Party hostels are underrated on this forum. Guys think of dorm rooms with bunk beds and immediately shut down the conversation but there are several options other than shared rooms.

Party hostels can be good if you want to bang tourist girls or if local girls go to the party hostel to meet foreign guys. They can also be good earlier in the night because the party usually starts much earlier at the hostel than at most of the bars and clubs.

Party hostels have a unique combination of the best logistics and the worst logistics at the same time. They are full of young party girls who want to bang but most guys don't have a private room which makes things much more complicated. A guy with a private room has a big advantage.

1. Get a private bedroom and private bathroom at the hostel. Check the hostel's policy about bringing guests who aren't staying at the hostel.

2. Get a hotel room near the party hostel. Find out the hostel's policy for going to the bar if you aren't staying there. Most guests at party hostels are guys so you probably want to avoid party hostels that don't attract a big crowd of people who aren't staying at the hostel.

3. Get a hotel room near the hostel and the cheapest bed at the hostel. There are a few situation when this might be worth doing. For example, I've been to party hostels that are very selective about letting guys in (if they aren't staying at the hostel) but they will let any girls in. The cheapest bed might be $10 so you pay that like it's a cover charge but you stay in a private room close by.

Casually mention to girls that you have a private room.
You: This place is a lot of fun but it's so loud. Are you guys staying here?
Her: blah blah blah
You: Yeah I love the bar here but I could never sleep in those dorm rooms. I'm staying at the hotel across the street but I come here for the party hahaha.

There are a lot of sluts at party hostels and at the end of the night they will remember that you are the guy with the private room.

You can hang out at hostels without staying at them so get a nearby Airbnb or a hotel and party at the hostel, if you meet a nice chick then take her out for drinks and if things go well, bounce back to your place. I sometimes hang out at them just to switch it up when I'm bored of the locals and want to meet new people and speak English but I do find the younger Millenial flash packer crowd to be quite annoying.

I did read one random page of that DigitalNomad thread after it was mentioned here, although it seems fairly vague? Lol, yes, DN's reports are short, vague and they lack finer details which are often crucial. Wait til you get to the threesome parts, reads like a day in the life of Floyd Mayweather ha ha. Sometimes you have to actually see it, repeatedly, to fill in those essential details. And even then, as above, you may still be unable to replicate his success because you're just "not him". I've read he's average looking so he's not getting automatic success because of his looks per se, so that's not it. His past success with women can be sensed to a certain degree by new women he approaches, so it tends to spiral upwards. I've had similar situations of dry spells and then suddenly banging a new girl every week - with women, when it rains it pours.

I'd still recommend reading it. On one page I mention the vagueness and try and probe for details -- DN was a good sport and provided some decent answers which could help you.

With the amount DN gets laid from drunk girls I'm surprised he hasn't had a FRA yet. Because a large % are drunk momentum pulls that some girls tend to regret later on. You mentioned in one of your lays you were a bit apprehensive of a FRA even though it was a normal night time hookup, this kind of concern has actually become more than a "distant nightmare scenario" - if you're putting up gigantic numbers like DN, it becomes increasingly likely you will eventually catch something. Sad but true. Other stuff like going home accompanied by random drunk russian dudes nothing bad seems to happen while I would be genuinely concerned etc. Another thing that is not clear is the actual amount of approaches he does to get a lay, and the quality/rating of the girls he's banging. I tried to get an approximate number though. To contrast your thread with his, there is never a mention of an immediate harsh blowout which happens all the time in your thread. Is this because it simply does not happen to DN or because he is so positive that he ignores rejections as irrelevant i.e. he only reports "story worthy" highlights. I tried to get an idea of what was really happening with my questions as a lot of people looking at that as you and I were would likely wonder how the fuck he's doing it, what the fuck is going on etc. The merits of your thread are that you are more specific, even if the results are negative. But ironically, when you got one of your lays, it was less detailed because you were too drunk. Bear in mind DN drinks a LOT.

10k GBP sounds like a lot of money especially if it would wipe you out. I wonder if there are any countries that are cheaper but still offer the same quality. It's worth some research if you genuinely feel you're getting blown out instantly because of your face. With good fit body shape and good style (which would cost maybe 1k GBP if used wisely - no need to break the bank on 1k designer blazer when you can get a plain black one fitted for 20 etc. etc.)... then you must be living in a terrible place and/or your face is really that bad... I see guys who objectively don't have good looking faces, but they go to the gym, get at least fairly ripped, get bad boy hair styles, a few tattoos, ear rings, necklace, boots, white v neck, distressed jeans, the stereotype bad boy - and girls pay attention to the "whole package"/"image" versus his actual facial structure which is not at all good. I'd try that before going under the knife personally...

With 2-3kGBP you can spend a month in Thailand or Philippines, do online game and you can get laid every single day if you're very aggressive. At least 10 new girls a month plus repeat bangs to get rid of as much sexual frustration as possible can be extremely helpful to your state of mind and general health.

Whether you can bring yourself to read his thread or not, DN is the man to go to for the best party hostels, if that's what you're planning on doing.

I have a funny story. I was at a vegas hostel and there was an aussie guy in 40~50s. There were nobody else in the room. When we woke up we noticed 2 young girls (barely 18) sleeping. Those german girls got out of the bed and just walked around in undies.(I guess this is norm in germany) I still remember watching his face (omg is this even real type face) when one of the girl was trying to climb up the top bunk in those while he was laying in bottom bunk.

Anyways, sometimes you see an older guy at the hostel. If you hang by yourself and just hit on chicks straight up, obviously guys will talk bad about you just like they will stare at you if you just hit on far young chicks at night clubs.
I would just talk to guys and groups. Once they see you hanging with different people, they won't put on guard.
Hostel is so easy place to meet people. you can start any conversation by saying 'hey where are you from?'

Birthday Cat and Scotian gave you really good advices, use them. Another thing that i can recommend is to use free walking tours of hostels, even if you are not staying there, you can join for few money. There always groups of young adventure girls that you can easily meet, plus you get a nice description of the city in a great environment.

Also Many hostels are connected with Clubs where you can enter for free(even one or two free drinks) and get to know people of different hostels. To finish this, Hostels can have bad ratios, but generally, guys have zero game, so you won't have much competence.

Another topic, I know about your Subterfuge's thread and i can tell that you should find the kind of game that suits you better(depends of your looks,personality, intelligence,advantages,drawbacks), i disagree in part with the comment of Skank_Hunt, Don't compare yourself with anyone! Your city have hundreds of members. Why don't you meet with them and see how do they do game? After that, you will have a better idea. Change your style and methods, you will see results.

Still digging.
A few things
1/the age thing is actually more of an issue to the hostels than I realised. A few have said they don't accept people in their 30's!
2/Money - the party hostels seem to be more expensive than I had hoped. I'm guessing people who are avtually travelling don't stay in them for long as most of them are on a shoe-string budget and surely couldn't afford like £120 per night! Maybe legit 'travellers' stay in like £10 per night hostels and book up a party hostel for like one night just for the story?
3/Availabililty - As I said, i've basically never really been away and so this is all new to me hence i've not planed well and had no idea how booked up these things get and how fast - like, i'm stuggling to find places that aren't completely booked! Especially for this month and most of August.

However, Budapest is almost a pick at random if i'm honest. A few of my friends were talking about how it is fun, and since that night, it's been on my mind. I also have met 1 or 2 stunning Hungarian girls in my time so maybe that's playing a role in my head too, lol - But depending on how my hostel research goes, I could always consider somewhere else

Hah! That would be a dream come true. I can't remember how detailed I was in that thread at the time, but a repeat bang was never gonna happen with her. Where are you finding these prices? I've stayed in a bunch of party hostels and the prices were really no different than normal hostels. I've spent weeks in them. If you're going to Budapest, check out Retox. Epic. But I personally think it'd be awkward to try to hang out at a hostel if you aren't staying there.

I actually looked into retox earlier. All brilliant reviews. Sounds like cargnage! Struggled to find anything available other than the odd single night scattered around.
Could potentially book for a block of 3 nights or so next month, though.

Also, there was mention from some people that you might not be able to stay there if you're in your 30's. Apparently they have some policies now due to 'certain events' whatever that means! (maybe people lke me hitting on 17 year olds, lol)

Wow I've never seen prices like that. I don't know. And yeah those age limits are always changing I guess. Retox always gets fully booked so it helps to plan in advance. I had wild times there. You could check out Grandio too but I personally found Retox to be the best.

Still has the best reviews though, so maybe i'll have to book in advance soon for a trip a little further down the line that i'd initially planned

I've seen some wild shit there. I don't want to hype it but it's one of the best hostels I've been to. Not the cleanest but if you're just there to party who gives a fuck. I'd recommend going by October so you can participate in the parties they have at the Budapest spas. My last night at Retox, I still remember it...I had a 8am flight to Zurich to catch, but I got laid that night and was pretty drunk and fell asleep in the room and barely woke up to catch my plane. Not many people don't get laid there if you know what you're doing.

The MadHouse in Prague is also good. Not as wild as Retox but still good. I had went there before Budapest and it was funny because it's built a reputation. People asked me where I was staying at in Budapest and Retox gets so many different reactions. Even on this free walking tour I went on they knew about it. Guess these party hostels in different cities upset the locals or whatever.

Hope you have a blast if you do it. Again don't let me hype it but party hostels are great. But they would definitely check your passport for your age. They seem pretty strict about it.

The time I went was actually in September. And yeah it was hopping. Perfect weather then too. Yeah that's true, I'm 27 and fit so I guess it's easier for guys like me. Don't get your hopes up definitely but if you're willing to see it as an adventure then you'll have fun.

Any attempts to re-engage her? She could just be young and clueless and might need you to be strong yet comforting at the same time. If she's that hot I would be doing whatever I can to get some repeat bangs. Hostel girls are going to be mostly 5-6s with occasional 7s. Even if you did get bangs in a hostel I doubt they would beat her if she is as hot as you describe. I admire your passion and gratitude for getting that girl.

edit: I just checked and realised that I didn't detail much about the pull in my journal. I thought I did, but now I remember I actually detailed it in a pickup blog that I read/post in instead and not here.

Basically the whole thing was odd! - She began acting odd once we'd left teh club together after making out and stuff. Just suddenly sat on an outside bench whilst walking to the cab rank together and didn't say anything. Managed to talk her around and we went to the cab rank. Now she wouldn't give teh cab guys her address. I was thinking of giving up at this point and told her so when she blurted her address out. Then we got the cab. On the way there she cried about losing something trivial in the club like a cheap bracelet or something. Then we got to her place and she said 'nice to meet you!' and basically walked away from me to her front door whilst I was paying the cab driver! I caught her up and we basically had an argument on her front door lol. I was like ''What the fuck!? You invited me back and now yuo wanna ditch me!? - You just trying to get a free cab?' (cabs were very expensive because it was a bank holiday weekend)

Then she walks into her house without answering me, but leaves the door open. I walk in and we carry on arguing in her kitchen! It's the most awkward shit ever and im' 100% my chances are blown. I basically say ''I thought you were cool but I guess I was wrong!''. Then she grabs me by the arm and takes me up stairs to her bedroom! I bang her. Then after, she is just like starring at her walls like she belongs in an asylum. Not really answering me when i talk to her. I try to stroke her and ask her what's up, but she's now behaving like she has never seen me before and I sense that she's on the verge of fucking screaming or something! It's late at night now. 1. You are overthinking - every inexperienced traveller does this.

2. I've no idea where you're coming up with those values. Search hostels via Hostel World. I've searched Hive Hostel Budapest and got an average of 100BRL/night - £25/night.

3. You're trying to do two things at once - travel, when you have no experience travelling; bang girls, when you do poorly in your hometown. Trust me, travelling will be overwhelming enough, don't pressure yourself into banging or "failing" your mission. Regardless of what some experienced RVFers may say, travelling is worth it on itself.

4. Ideally you'll want to stay at a private suite in a hostel - that way you can still get the social atmosphere without having to bunk up with loud, disrespectful, smelly people (I've travelled for almost 4 months straight staying in hostels, there's some disgusting characters out there).

5. You're poor, work on making more money. You shouldn't be living on such a shoe string budget.

6. Stop making plans, just buy the ticket, go with your gut when you book the hostel. Get yourself out there and enjoy the trip.

Travelling is like making music. People think their first trip, like their first song, has to encompass everything. Be less demanding and enjoy the ride - there will be more down the road.
