No - seldom are the extremely intelligent above 150+ in IQ very funny.

Also what is colloquially called quip and ability to talk smack - those ar abilities that don't take high IQ.

I had friends and acquaintances who were much dumber than me and I always admired that they were x-times more witty than me. Some had a veritable talent for humor.

But it is possible that there is a basic IQ necessary for you to make truly ostensibly funny jokes. Also some successful comedians are indeed quite intelligent, but it may not be in the upper echelons.

Of those 8 soy explanations of "what it means to be a man in 2017", with a few minor alterations you could apply everything they said to "what it means to be a woman in 2017" and it's wouldn't read awkwardly in the slightest.

They should have saved themselves some time and just asked "in 2017 what's the difference between what it means to be a man and what it means to be a woman".

The guys would have just shrugged and they could have called it a day.

The video is right in that you can't just be "normal" to get to the top. To reach the top levels of success you have to be somewhat unhinged. Your empathy levels can't be sky high because you will have to crush some eggs to make an omelette, no way around it. But there also is a need to navigate relationships, people, groups at a very finite and fine grained level. Talent and smarts can get you to a certain level but there has to be an ability to manage and navigate and steer relationships, people, and groups along.

Folks who are socially retarded will never be able to figure that out. This is why a person whom has zero talent or smarts but simply is great at managing and move/shift people can rise up just as fast, if not quicker, than someone who has high level of talents and smarts.

The social retards will always try to use studies and other stuff to make them sound like they are truly the smartest ones in the room but this isn't the case. It has never been the case. Will never be the case.

But, of course, I type in that way (not the best) but I am not attempting to throw in all in the same lot. You can argue the ones who have that mental might and can crack the ability to deal with people and Social IQ rocket up to the top quite easily.

To me the engineer is the cognitive monkey who can process information an spit out things very quickly. The machine mind can be rigid though, in the sense, but the ones who control and command know how to optimize the mental machine to leave energy and effort to manage relationships and people around them.

The Architect, is IMO, the most non-rigid of the Engineers and even they are still stuck in concrete mental prisons at times (they over estimate their design freedom, they are salves to Price $/sqf, their client, and building rules, all outside of their control). In that field, I notice, the ones who become transcending figures become experts not solely in building design, but also in the ability to brand and market a certain design and aesthetic that people gravitate towards (and return seek services and pay big money for). The best architects will always good people persons who had a type of character or flamboyance to them. High cognitive/design sense but also high Social IQ.

I have many engineers in my family and see how the varying levels of social IQ has helped them. The most successful ones more else gravitated into sales and people roles while still having a grasp on the technical aspects of projects - somehow it did not rub off on me in that sense even though I am technically a engineering by training (social engineer though, soft one).

It's not her fault that the Feminism and Leftie Equality fanatics have pushed a woman into a field where she can never compete with men. By now she must realize already that she will never be as good as the men and it is not her fault.

Push women into any competitive field in the world and they will realize that all their abilities amount to nothing compared to the top of the male ability curve.

Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos are both mental giants and they are at the top of the food chain as far as wealth goes (not power per se).

There is a difference between being an engineer and being a leader. I would agree with you, engineers are workhorses for big businesses just like the blue collar guy is. Still, an engineer with leadership ability can do very well for himself.

The social skill thing is at its core the sales type vs the engineering type. It exists on a spectrum obviously, but that was how I broke it down at work. In every business, there will be the people persons who go out and sell and then there are the guys who keep there head down and do the background work.
