I'm traveling back to the East Coast as I type this. Currently in Des Moines, Iowa. Yes, Iowa. For the night. I'll be in Chicago tomorrow. I am dead serious when I say this; the women here in IOWA look no different from the women in Los Mangeles. Same combo of attractive, okay, and unattractive women. This notion that LA is full of dimepieces is hilarious. And I don't want to hear this, "You lived in the Valley nonsense."

I was in Central LA all the time and went to the Westside weekly.

Another horrific element of LA that rarely gets mentioned, although the late great G Manifesto did hit on it, is the fact that LA is the LAnd of Snakes, in the wise words of J. Cole. It's full of cutthroat snakes in the grass (crabs in a bucket mentality). My wing and I have dealt with so many damn shady people within just the last year in LA; it's scary.

Of course, there are dirty, immoral people everywhere, but LA is literally chock full of them...would rarely meet slimy people like that in Chicago and NYC.

I honestly have no idea how any sane or fully functioning (or even partially functioning) human being could read this thread and think to himself, "I want to go to LA! Can't wait to get flaked on all the time, spend half my day sitting in traffic, and the other half my day dealing with fake people!"

Naughty, I appreciate you trying to give me advice and I don't entirely disagree with you.

First, I wrote that I had severe social anxiety up until the later parts of college. I graduated when I was 21 and I'm 29 now. I have very little anxiety of any type with women or people at this point.

I am not trying my hand at moving to LA. I am basically doing so because I have to for reasons that I don't want to elaborate on. No one is putting a gun to my head and forcing me to go to LA, but it is my best option right now in terms of a career choice.

I agree that LA for the most part doesn't offer anything that can't be found elsewhere as far as the physical attractiveness of women. Also chances are very few people that move or live there will ever end up with the top notch girls LA has to offer.

All that being said, I think we can all agree that you tend to exaggerate about LA. I can understand or believe that it is hard to game in. I can even accept that it is the hardest major city in America. The thing is that I've lived there when I was socially anxious and knew next to nothing about game and I still managed to get laid. This was also before tinder and the girls were at or above the 6 range and they weren't social circle or college lays (except one).

Look, LA is a huge city, the second biggest in America. I highly doubt if a guy does 300 approaches on average in a month and has decent game he can't get with 3 new girls a month on average. If that doesn't happen I am pretty sure it is the guy. I've gotten more lays in Iran with absolutely no online game in three months than you have said you've gotten in this thread from being in LA for closer to a year doing both online and real time game. I highly doubt that LA is as hard as Iran, and as far as I know I am the one that has spent time in both places.

I've actually been thinking more and more that depending on how life goes for me in the coming years I am going to make an effort to move to NYC, but we will have to see.

At the very least I will take game in LA like a training ground. If I can battle through LA and hold my head up then everywhere in the US should be easy mode, right?

One area I just discovered this past weekend is Abbott Kinney on weekends. When I mentioned this to my friend who's originally from LA, he said it was a "gay area" I'll tell you this. For you guys who love white girls, time to put on your rainbow flag shirt because there were several hot looking blond white girls there. I was actually on an instadate from Venice which is near there so I couldn't actively hunt but I did put it on my "streams" list for further exploration in future.

Take emotion out of the equation and approach it like a business.

If you have ever been in Soho in NY, Kiev in Ukraine, Tokyo in Japan, YOU WILL find 90% less attractive women in LA in any concentrated area as it's so damn spread out in my opinion so prepare for it. This target market will have more supply of dicks in their face and thus will influence their behavior. Let me give you a real life example. My ex is used to wearing heels and dressing fashionable. For attractive girls, this is normal, no big deal. Suddenly she's walking down the street in the Valley and cars are beeping the horn at her, random guys who walk by her scream "nice ass" A year later, she's wearing sweats and putting on less makeup. As much as we blame the girls, it's really us dudes who fuck things up and it comes down to supply/demand economics and also cultural differences as certain prevalent cultures do not have as much femininity.

If you've only lived in sausagefest areas, you will probably really like it in LA and will think Naughty is overreacting. It's all perspective.

I personally believe in positive thinking and making best of situation to find solutions but unless one absolutely has to be in LA, or even California really, I recommend other cities for any male with high sex drive.

Just got back from a week long work trip in Long Beach. Thanks for the earlier advice. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to visit, but if you have too here are some good places to go. On Wednesday and Thursday I went to Panama Joes. The talent was great on Wednesday, got a make out with a college girl. Mostly young white girls. On Friday and Saturday I stayed on Pine street and went to Cuban Petes and Sevilla. Those are 100% Hispanic clubs, I was the only white guy there. The majority of girls are fat, but there are some good ones. I hooked up with one hot one at Sevilla and saw lots of people making out. Overall I had a good time, but wouldn't stay there again. I like Santa Monica, downtown and Hollywood better.

3rd street is a decent option for flags. Especially in the summer, you will see a lot of tourists. You will see much more tourists there than you will see in downtown, and approaching on Hollywood Blvd isn't fun since in addition to tourists, there will be a ton of shady and annoying people walking around. Weather is usually pleasant and since it is a long 3-block stretch of stores (+ Santa Monica Place), it's hard to do better in terms of sheer size and volume.

I would say, however, that the best place for meeting international girls in that area is Venice Beach and the Boardwalk. Venice is super popular with younger foreign girls, and in the summer it is packed with them. There's even a pretty big hostel there on Windward (I think). I personally get bored as shit at malls, so I'm not willing to walk around for hours on the promenade just to talk to girls since I'm not enjoying the vibe. On the contrary, I love the beach, and I'll have a great time in Venice walking around or riding a bike, getting a nice tan, while also stopping to talk with girls when I see some that look chill. Last summer I went on a few different dates with girls that I met in Venice, all of whom were visiting from elsewhere (Sweden, Brazil, and a few other places). If you have a good body, all the more reason to stick with the beaches.

The only times I go out in different cities these days is for a friend/family members function like birthday or something.

I used to go to Valley dive bars in my 20s. I had a bunch of friends that lived out there and we hit it up. There were usually some local lounge lizards we could hit up and hot girls do go there earlier on in the evening as a first stop. My logistics now dictate I don't do that anymore though, 5-7 mile radius is all I do now. There are some dive bars, but honestly I like lounges much better. Just not my scene.

Anyway, Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade was full of international tourist girls last night/yesterday afternoon. Beaches will be packed. Multiple parties every week.

last night was lit. this weekend is going to be crazy w/recent graduates.

We had a pre-game with 12 girls and 3 guys....then got a table @ the club w/more girls there (promoter table). My 2 buddies pulled that same night. I went for the 3-some and one girl just got too drunk but i was making out w/both of them and making them kiss each other. Airball.

Clearly, LA is dead. No hope.

Went out last night with my neighbor for the first time in a while. I've been trying to control my drinking and focus on school and work so haven't been out gaming much.

Started at Agaves which is not my favorite spot because I think it has a shitty lay out and there are better options but I may give it more chances. The fact it has a patio where you can smoke and do approaches is a big plus. Loud clubs without any area conducive to conversation and approaching without dancing are not my favorite.

We went out with his ex and her friend in downtown Long Beach. I approached a couple black chicks and they ended up being Swedish Nigerians... I ditched my neighbor and the 2 girls we came with for 10 minutes to try and see what was going on with the Swedes.

One was lightskinned and one was dark chocolate and they had funny accents. Both were several inches taller than me. I got one girl's number cuz she found out I was Nigerian too and she for some reason loved that. The light skin one. Also when I first approached them and they said they were Swedish I greeted them with a "skol!" and they were hooked after that. They were asking if I spoke Swedish and I told them some other Swedish girls I had met downtown had taught me.

I caught the dark skin one walking by the bar and I had to leave and ended up kissing her. First time I went in she shied away and the second time she kinda giggled and gave in and kissed me back. Then I dipped out cuz I had to wingman my neighbor and they wanted to go to a gay bar lol. Plus I got her number for whatsapp.

Then we went to the gaybar and hung out before coming home. Unfortunately the girls we rolled with left right away cuz they had work in the morning. Then he invited two more chicks over, one of which I'd already banged several times.

I then got too drunk and coked out and made an ass out of myself and blacked out and woke up in my room.

For some reason I've met quite a few Swedish chicks visiting Long Beach though I do know there's a somewhat popular English school for Europeans here in downtown. I've met Swedes, Danes, French, and Swiss chicks down here on random occassions. Also didn't know there were so many black/mixed Swedes.

I'm still mad about the huge cockblock of one of the hottest girls I've gamed a blond Danish chick. Honestly not used to rolling with a chick that hot and we were getting serious attention and head turns holding hands walking down the street and in the bar. Not sure if it was her hotness or why she was diggin a guy like me. Her friend had a vendetta against me though and ruined everything. Not gonna lie though I felt pretty powerful and confident with a bombshell on my arm. Gotta step my game up.

What have people here found are the best times to hit up the 3rd street promenade? I've tried going maybe a half dozen times, in the middle of the afternoon I see basically no girls. Evening is a little better, but frequent repeats as a lot of them are students coming to and from SMC (usually these are the ones with the non-touristy backpacks). I've struggled massively to find the sort of volume I've ever been able to find in any sort of European city (this was during the Spring, maybe it's better during the summer). I seem to recall some podcast where Tom Torero describes this place as "daygame Mecca" but I just haven't found this to be the case.

Plus a few of the girls have told me other guys have come up to them, and I have seen other daygamers on occasion.
