I used to like Assanova's stuff a lot, the cat definitely dropped in some gems from time to time and has a sharp intuition and understanding of the game. But of late, some of the stuff he writes about is not only contradictory but at times plain nonsensical. Perhaps his overall perspective is narrow which could be because of him being confined to a small midwestern town where he has practiced all forms of game with a good success rate, unlike the cats here who are true international playboys having gamed in all parts of the world and having tasted both the extremes of the success spectrum.

One idea I thought was good was to use your skills as an avenue to get chix.

Like, play music, get music groupies. Makes social circle sense.

Also, the story where he had a sorority chick isolated but refrained from attacking. She was more valuable as bait.

That's a difference between guys who plan to have a central residence and guys who truly want to keep moving.
I do NOT want to move my drum set, video editing setup, all this stuff every few months, and I need to to create what I need to create.

The pursuits I like-- playing in bands and making films- require pretty prolonged stays 1-2 years in a location to get them going.
I met a girl here who plays drums, if I attack and she won't fuck, I could lose the drummer, the band structure, her friends , more groupies... a lot of shit.

I stopped reading him a while ago because I can't relate. He manages to slip in shit in half his posts about how he's 6'4'' with model looks, like that would make people want to take his word more.

Some dudes just can't teach because they never had to learn.

Increasing your attractiveness is good advice but the extent to which it can help is limited. Style blogs and a workout program will help you with that.

In the post jariel links to the guy goes on about how you should just become a more attractive dude. 1 post down he says self-improvement only provides a very meager result.

I guess everyone should stop learning game and improving themselves and just wait for their "break through". He says that will happen when you look back at which girls let you bang them. Good criticism, Ric Okasec was famous but also really flat out ugly, but Paulina Porizkova loved him as soon as she saw him according to her.

Women have some strange tastes, luckily for us hahaha.

I Think thats why Roosh has done such a good job at teaching what he teaches. He's coming from the point of view of an average looking guy with zero game to start. One could understand where this is coming from,since from the view point of a newbie and ghost reader of these PUA forums for the last month and a half,I see that most of these PUA'S are at least 6 foot 10(like Assanova, Roosh, and Mystery) AND are quite handsome(not gay by the way) I've seen very few exceptions to this rule. So one has to wonder,IS it game,or are these men"naturally" blessed?
It is sometimes difficult to discern for someone with average to slightly below average looks,a pretty adult sense of humor, and intermitent charisma,like myself ,as to whether or not that is the case,but I want to believe. Afterall,I am getting up there in age and would like to get women,that if were I to die tomorrow,I can die a happy man knowing that I got to realize the MAIN thing we were put on this earth to do,and that is to seduce and conquer multiple exceptionally attractive women and move on to the next one. I seem to have forgotten how to do that, since when in my early to mid 20's I kinda did ok. I sure wish we had blogs like this when I was that age back in the 90's. If that were the case,there would have been no stopping me with quantity AND quality.

That's always been my impression of Assanova. Dude has no idea what's he's talking about, or he's seriously confused.

I read Assanova for awhile. I even looked into his archives. It seems that for a couple years, he was riding the Mystery Method train. He used routines and negs. Eventually he came to the conclusion that it was a complete load of bullshit and stopped using MM, and has been railing against it ever since.

I think there is also an internal component to it as well....you can get a motorcycle b/c you want to and it makes you happy, regardless of what women think. Or you can buy it solely to try to get women, but that is more of a "trick".

If he says that "improving social skills" means becoming more attractive rather than improving one's game, then he's using different terms than the rest of us. I think he does go over-the-top when going anti-game, but I think his advice on physical attractiveness is among the more important advice I've received. After reading his stuff, I put in serious effort into improving my looks, and I got way more female attention.

Blunt, I think he has a good point with the "break through" article. For various reasons, I'm a niche product and I know it. I don't feel like I need to change niches, as there are plenty of hot girls willing to sleep with me, even if there are many who will write me off based on who I am or what I do.

This is smally only part true. It is trolling to say using game = being a loser. But most girls use game or are aware of it so its hard to believe. Anyhow, the part of game that is bad imo, is that it ignores bad female behaviour and it is focused on how to "cope with" poor female behaviour rather than fixing it.
