I think there is nothing wrong with fapping occasionally, its the porn that is the problem.

Nowadays, I just use porn for like 2 minutes to get a bit excited and after that I masturbate to my imagination.

Whilst I agree that dropping porn is the most important thing, I believe you should undertake this as a stepping stone to stopping masturbation altogether. Personally, I'm convinced that your body knows the difference between fapping and real sex. Having sex with lots of woman makes me outgoing, confident and more attractive to other woman. Having 'virtual sex' with lots of woman does the opposite. Fapping to your imagination of past conquests may well reduce or even eliminate this problem (which I believe is what you are saying) but for me, as others have mentioned, my testosterone is better used in the gym or for business. It's a fascinating subject, and I have in the past experimented with dry orgasms when fucking girls in order to conserve my seed further. The trouble I had was that it's hard to extrapolate your sex life from other causes of a 'slump' in your life/gym such as lack of sleep.

I think that there is plenty of porn out there that is actually relatively or fully real with real passion. But that does not make it better for our brains. It is as destructive as completely fake porn.

Porn is a drug. That's all there is to it. Completely rewires your brain and sexual urges. I've done no fap previously when I noticed I wasn't getting as hard or lasting as long with my girl as I used to. What usually helped me get it started was diving in when we traveled to Bulgaria. Staying with her parents in an apartment with our room right by the kitchen negated any opportunity for looking at porn. So that generally was 30 days right off the bat. Then it was easy to string together another 30+ days once returning to the states.

But the temptation always pulls me back in. It could be a stressful week and I'm sitting there at night after a few drinks and..bam. Or more recently I suffered a bad hip injury which didn't allow me to exercise, then started feeling a little down and went back to seeking the dopamine rush. Also done a bit of traveling for work which can get a bit lonely in a hotel room at night and my wife recently went to Europe for about 6 weeks. I got back into the masturbation unfortunately. When my wife returned I was pretty damn horny but again couldn't perform as I have in the past.

So starting about May 15th I dropped porn and masturbation altogether. Also started hitting the gym 4-5 times a week and am running about 3 times a week. Decided I'm going to get back to having a tight, cut body with my old sex drive and performance. At about day 31 right now and going strong. Going through a bit of the lifeless dick period but that always passes with stronger and more regular erections around the corner. Mind is clearer. Fog is lifted. Gains are coming in the gym. Getting stronger, packing on some muscle. Posture has improved. Digestion has also improved. I have a theory that masturbation and edging causes the prostate to swell which leads to poor digestions and some constipation/bloating.

Something I notice when doing no fap, well two things I notice and observe is when you've abstained for weeks/months, you can somewhat tell which guys masturbate and which guys don't. You notice the guys who are afraid of eye contact, have soft voices, poor posture, lack of social confidence and it's clear they fap most nights alone in front of their computer. Likewise, I notice more and more looks from women. I think when we don't ejaculate and hold in that energy, women can sense it and they're subconsciously attracted. We have more vitality.

The struggle is real but it comes down to just how much do you want it. My advice is to find a hobby or new goal to take up when undertaking the task. For me it's getting back into the shape I was about three summers go, arguably the best shape of my life. And all the exercise forces me to eat healthy too. So that's my focus, along with improved coding and I'm moving in a couple weeks. But you need something else to distract you from old habits. Sitting in front of the computer, bored, is the worst thing you can do.

I'll preface by saying I've been at this NoFap deal for at least four years. Trying to quit, going long stretches of NoFap or NoPorn. This is nothing new.

About a year ago that I realized I never really snapped the porn addiction. Even on long NoFap streaks, I would still edge and get a little dopamine rush looking at porn. It was a regular occurrence and did not help with NoFap.

For most of 2016 I would go a few weeks without jerking off, then maybe watch some porn...I really half-assed things. I had other business going on and if I wanted to jerk off I wouldn't resist as much as I should. In the summer I had some health issues and used masturbation to cope. This was bad so I started NoFap again, but then I was disappointed in performance in bed.

Towards the end of the year I started trying edging (once again) to extend performance. This helped some but I found my performance issues to be mental, not physical. I would get worked up and excited, then blow my load. At this point I was frustrated with edging. I did it for months and did not see results, PLUS I was cuming a few times a week so mental clarity was done. I was using porn because I wouldn't naturally get hard on cue to edge. So I stopped.

One of the issues I was dealing with during edging is pelvic floor imbalance. I have a strong kegel and can move my dick on command, but can't figure how to reverse kegel for my life. I tried doing reverse kegels but it's difficult to dedicate time to.

At this time I was reading PEGym.com a lot. There is A LOT of broscience on that forum, but the guys mean well and post their real experiences. There's one guy on there who really stuck out. His username is JamesMonroe, he tried edging, death grip, NoFap, etc. After many countless attempts he finally got over PE by "having sex a lot with his gf." He had posts where he was blunt about it all, explaining how the exercises helped but he never got over the hump until the was banging constantly. Months of sex in a committed relationship reset his mental pathways and cleared up his pelvic floor.

Therefore I provide the following hypothesis of my problems:

Problem #1 - Mental - Extended porn sessions builds up dopamine in my brain until I jerk off and blow my load quickly. This is how I've jacked off for most of my life. When I was a kid I would watch porn on the family computer and then go to the bathroom to jerk off. When I was in college I had a roommate and would do the same. Now out of college, I only jack off when I fail NoFap and go down the rabbithole (softcore, hardcore, jerkoff).

This explains first-time performance anxiety. So excited to bang a new chick I blow fast.

This problem is an uncalibrated dopamine feedback loop. My brain gets extremely excited when good things are happening, and sad when things are going bad. This also correlates with anxiety/panic attacks I've had most of my life (topic for another thread). Curing anxiety by getting off prescription pills has calmed my mind more than any drug, so instead of having my brain ride peaks and valleys, I want it to be steady.

Problem #2 - Pelvic floor imbalance - I've been practicing kegels for a long time, people were preaching it on the original NoFap subreddit. They're fun to do, so I would do them while watching porn and even during sex.

How I plan to fix these problems -

#1 - long term NoFap and NoPorn. At least a year, to rewire my brain. I have reached 3 months and have confidence I will continue strong.

#2 - have sex as much as possible to correctly rewire my brain. Even though I racked up some notches, I didn't have a serious girlfriend until I was 20, so my sex life was sporadic, drunk, and under the influence of regular masturbation. Right now I have 2 girlfriends I'm banging raw. My performance is much better because I'm relaxed. I know these girls, and enjoy the experience.

#3 - meditation, and lots of deep squats to stretch the pelvic floor.

#4 - reverse kegels. All the time. I do it whenever I'm bored or thinking about my dick. It's actually relaxing.

So far the experiment is going well. I have sex at minimum once a week. My mental clarity is off the charts, thanks to dialing in all aspects of my life. If I don't bang for 6 days I start getting strong strong urges. I stay busy during the day so they don't affect my concentration, but they do strike hard at night. I regularly take OptiZinc and high dose magnesium which helps me knock the fuck out. If I get horny at night I'll put on some meditation or hypnotism tapes. If these don't work I take melatonin or 5-HTP.

I'm excited with how things are going. I know that if I lose these girls it'll be a challenge stocking my sex life up again, but that's what game is there for.

For reasons I won't go into, I was traveling for work for the past two months and didn't have any plates or access to girls. I chased when I could but the options were few and far between.

I expected it to be tough, but strangely felt that this fits into my "hero's journey" for NoFap victory.

Weeks 3-5 were absolutely terrible, I could barely pay attention, and I was extremely high energy. Then this happened:

Due to these results I am becoming convinced that my PE issues are definitely from overactive PC muscle. I remember the days when I was younger and would kegel a lot while watching videos...just because it felt good. Little did I know how much this would affect me down the road. I quit doing that, relaxed, and things have gotten much better.

I'm flying home now so it'll be interesting to see how things are now that I'm back with my FWB. I feel much different than I ever have in my whole life. It's hard to explain but I'm at a good compromise between complete horn dog and dick-less incel.

i had phimosis too and cured it completely naturally by stretching the skin regularly. I would really advise you to not go for surgery as it's completely curable by regular stretching. i never even used any cream either. Start off by pulling and stretching the foreskin as much as possible till you are able to make it loose enough to roll it back over the glans/head. Once that's done it's fairly easy. Just make it a habit to pull it back whenever you can and slowly, the skin becomes loose enough. I did this in 2012 and if i remember correctly, took me about 1 month or maybe even lesser.

What was more difficult, at least for me, was the process of desensitizing my glans. Took almost 3-4 painful and patient months.

You're not attracted to that girl anymore buddy. It's happened to me, it would take work to get my dick up and once I was inside of her it got soft quickly. I went through stages of doing nofap, however I never did the complete 90 day cleanse/reboot, or whatever it is called. I have noticed significant improvements in terms of stamina and mental attitudes. However I feel like from using pornography during my teenage years, there has been some sort of mental block; which puts extra pressure on when I am about to have sex with a girl that I care about or have some sort of investment with.

i had phimosis too and cured it completely naturally by stretching the skin regularly. I would really advise you to not go for surgery as it's completely curable by regular stretching. i never even used any cream either. Start off by pulling and stretching the foreskin as much as possible till you are able to make it loose enough to roll it back over the glans/head. Once that's done it's fairly easy. Just make it a habit to pull it back whenever you can and slowly, the skin becomes loose enough. I did this in 2012 and if i remember correctly, took me about 1 month or maybe even lesser.

What was more difficult, at least for me, was the process of desensitizing my glans. Took almost 3-4 painful and patient months.

Desensitising your glans is the part where you'll REALLY have to be patient. The key is to go slowly and just keep touching your glans with your fingers and running them under water/drops. I used to have a dedicated time at night for it where I would just keep on getting as many touches as possible. However, don't traumatize the little chap. There really is not magic trick for desensitization. It's a game of patience and continuous touching at least once to twice a day for about 20 minutes i would say. After about a month and a half of doing that, I got the balls to wear my undies on with the skin rolled back. I remember that day so clearly. I'm a teacher and before I went in the class, I was dreading that if the shit hit the fan and it suddenly became super painful, it'll probably be the most embarrassing situation but luckily it did not and I was so elated at the end of the day that I felt I had achieved nirvana. Anyway, very few people can empathize with someone with this problem since not many people discuss it openly and there isn't much material on the internet. But trust me man, it's totally worth it. Knowing that you took the tougher route but did not get operated on your dick is a huge confidence booster. And what more, it's the pathway to the kind of pleasure you would not have experienced before. I remember being so scared of hand jobs and blow jobs before the desensitisation. But after this, I realised what I was missing. The first handjob I got after the desensitisation was something straight from heaven. Great, I am taking this on all board. I believe most of my ED issues before stem from this. Anticipating the pain, or even thinking about it would force me to lose my erection. Plus I would have to think twice when trying to plough hard so to speak.

I accidentally stopped whacking it and made it to about two weeks without really thinking about it. I just don't care about it anymore. It used to be masturbating for pleasure, but nowadays it feels like it's my brain that's getting the high and not me.
