Duck You, Google.
If you haven't jumped on the http://www.DuckDuckGo.com bandwagon, do it now.

DuckDuckGo is a Search Engine that does not track you.

RE: Duck You, Google.
Duckduckgo still uses Google search results (albeit tracking hidden) and up until recently had a strong partnership with Yahoo.

Download adblock plus and kick google in their nuts by blocking their banner ads, links in search, and tracking cookies.

I'm liking startpage so far. Only thing I miss from duckduckgo are the options like !m or !bing to run the search on a different site.

Duck duck go is run by the founder of Yahoo, who has a track record of sloppiness regarding personal information.

Use start page instead.

In addition, I suggest using Ublock origin. It is a superior ad-blocker, and even allows you to remove obnoxious elements of the websites you are viewing.

Go full shitlord. Use Brave browser with Startpage. Brave blocks 99% of ads, does not internally save your search history, and was created by Brendan Eich after he got purged from Mozilla for contributing money to the campaign for Proposition 8, the attempted ban on gay marriage in California. Brave is the anti-google. It even connects straight to Infogalactic, Vox Day's anti-Wikipedia. I don't think you can get better than that.

I also use Brave browser and I also vouch for it, not only does it have higher integrity regarding privacy but it's also simply a better quality browser. There's only one thing I miss from Chrome and that is the auto-translate function, however Brave have publicly stated that an auto-translate extension in under construction and coming soon for users.

Kim Dotcom should make a search engine.

I tried it when it was first released and it was still buggy. Just DL'ed the latest and it's much better (using it to write this post).

If you tried it before and had issues, suggest giving it another chance (especially in light of the recent Damore developments).

This website lists alternative to several google services:
https://www.maketecheasier.com/google-se...ernatives/

There are surely some services where google has no real competition (youtube for example), but there are great alternatives to google maps, gmail, or photo editor. Many of them are open source too. This is crucial because in my opinion it makes no sense to switch from google to another silicon valley service, it is the same incest after all.

The Noscript addon for Firefox is very useful too.
It works with white- and blacklists.
Perfect for blocking scripts from google analytics, doubleclick (another google company), facebook, and others.

All the links in my sig are a good start.

The only thing you might be stuck with is your phone. You are a fruit (Apple) or a droid (Gulag). Do you trust them not to spy on your phone?

What anonymous search engine is best for images? I normally use startpage for generic searches but it's shit for getting images.

If you want to look for an image Gulag is prob top of the line, too bad.

You could run Gulag out of Tor on your PC. If you are hard core you could use TAILS.

RE: Duck You, Google.
Bump.

Youtube is pushing ads in an increasingly aggressive manner while demonetizing more and more politically incorrect content creators.

I no longer want to watch their ads, or in other words, I want to demonetize youtube.

I wonder if there is a third party site or service that lets me conveniently watch youtube videos. Similar to startpage.com which uses google search engine but does not track users. Any ideas?

If you're using the youtube apps you're fucked, they cut your vids to force you to watch ads.
The only options is to watch youtube on your browser with an adblocker or to use hooktube

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral

uBlock Origin is the best option for me and as a opensource project I can check what's new in the issue tab.

I have been using duckduckgo since I first read about it in this forum.

I good way to spread the antiglobalist word is to suggest to other people to "duckduckgo it" instead of "google it" when speaking about info to find.

Cosigning uBlock Origin, also if you are looking to get more privacy and anonymity from your browsing without just going to Tor, install HTTPS Everywhere and Privacy Badger.

This site is actually more comprehensive than Google in some ways, because it encompasses other search engines -- although I forget exactly what/how at this point. But anyway, I've found information on it that Google doesn't have.
