everyone had work on but Girl 1 took off from her work to come send me to the airport. At the departure gate, she cried as I walked in and she even got me a gift. A little potted plant that she hoped I would water and think about her as I do. I would.


All in all, it was a good trip. It did change my mindset actually. I arrived in HCM with the mindset to bang as many high quality chicks as I can. I avoid Bui Vien and all the main tourist areas specifically for that. I had no intentions of having any feelings for the girls. Yet while I arrived in Vietnam alone, I left being sent off and with a gift from a girl who cried for me. I hardly have any feelings for the girls I banged but Girl 1 in particular was different. She was the only one who was loyal throughout, who would try to make me feel as comfortable as I could. She was in many ways, the perfect girl. I don't feel bad for the rest of the girls I've banged this trip because they either clearly had money or something going on in their lives, Girl 1 doesnt. She goes to work everyday earning a monthly paycheck of 800 and in her words, I was "the best thing that happened to me this year."

I don't usually get sentimental but this is an exception. Vietnam has showed me a great time and girls who are lightyears ahead of their western counterparts. I will be coming back again. I will be keeping in contact with Girl 1, I owe her that much. I will be looking to visit her again even though it is clearly impossible for us to progress into a legitimate relationship given our circumstances in life.


Damn, never thought I would feel this level of emotion on a 6 day trip.

Is it all right if I ask how overnight guests were handled by your airbnb host/building reception?

I'll be arriving in HCMC next week and have yet to book a room. I've been looking at a few places on airbnb that are close to district 1 and have a pool, but a lot of the listings state "no overnight guests who aren't registered at check-in" or something very similar.

Do these fancier condos have a strict guest policy? Or does it depend more on the staff at the front desk/airbnb host?

Do they allow daytime visits but not allow them to stay overnight?

My Airbnb had a no guest beyond 11pm who wasnt registered rule but it wasn't enforced. That could be attributed to the fact my landlady really liked me and also the fact that because it was a family business, all the staff were family members and half the nights, the reception was empty lol. Otherwise they would see me coming in with a girl but not care. Sorry I couldn't help much, I was worried about this issue too but it turned out fine for me.

I haven't been to Vietnam yet, but I can tell you that when I was in the Philippines, there was one mall that I went to the customer service desk to return something. There were 15 people standing behind the counter chatting and playing with their cell phones waiting for someone to arrive! I was a bit shocked and amused, they were all willing to chat with a foreigner and we had a good time. Even took a picture of being waited on by 15 customer service people. Rather humorous and not something you see in the West every day. That's what happens when you have a country with low wages and a young workforce.

As for the rest of your story with the death stare and the punch, I would find that pretty amusing too.

I find it endearing that Vietnamese girls care so much about their relationships (even one as short as your's!) that they get protective and want to make sure you're loyal. Of all the girls of SEA, I've heard enough of these stories to make me think they are some of the best bets for LTR/wife searching. Just don't cheat, otherwise you will be sorry.

In more conservative cultures like Vietnam, I think you're right on the money. If you show them you are a respectful, smart foreigner, they will treat you with respect. If you act like a drunken oaf of a backpacker, they will rightfully scoff at you. That's why social circle game is the best game IMHO for getting a great high-quality LTR in Vietnam or any other conservative country.

I think girls like you hanging out in their social circle to make sure that you're just a normal, good dude. I think a lot of girls worry that foreign guys are just there to take advantage of them and that they have no long-term potential. If you can hang with her and he friends, you defuse a lot of the anxiety of if you're a decent person or not. It is hard to fake liking people for too long, and that's part of the reason why I think girls that are interested in you like to "show you off a bit".

Feminine, passionate, smart and a bit of fire in their bellies, like you said "fierce". Sweet touch of her by going to get you dinner. Eating together is a very social activity in Vietnam. Even with girls I've chatted with and haven't met yet, multiple girls will ask what time it is here in the United States to remind me to get dinner or lunch. Don't get too skinny they will say! (I always laugh, because at 185 lbs and 6'1" I am sometimes twice their size! lol) If a Vietnamese girl likes you, she will go into what I call "mothering mode". Buy you some food, tell you get more rest/drink more water, etc. If you're a man who appreciates a loyal (even "territorial" lol) girlfriend/wife, further stories like your's have only reinforced my initial research.

I left yesterday but the travel feels to head back is strong. In my circumstances(I'm currently in the military), it would be hard for me to make regular trips back but once Im done with the military next year, I see a possible 3-4 trips a year. Definitely worth more than just one visit.

Well, I wasn't joking when I posted several pages back that Vietnamese chicks expect loyalty if you're in a relationship with them. One of Zerdame's girls claimed she was "territorial". All of this matches up with my own experience talking with Vietnamese girls (from Vietnam) and Vietnamese-Americans who put a very strong emphasis on relationships, marriage and having kids. They will do their homework to make sure you're committed to them, so don't act surprised if they act a bit jealous, or even a lot jealous.

One time I was chatting with a Vietnamese girl I've been talking to for several months online. I didn't check in with her for a few days because work kept me busy. When I contacted her again, she said I had "changed". I asked her what she meant, and she said I went 3 days without talking, which must have meant I had another girlfriend! Lol, I told her, a man can't be busy? She apologized and went back to being friendly after that.

What can I say? Most Viet girls have a very strong pair-bonding gene, so this kind of behavior might be more common than in other cultures. Most of the girls I've talked don't believe in opposite-sex friendships where you spend a lot of time alone with opposite-sex friends, as opposed to a group setting. Personally, I don't have a problem with this in a relationship as long as she abides by the same rules. If you're into LTR/wife shopping, there's no point in undermining what could be a great thing with a good girl by instilling unnecessary trust issues.

That Facebook group might not be a bad place to start though if you're looking for LTR/wife shopping and want to make sure your girlfriend didn't have a past as a bar girl, call girl, etc. Trust, but verify as the old saying goes. Even in a country with mostly nice girls, you still need to do your homework.

Its been a week since I got back from Vietnam and I am still in contact with 4 girls, 2 being my girlfriends.

An interesting fact was that my landlady, the one I didnt bang on my last visit, actually added me on Kakaotalk and began talking to me. I see this as her gaming me lol.

Vietnam is a pretty good place, I just wish I had the time to put everything aside and go live there for a month. Might consider doing that during one of my college breaks once I get out of the military and return to school. I have actually started learning the language abit since I noticed not speaking vietnamese was one of the biggest setbacks for my day game in HCM. Ive also noted a HUGE increase in interest the moment I spoke Vietnamese so I suspect its like Korea except in Korea, they kinda expect you to know their language and being able to speak Korean doesn't really make them wet, at the very most you earn their respect. Whereas in Vietnam, it seems that they are much more appreciative of the fact that you took the time to learn their language. Being respectful to elders and other Vietnamese are also seen as huge plus points, one of my girlfriends showed me to her entire family when we video called once and after I respectfully greeted them, she was incredibly happy and told me her family likes me.

Typing this makes me wanna hop on the next flight haha, can't wait to read another forum member's visit to VN soon

As a casual learner(30mins max each day), I'm using 3 resources namely 1. Duolingo 2. A YouTube channel called Tieng Viet Oi Vietnamese 3. My girls.

Duolingo is good to just be immensed with the language and for visual learners, it helps a foundation and some vocabulary although it can be pretty useless. Eg. I know how to say "bat" but still not "bed", "bake" etc

Tieng Viet Oi actually focuses more on Northern Vietnamese(e.g. Hanoi) and they state it clearly multiple times in their videos but the difference is negligible and I think Vietnamese people are just grateful you are learning their language. I like this channel because the teaching is made easy to digest even for difficult things for beginners such as tones.

Lastly, all my girls are more than eager to practice Vietnamese with me. Two even started learning Mandarin and Japanese because they want to "communicate with my friends." There really is no end to some of the things they would do to please their boyfriends, love that about Viet girls.

Also fun fact: Vietnamese girls can be very violent in love haha, Girl 1 actually sent me a series of pictures from a Vietnamese facebook page of an animation of a girl pinching the nipples, biting the arm, messing up the hair and poking the tummy of her boyfriend and the caption "this is love)))"

I use duolingo only to pick up new vocabulary, but some of the vocab is useless in everyday conversation. I don't need to know the word for "bat" before I need to learn how to say "how was your day?" in Vietnamese.

So I hired a tutor to teach me Vietnamese and his curriculum is right on target, giving me what I need to know in the right order. He also teaches me how to pronounce Vietnamese words. I really struggle with words like dừa or dướng, or any words with the vowel combination 'ươ'. I'm getting better, but coming from English and Spanish, these are entirely new vowel sounds that are completely different from what I'm used to.

Practice talking with girls in Vietnamese helps a ton. That way you learn how to really talk like a Vietnamese, with the common expressions and slang terms, and not like dry and awkward textbook. For example, when friends meet for a coffee, they don't really say "bạn có khoẻ không?" They usually say "hôm nay bạn thế nào?" instead, or some variation of that. (of course you substitute "bạn" with the appropriate pronoun like "anh" or "em" or "chị", etc... depends on who you're talking to).

Plus they get a hearty and contagious laugh whenever I stutter or mispronounce words. They think it's very cute when a well built and bearded man sputters on a difficult to pronounce word, haha

Another way I learn the language is to watch TV shows and movies I had already seen... only with Vietnamese subtitles. If you do it this way, don't expect to understand the story. Just read the words and absorb them by osmosis. Soon you'll start repeating these words without realizing it. I shocked my tutor by blurting out a sentence in Vietnamese that he hadn't taught me yet. "Where did you learn that?" ... "Oh I was watching TV and must have picked it up from that." This was also how I learned Spanish.

I looked at my schedule for November, looked at my bank account and decided that I am ready once again to head to the land of beef noodles and beautiful women! Would be attempting to get the official nod from my superiors in the military on Monday, should be alright- might have to game my boss alittle haha but with some luck, I should be headed to HCM from 16th to 19th of November! It would be a short trip so I wouldn't be wasting time on day game or night game, just going to harvest some of the "seeds" I've planted on Tinder and to pick the ripe fruits from the previous trip haha, I cannot wait.

I will speak of my experience as an Asian foreigner. By Asian, I mean if you put me in one of the local university uniforms, I could pass off as a Vietnamese college student. It was alright for me. Girls didn't feel that much of a distance with me because I looked like them. They said I looked cute and that I could be a celebrity in Vietnam lol. Don't know how true that is but I digress.

I think there will be some girls out there who want white guys but I think the best way to tell is change your location on tinder to Vietnam and swipe. The rate of matches isn't the most accurate but it gives at least a glimpse of what reaction to expect when you arrive. Hope this helps.

I've been living in Saigon off and on since 2015 and after 10 months in South America and Europe I just returned and will try and give my $.02

I'm fairly plugged into the nightlife scene and have setup nights out with some forum members and become friends through that. I am terrible at remembering real names to forum names but mostly Irish and guys he's introduced me to.

Someone a few pages back mentioned Lets Party Vietnam and that's a business my buddy started after we had a grand time throwing a theme party last year.

My personal feeling about Saigon is that it's a great city for living and not the easiest to come into town for just a few days. As mentioned before in this thread while tons of Vietnamese girls are open to dating foreigners they are more conservative then some other places and hotels and guest houses can be strict with letting you bring girls back.

I also think that more and more girls have hooked up with someone just coming through town for a few days and are more wary of it hence the "no hookups" that can be seen on 95% of tinder bio's and the giant Facebook group about western guys mentioned above.

I do think it's one of the best places in the world to have a harem and a rotation. It's a big city and aside from the club scene which is a smaller community you're unlikely to run into the same people over and over again just out at lounges or coffee shops.

Most girls have a lot going on in their life (compared to Thailand where I feel everyone just lays around heartbroken) so they may only have time to see you once or twice a week making the rotation easy to manage.

Lots of girls move here from smaller towns and so the anonymity factor of being away from the usual intense prying eyes of a Vietnamese family makes them more comfortable opening up.

Club Scene

The nightlife in Saigon seems to change at an astounding rate. The hot places to go last year are no longer en vogue just since the 10 months I've been gone.

Envy - Currently the most popular and expensive place in town. They have acrobatic dancers that come down from the ceiling and make a grand show of bringing out bottles and champagne
XOXO - Rooftop lounge in D1 that's very big for locals but hard to break into other groups so not ideal for gaming
QUI - Was the spot to be last fall but although still solid seems to have dropped off a bit. More of a lounge and restaurant that we would go until midnight before changing venues
The Ballroom - Great location in central D1 and a better setup then many clubs as they leave some space to move around the main floor
Glow/Play - Glow is a rooftop bar that's one of my favorite's to meet girls as people actually mingle vs. staying in a group. Play is the club downstairs and I haven't been back there yet this year but from what I've heard it's gone downhill.
Lush & Apocalypse Now - The old standby's that have been here for years. Have had great & terrible nights at both. They are more well known among travelers, backpackers expats, etc. and they both have a lot of hookers you have to watch out for. 99% of the time a Vietnamese girl isn't going to approach you so if one does she's likely working.

The biggest thing with the Saigon club scene is that it's very social circle based. There is some old communist rule about dance floors can't be over a certain size (or so I was told) and so no clubs have a real dance floor most just have a small area in front of the DJ. It's all about table's with couches here which can make it difficult to break into groups because it's friends in a circle around a couch or sitting down on their phone (an asian epidemic) but definitely not impossible.

This is why it's good to have some girl friends or acquaintances who like clubbing as they will bring their friends and no girls at other tables and over time you'll recognize one girl in a big group and the cycle continues. That's how I've pulled most of the girls I have from clubs.

One night stands are definitely possible but if you're staying for awhile getting the number and then getting them out on a date during the week alone has been more successful for me % wise.

Warning: It's become quite common for girls who do bookings for clubs to invite guys out under the guise of it being a date and try and get them to book a table or buy a bottle for which they get a commission. This has happened to a few guys I know who've showed up at the venue thinking they were meeting for a date then the girl has a bunch of other confused looking guys there under the same pretext. It's this weird gray area and I know some of the girls who do it and they know just how to skirt the line between flirting and plausible deniability that they didn't lead you on. Most regular Vietnamese girls want you to lead so if she's telling you to go to a specific venue it's definitely a red flag.

Online Game

I guess this could be said for a lot of Asia but IMO online game especially tinder and badoo apps can be a gold mine. The club scene is relatively small and there are so many good girls who are studying and working who maybe go out just a few times a year but who are great for dating especially if you're living here.

For me personally I now rule out anyone who doesn't drink just because you're likely dealing with a virgin (or close to it) and several dates of work to get the notch.

I like to push for the number and move things to whatsapp or viber pretty quickly.

If a Viet girl likes you she will stick around forever and make a first date a six hour affair (often with no sex at the end) so another thing I do quite often is try and get a first date out of the way on a week night at a good happy hour spot (XU & Racha Room are two favorite's) and let her know that I have a call or something back to the States for two hours after the scheduled date time. If it's going really well I can always say the call got canceled but again first dates are tougher here so I like to do a drink on a week night then invite her out with my friends on the weekend and close.

Living & Lifestyle

If you're going to live in Saigon for awhile I suggest the Bihn Than area or D2. D1 is where all the action is but it's easier to get burnt out from the intensity of the city with the traffic, motorbikes on sidewalks, massage parlors, etc.

Bihn Than is just a 5 minute uber ride from D1 and most of the big buildings (The Manor, Saigon Pearl, Vinhomes Central Park) have pools, their own restaurants and stores and gyms right in the building. I was just able to get a 4 month lease at the Manor because there are so many new buildings that there is excess inventory.

Thao Dien area of D2 reminds me a lot of Chiang Mai, it's more surubrban, expat heavy and chilled out (at least for Saigon).

D3 and D4 are very upcoming and there are some great apartments there now like Icon.

D1 can still be great especially if it's your first time or you love the chaos. I lived in Japantown (15 A and B le thahn ton) and it had some big plusses but by the end of my lease I was ready to get out of dodge.

I also think it's important to have semi-frequent trips away again to clear your head of the madness. Mui Ne is a favorite of mine but I want to go to the Mekong delta more this year as every hot promotional model or bottle girl is from there. It's the wellspring of hot busty girls in Vietnam.

PsychedelicTaser, do you have any specific insights as to Mui Ne or other towns in Vietnam worth a trip to? I can see how Saigon might be a bit oppressive if you don't take a break from it once in a while due to the noise, pollution, etc.

What are you doing for bankroll? I see you mentioned Lets Party Vietnam. Do you guys have a website/facebook page? Is that a side gig, or do you have some other location independent business you have already?

As someone who has been plugged in over there for a while now, I'm curious to find out what other expats are doing for work in Vietnam besides English teaching. I was reading that Vietnamese employers can't legally grant you a work permit visa (meaning you don't have to do constant border runs) unless you have a bachelor's degree. What about starting up a business? Did you create a business entity in Vietnam as a foreign national, and if so, was it that hard to do? Did it grant you any kind of extended visa, or do you still have to make regular border runs for new passport stamps?

For insight on Mui Ne or somewhere like that, what kind of info are you looking for?

Awesome hotels right on the beach there can be had for about $20.00 a night, there are some cool dunes and lots to do like standup paddle boarding.

I don't think I could live somewhere like that as it's too smal and when I've gone it's been with a big group or with a girl already so I haven't gone to try and meet girls.

Can Tho is the main city in the Mekong delta and it's relatively small and quiet in comparison but has one or two night clubs that were great. The hottest girls in Vietnam but most don't learn English until they come here. Also, you can do snake blood shots which are badass.

Danang and Hoi An have been covered in other threads better than I can as I've only been there for a few days. I think if you based yourself in Danang you'd easily be able to get a girl to date or small rotation. I saw some guys clearly in there late 40's or 50's with girls in there 20's hanging all over them at restaurants.

When I went last year we weren't able to meet any local girls who spoke English but i'm sure they exist. I ended up meeting a girl also on vacation From Saigon.

Many of my trips I leave the country for visa runs or visit friends in other spots.

For work, I have two online businesses and neither are tied to Vietnam. I was just in other parts of the world for 10 months so nothing I do is really tied to Asia in anyway although I think there is a lot of potential if you're willing to put up with the bullshit that comes with trying to do business in Asia.

There is a big scene of location independent business guys or digital nomads, however you want to put it. That's who I hangout with the most. There are several coworking spaces and most guys are further along then a Chiang Mai for instance where many people are going to try and bootstrap their first online business.

The party business is my friends, i'm not involved but we put together a few events before he started it and dealing with Vietnamese for business is not for me. They try and change the terms of the deal every few days and in general think completely short term. They'll risk screwing you over for a small amount now instead of thinking about the gains long term. I don't want to say that's all Vietnamese and I love it here but from the two events I put together even though they went really well I hated working with the club owners.

From what I understand teaching English pays better here than other places but everyone I know who does it ends up teaching on the weekends and having week days off which sounds brutal to me.

Just arrived in Saigon yesterday, last time i was here was 3 years ago for just a week, this time I'll have a month.

Met up with a girl from my pipeline, had some drinks and back to mine for the golden touchdown.

Went to Lush, arrived kinda late and it wasn't great. Found a hot tall girl who I eventually got a small makeout from, then she gave me the wrong number... Oh well!
