My bet is an AR, a 9MM handgun.

Details about used weapons:

Ok, if it was an SKS fired by a glasses wearing older liberal with not much range time, I can see why he barely hit anyone. The sights on that rifle are more like target sights, not modern combat sights, and the poor eyesight combined with nerves, moving targets, offhand shooting (standing with no gun rest) etc. would make for difficult hits in his idiotic hands.

Plus, I am calling double bullshit on the "100 rounds fired" if he used an SKS and had to manually load with stripper clips. It can be done, but stripper clips aren't as easy to swap out as magazines and in the hands of that loser dwarf I'm not betting he was very good at the battle drill.

That's what this feels like. It's funny, because for everyday Americans like me and the people around me, nothing has changed. I mean nothing. There's a pretty good chance I go about my Wednesday as if nothing happened and this doesn't even come up in conversation.

But our entire country is being shaped by those few people at the top (yes, I'm implying the shooter is just a pawn for liberals (media, education, government, hollywood, large corporations, etc).

Edit: TravelerKai, I probably agree with you 99% of the time, but I disagreed with your post before, and I disagree with it now. Free speech should never be limited, except as it already is in our country. It's the most precious thing we have. And yes, this includes the Proud Boys free speech rallies where people are being harassed. Berkeley should be punished for not protecting those who needed protection. The State government should step in when someone is being assaulted, and if they don't, the Federal government should step in. Thankfully, one thing the Supreme Court(s) side with consistently is free speech.

Free speech should be protected at all costs. This is a cultural problem. I don't think Kunty Griffin should be detained because of her Trump head. I don't think a play should be shut down because it displays the president being assassinated. I don't think we should limit free speech to try and shape our culture.

As much as I want to, that seems like a slippery slope, a dangerous road.

Obviously if a person threatens to assault the president, they should be arrested and charged.

There is no such thing as free speech in America. All speech has limits. You cannot yell fire in a crowded theatre, when there is no fire at all, is the usual example given.

Only political speech has the highest level of freeness, hence why you can wear a shirt that says "fuck the draft", but threatening a president with violence is not legal at all. These standards were set by the Supreme Court decades ago. Inciting violence via speech is really not up for debate. There is a reason we have felonies like "Terroristic Threat". Not all speech is valuable speech. Thinking all speech is valuable puts you mentally on par with Libertarians and Anarchists.

The Secret Service and the FBI are not doing enough to protect Trump or the other politicians when they allow people to make these violent displays of aggression toward the president. It emboldens others to take it a step further and act it out.

Let's be real here. If anyone did even half the shit we have been seeing towards Obama there would be race riots and all kinds of stuff. They would have created a special task force or Obama himself would have suspended due process to stop the threats on his own life.

This stuff is getting way outta hand. The hysteria that Trump is a dictator and a bigot, while having plenty of supporters of all walks of life even gays, is beginning to reach a fever pitch so badly not one of these fanatics can even explain why his is a dictator or racist. They just want blood or for him to be gone at any cost. Even George Bush was not hated this much and he actually hurt our country. All the standard controls we have in place won't work if it goes too far and people start trying to snipe or bomb him or his wife and kids. Some of the reason why few people tried Bush W, is because he is legit psycho or gave off the vibe that he is no one to fuck with. Trump should take a page out his book. The tweet TLOZ pointed out was excellent. Privately he needs to be taking someone from the Secret Service up the wall and make sure his people are getting his new FBI appointee ready for confirmation.

Hollywood liberals are cowards. Let one do the perp walk in handcuffs for threatening the president and watch the other's violent rhetoric shrink overnight. Words and actions must have consequences otherwise there can be no civility to speak of.

A video of the event can be found here. There was a youtube version but the sound was not nearly as potent as this version.

https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=19f_1497480902

You don't see the shooter or the victims (not close anyway) but it's worth listening to if nothing else.

Notes: This guy is lying the asphalt using a garbage bin for cover (concealment). Madness. Even lying on dirt is better because bullets will sink into dirt easily but asphalt will bounce them off meaning a low miss becomes a hit.(edit:not sure about whether it's actually asphalt, but it sounds like it).

Monday morning quarterbacking this sort of stuff seems weak, but this guy should have put his fucking phone down and commando crawled to a place where he had cover or at least concealment.

In this instance it literally looks like he's taken cover in the worst place possible, since he's surrounded by fences that prohibit him from running away if confronted yet he has nothing to get behind that will hide him or stop a bullet.

That said, adrenalin makes you do stupid things that afterward cause you to scratch your head and ask "what the fuck was I thinking?".

Watch the video and listen to the gunshots. If you live in a region where this kind of thing can kick off at any moment then you really need to have a plan in your head BEFORE the shit hits the fan.

Obviously, we all know you can't yell fire in a movie theater. And it may be entirely true that the SS and FBI aren't doing enoug to protect Trump and other polititians.

The point about Obama and race riots, absolutely. No doubt. There was that rodeo clown in Missouri who dressed up as Obama and he was denegrated, despite having dressed up as every other president previously. It was this huge embarrassing ordeal, and all he did was poke fun at the sitting president.

I disagree that no one messed with GW because of threat or because of his dimeanor. We're in very different times than 2000-2008. The iPhone and social media, and manipulation of these outlets exploded since then, and that has made all the difference. Politics have become sports teams since GW.

I agree he needs to crack down on security. Obviously go after real threats. Execute the law for sure.

We have a cultural problem here. Arresting people who hate you and who are doing non-entertaining, humorless displays of opposition will exacerbate the cultural problem and lead to more tumult politically. That should frighten the even most optomistic.

Actually, now that I write it out, political tumult, cultural chaos...perhaps you've convinced me. No joke, that doesn't sound all bad. I appreciate the discussion, I'm on board.

Fuck em. Be more liberal in protecting Trump and Co. They want a war, give it to them.

(I'm not being facetious. I literally changed my mind as I wrote this.)

Social media existed back in Bush's time as well, but perhaps the amount of users commenting on politics were not as high as today. I have no way of figuring that out at the moment, but back then the SS was tapping shoulders of people making threats to Bush very commonly. I rarely hear enough nowadays and now you have people simulating murdering Trump. Bush would have released the dogs on them.

Some of this is due to Trump's past on getting into verbal altercations and trolling people. Now that he is president, many have not made the mental adjustment that now it is not okay to come at him like that anymore. He cannot change the past and what he may have said back then, so the onus is on others to make that adjustment.

We also may be looking at YET ANOTHER example of what Samseau posted about when he said that American women (especially white ones), have zero consequences for their behavior. Kathy Griffin should have been looking at real charges, not losing show appearances. These folks with this play whoever that woman is, ditto.

After giving it some more thought, it might be that the shooter was actually whiteknighting by shooting the congressmen. Mean ol Trump hurt Kathy's career and so many other women.... booo hooo. Then this low Testosterone beta male extraordinaire, decides to defend liberal women's feelings about Trump by shooting at Republican Congressmen, even though he is terrible with guns.

Who else is the most vocal about Trump? Women, effeminate bluepill beta males, and immature male minorities with ulterior motives or jealously against Trump. Of all of those groups, women take the cake by a factor of a hundred. Look at Twitter. Most of the people taking runs at Trump online are mostly women. Liberal White women on top of that. Most of the dudes chiming in are whiteknighting because there is no real reason to be against Trump if you have a pair of nuts. No reasonable man prefers female leadership over male leadership. Even when I was blue pilled, if you let me choose my boss at work, 10/10 I would choose a man.

These guys online are whiteknighting, because no bitch is going to pick up a gun and go find conservatives to shoot. Just like that video of that guy that punched that hairy pussy Antifa bitch you guys were laughing at a while back, that bitch tried to escape in the back of that riot and got blasted anyway.

Women are not about action or execution of violence. They know they are weak as fuck. Women use other men for that. They use their power of vagina over weak betas that are looking for validation and acceptance in their lives, to take up a sword and shield for. This fool was willing to die for bitches' honor on Twitter he would never get a kiss from, let alone validation.

Newbies and established members that still think Roosh is wrong when he says game saves lives, whenever some beta/omega goes on a shooting rampage, better peep this game lesson and stop choking on that red pill. When men step out of line hardcore like that, there are not exactly alot of reasons why when you really pay attention.

Agreed 100%. Obviously I was referring to the dilution of social media. The total usage of it. The usage of it for politics. And as I mentioned, the manipulation of it (fake users) by those with power. The idiocy of tweets deemed acceptable by mainstreamers. Ad nauseum
[Image: twittercensus-2012-400x249.png]

I'll echo your sentiments. I've been saying my entire adult life, women shouldn't be allowed to vote. Or at least, women voting is a real problem. That doesn't take a genius. It just took having conversations with chicks in college about macro stuff, social / political / economic, to realize they mostly didn't care and definitely didn't care enough to see long term consequences, which is the crux of socioeconomicpolitical policies.

Jesus, what a shit show. And the Carlos Slim Times tried feebly tying it to Sarah Palin's targeted districts ad, too...you know, the one that totally made Laughner shoot Gabby Giffords.

Then they claimed that this Bernie bro had a far more tenuous reason to shoot up this baseball game and it was far less clear politically. Is this a joke? And now they're all focusing on Trump being investigated for obstruction while Scalise is still in critical condition.

I am so angry about this. Fuck every last one of these people. They deserve whatever negative backlash they're going to get. I really am not joking when I say they're worse than Muslim terrorists.

Well I was half right, 9mm.

An SKS is surprising, that's on my bucket list to buy actually.

You can hear the snaps of incoming bullets from in the Live Leak video.

I really doubt he was drilled in with slamming stripper clips of bullets in.

Typically the unaware or untrained ear will think burst of fire are a 100 rounds.

I was at the AAA insurance office in a town next to the city, where the shooter was from. I was getting an International Driving Permit and I asked the lady at the counter if they had heard about what had happened that morning and that the shooter was from our area? She said yeah! He gets his insurance through us.

I said he "did" get his insurance through you. (They said he was dead, by then.)

Here we go again - another "confused" Pelosi's press conference. Talk about a major brain fart. Last week, she thought President Bush is our current US President. Now this week, she's somewhat saddened by the "death" of House Majority Whip Steve S., which isn't true.

Republicans in congress never waste an opportunity to bend over to the left and to throw T under the bus.

Rep. Mark Sanford R-SC on MSNBC Wrote:I would argue that the president is at least in partially — not in any way totally — but partially to blame for demons that have been unleashed, whether it is what I saw at a senior center back home and people saying, ‘f-you, f-you and f-you’ to each other at a senior center, a retirement center and see each other play croquet the next day, or with what happened — not with what happened yesterday, but the fact that you know, you’ve got the top guy saying, ‘Well, I wish I could hit you in the face. And if not, why don’t you and I’ll pay your legal fees.’ That’s bizarre — we ought to call it as such.”

No mention of the fact that lies and distortions by the network he was on, MSNBC, have led to convincing people that the right are fascists and Trump is Hitler and must be "resisted". Of course not.

T is to blame when a muslim has hurt feelings, T is to blame when a Republican is shot. Makes sense, totally logical. There is no scenario where the left is held responsible for anything by the Republicans. They are the epitome of useless weak faggots.

My bet is an AR, a 9MM handgun.

Details about used weapons:

Plus, I am calling double bullshit on the "100 rounds fired" if he used an SKS and had to manually load with stripper clips. It can be done, but stripper clips aren't as easy to swap out as magazines and in the hands of that loser dwarf I'm not betting he was very good at the battle drill.

If it was an SKS-D which will take a 30-round AK mag, it's plausible.

I'm stunned at how impotent the right's response to this has been.

Where is the anger?
Where is the righteous fury?
Why are the republicans letting the terrorist media off the hook after their propaganda campaign has directly lead to an assassination attempt on one of their own?

Everyone to the right of Lenin needs to understand that leftists hate you and want you dead. The left deserves no cooperation, no compromise, no mercy.

What more could it possibly take to uncuck the GOP than an attempt on the life of one of their brothers?

One of?

Try dozens.

As they said themselves. If it weren't for the armed escort we could have woken up to headlines that read "25 Republican congressmen massacred."

It is interesting that noone seems to question the judgement that you can't yell fire in a crowded theatre. Oliver Wendell Holmes is revered, and it is rare that anyone seems to question whether it is justified. As you may know, in the case itself he was sentencing a couple of Yiddish speaking socialists to prison, who had printed (in Yiddish) material opposing Wilson's decision to join WW1.

The question in all of this is, of all the people you know and all the people you love and trust implicitly in most facets of daily life (perhaps even with your life), who would you trust to be the absolute arbiter of what you can read, or hear, of have said? I know of noone, no matter how much I love them, that I would cede this responsibility to. Certainly I would not give it to any politician or judge.

In my personal view, I think Wendell Holmes' judgement is one of the great smears on the excellent legal tradition of the US.

Edit: here is as good an excuse as any to post a link to this great speech in the history of English liberty - Milton's Areopagitica, on the licensing of a free press: https://www.dartmouth.edu/~milton/readin.../text.html

This being one of the great paragraphs on freedom of speech I've ever read:

Quote:AREOPAGITICA;

A
SPEECH
OF

Mr. JOHN MILTON
For the Liberty of UNLICENC'D PRINTING,
To the PARLAMENT of ENGLAND.

This is true Liberty when free born men
Having to advise the public may speak free,
Which he who can, and will, deserv's high praise,
Who neither can nor will, may hold his peace;
What can be juster in a State then this?

Eurip. Hicetid.

I deny not, but that it is of greatest concernment in the Church and Commonwealth, to have a vigilant eye how Bookes demeane themselves as well as men; and thereafter to confine, imprison, and do sharpest justice on them as malefactors: For Books are not absolutely dead things, but doe contain a potencie of life in them to be as active as that soule was whose progeny they are; nay they do preserve as in a violl the purest efficacie and extraction of that living intellect that bred them. I know they are as lively, and as vigorously productive, as those fabulous Dragons teeth; and being sown up and down, may chance to spring up armed men. And yet on the other hand, unlesse warinesse be us'd, as good almost kill a Man as kill a good Book; who kills a Man kills a reasonable creature, Gods Image; but hee who destroyes a good Booke, kills reason it selfe, kills the Image of God, as it were in the eye. Many a man lives a burden to the Earth; but a good Booke is the pretious life-blood of a master spirit, imbalm'd and treasur'd up on purpose to a life beyond life. 'Tis true, no age can restore a life, whereof perhaps there is no great losse; and revolutions of ages do not oft recover the losse of a rejected truth, for the want of which whole Nations fare the worse. We should be wary therefore what persecution we raise against the living labours of publick men, how we spill that season'd life of man preserv'd and stor'd up in Books; since we see a kinde of homicide may be thus committed, sometimes a martyrdome, and if it extend to the whole impression, a kinde of massacre, whereof the execution ends not in the slaying of an elementall life, but strikes at that ethereall and fift essence, the breath of reason it selfe, slaies an immortality rather then a life.

We know that the left has become ever more violent. But that is desired. The new generation will be like the Red Guards who will gladly kill all thought criminals.

Since even Hollywood and leftist journalists advocated for violence against Trump then what did they think would happen? They called him the new Hitler and any weapon was deemed worthy to defeat Hitler prematurely.

Stupid shitheads.

This. This is where I was coming from. This is what free societies tend to forget. This is what pro-government, more legislation groups and people don't get.

This is free speech. Middle East countries don't have it. France doesn't have it. Great Britain doesn't have it. Hell, Canada doesn't have it.

America is the last best hope.

Bravo to put it into one paragraph.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
