RE: The Donald Trump thread
If Trump is really against fake news and not just news against him, why doesn't he just try to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine, or some variation of it that would be more agreeable to Republicans?

I get it, the media is dishonest, but other than calling them out or suing when it becomes slanderous, what are you actually going to do about it?

RE: The Donald Trump thread
Quote:France has shifted its priorities from ousting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to defeating terrorism and seeking political stability at home, French President Emmanuel Macron said at a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump.

“On the Iraq-Syria situation, we have agreed to continue working together, in particular on the building of a roadmap for the post-war period,” Macron said during a joint news conference in the aftermath of talks with Donald Trump in Paris. “We have asked our diplomats to work in that direction, so in the next few weeks a concrete initiative can be taken and managed by the P5 [the five permanent members of United Nations Security Council(UNSC)].”

The so-called “contact group” on Syria, according to Macron, should include UN Security Council members, as well as representatives of the Syrian government and rebel groups.

President Assad’s departure is no longer as relevant for Paris, as fighting terrorism at home has now become the top priority, Macron stated.

Because the so-called "fairness doctrine" is inherently unfair, and is inevitably co-opted by the left, as it has in the past.
It is a detriment to the right.

I am afraid that women appreciate cruelty, downright cruelty, more than anything else. They have wonderfully primitive instincts. We have emancipated them, but they remain slaves looking for their masters all the same. They love being dominated.

You're going to humiliate CNN so badly that their view numbers go below Yogi Bear reruns, like what happened last week.

You're going to turn the entire country against them and drive them out of business, like Trump did/is doing to Megyn Kelly.

You're going to smash the NYT so hard that they're reduced to selling off office space in their prestigious downtown New York office just to stay afloat.

etc. etc.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
The fact alone that Trump frames the media as the opposition party and the enemy of the American people has a huge effect on how his supporters and Republicans in general perceive the press.

If you play buddy buddy with the press, you condition your supporters to trust them. Trump is an intelligent man, so he doesn't make that mistake, unlike most other midwit Republican politicians.

From September '16, before Trump's presidency:

Fake News Network CNN Wrote:"It is also possible that Republicans think less of the media as a result of Trump's sharp criticisms of the press," the release continued.

"Republicans who say they have trust in the media has plummeted to 14% from 32% a year ago. This is easily the lowest confidence among Republicans in 20 years."

I want zero immigration except for vetted spouses of US citizens. If companies need workers, they can raise their wages and train people. Or go out of business. Can't compete? Too fucking bad. There is a huge cohort of unemployed people in this country and replacing them with foreigners to keep the market numbers up is not a solution. It's suicide.

All the illegals need to go back too. Fuck off back home, parasites. Maybe without a huge contingent of freeloaders we could start paying down some of the national debt. Maybe? We absolutely could.

But sensible immigration reform is obviously not going to happen.

I don't think it even matters anymore. It's obvious the GOP has no will to fix any of the problems we have. Maybe they're corrupt, maybe they're frightened of their own shadows, who knows. It's just a matter of time before this out-of-control train derails because these dumb fucks are arguing over the proper arrangement of silverware in the dining car instead of figuring out how to hit the brakes.

What about foreign workers from Europe and Asia who can work in the industries which are well paid but lack brain power or expertise?

You're not the only country with innovation.

Why do we need workers from Asia and Europe when we have tens of millions of perfectly capable people here who can't find good jobs? Why on earth would I put foreigners above my own people? There is no talent shortage in the US, that's absolute bullshit. It's all about keeping wages down so the C-suite can get rich quicker.

I have no real problem with non-Islamic foreigners but we need to take care of our own, not run a goddamn world charity.

It's not uncommon for foreigners to come here, work for awhile, make a pile of cash and go home to live like a prince because a dollar goes 5x as far there as here. Well, that's straight up parasitism. Americans don't have that option, and an American loses a job every time it happens. Even worse is when foreigners establish cultural beachheads in companies and bring in only their own people, which happens all the time in tech. Then Americans get locked out of a whole portion of the company. Is that good for anyone, including the company itself? Hell no, even ignoring the workplace friction that inevitably comes from culture gaps. Why is the software industry so retarded these days? I'll give you one guess.

You know that H1B program everyone bitches about? Proponents always say "oh, it's only 85000 people" or however many it is but what they fail to mention is the people who are already H1Bs become cap-exempt. So they are, in fact, a permanent addition to the workforce. That's 85000 American college graduates--more actually, because there are cap-exempt positions, and the result is about twice the cap are allowed in--who lose good job opportunities every year. From just that one visa program. Does that sound sane to you?

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/vis...leXVIA.pdf

Check out row H. You think that's good for the American people? How about row F?

If people in other countries are innovating, awesome. Keep innovating. I don't see what that has to do with them coming here and displacing American workers and students. If people want to improve their countries, they can bloody well stay there and improve them. I'm sure our own innovation will continue just fine without them.

Obviously, I wasn't there, but fighting against, and winning big battles against, such a large, well-trained, organizeded media-political system makes me smile.

I have said before during the campaign, the Dem party is not able to survive the current political climate in the era of the internet, they still do not realize they not longer have a monopoly of information, Hillary fainted and was cspture on a phone and posted online, Hillary caught fist was all over the internet, people making compilations.

If the internet did not exist Hillary fainting would be not nothing more than "conspiracy theory", the media would have edited every single thing trying to make her look good.

And so on.

Now the Dems is behaving like people can't do research from their own, the way homes. The way /pol and pro-Trump people on social media do research quick and cheap over multi billions dollar news company is evidence how small and insignificant the MSM have become.

Here the smoking gun was to get Don Jr tied to Russia and bring some sort of criminal case, but the internet has now dig and found the Russian woman was next to Obama's Russian ambassador and was allowed into the country even when her visa was expired, thanks to Lynch.

This is going to backfire really hard in their faces

Although this video is almost an hour long, it was fun to watch this well-balanced and well-produced documentary of President Trump's election. Re-living the moments was fun, but comparing my own reactions to their analysis was educational. I was too optimistic the entire campaign and too dismissive about the dangerous mistakes Candidate Trump made.

If you've an hour to kill, you'll probably enjoy this, and learn about yourself from it, as well.

Exactly. Trump doesn't just want to rein them in temporarily with anti free speech government regulations. He wants to engage them in no holds barred combat in the arena of public opinion and culture, and defeat them on a global scale.

I didn't realize it until I wrote this, but the wrestling video he tweeted is exactly the metaphor for what he plans to do to them.

I said no, you mean he's trying to get Trump to bang him. Macron is definitely going to be the catcher for that team.

Then I remembered this:

And then I thought, someone needs to make a meme where Tater Tot and Macron get all catty and pull each other's hair as they fight over who gets to go on a date with Trump. That would be epic.

Hopefully a member of Team Weaponized Autism sees this post because such a meme endeavour is beyond my humble skills.

I agree that the US should get rid of people who take advantage of the system and illegals and should look out for its own citizens first but unlike what you are saying the majority of legal immigrants are NOT taking anything away from Americans and do in fact contribute more to society then what they take away. This idea that all immigrants are leeches is idiotic and it has no base in reality. As a percentage of the population and absolute numbers there are a lot more American citizens leeching off of the system then immigrants. I'd rather you and the people that like your comments say you want your doors closed because you simply don't like immigrants, which I can actually respect and acknowledge that you have a point, then bullshit excuses about stolen jobs and parasitism, which you use just to give yourself some kind of moral superiority.

I know some people don't want to believe this but the US is experiencing full employment right now, so much so that some people are actually complaining that in the US the unemployment rate is actually too low, and yes, it's hard to find workers for some sectors because there simply aren't enough people.

You can have the discussion about if it's worth it to bring in more people to keep growing the economy or if you'd rather just use Americans and not let anyone in because you want to preserve your culture, which is a legitimate discussion worth having, but stop with the "all immigrants are basically stealing from us" crap. I work in this country, I pay all my taxes, I pay for your old people to have their fucking medicare and medicaid, I consume goods and services, spend a ton of money and add to the economy, I never ever have taken a cent in government welfare nor would I ever, I've became sick and spent a ton of money in your screwed up health system, even though I already spend a ton in taxes, I obey the laws of the land and I admire the American ideals of liberty, freedom and individuality and will fight for them. I, just like most legal immigrants, contribute more to this country then half of your fellow compatriots that are on the government's dole, which is paid in part with my money, gained from my effort, so if you don't want me here because you simply don't like me then just tell me that straight, because I can accept that instead of calling me a parasite, which is complete bulshit.

And I have to laugh at your "except for vetted spouses of US citizens", yeah, because a mail order bride that will divorce her idiot husband after crying about abuse and getting her green card and receive government's aid is going to be such a model citizen. tard

RE: The Donald Trump thread
These memes will win him a second term. Americans love a superhero with some flaws. In a word, Mr. Trump. We're going to see a non-stop stream of them for years to come.
