I met this chick over the weekend. She approached me as people were leaving the club. We exchanged hellos and small talk. Then we walk outside. I guess she was flustered from losing her friends. Anyways she's telling me she is a school teacher and im busting on her calling her tonya harding. First name is, you got it.

I ask for her number and she goes, "how about facebook?" I responded with, "haha how about your email... seriously what are you 12?" "either you want to give me your number or you don't?" She says "ok whats your number" as she plugs it in.

Ok I text her that night and no response. Then monday we are having a lil text convo back and forth. The next day I just sent her a random text, "feeling better?" "yes thank you..." I figured i would just call her.

I call her and we are talking and all of a sudden goes... "wait..." "who are you?" "you weren't friends with so and so." I'm going, "really? your going to play this game?" She's saying, "im sorry i don't know you... im gonna go." I'm responding with laughter and "are you serious?" "you loved me that night... i couldn't keep you off me." I made a joke and said, "fb me..." She says "and you don't even know how old i am..." I said "i did since you told me that night and i really dont' care since age is nothing but a number." She apologizes again, "im really sorry." I said (her name) you don't need to apologize, good night" and hung up.

total mind fuck... this is the second time this has happened to me... its always a drunk chick. Did i eject to quick? What were my options to stay in the game?

Didn't create enough of an impression ("comfort") with her. Girls are very accustomed to keeping guys in a panoply of communication statuses. She was fine having you as a text entertainment-clown, but flipped out when you escalated things into a real interaction. She tried to push you into the Facebook quagmire, but you dodged that bullet. She then assumed she'd keep you in texting purgatory when you--some random dude, as far she was concerned--texted her.

You were still a stranger and you acted like you weren't. Girls today are absurdly sensitive to the "rando" and the "creeper." It's a product of social networking and attendant social retardation.

Moral of the Story: build more comfort with your prospects and avoid calling younger girls altogether. Stick to texting to make in-person plans. They take a phone call more seriously these days than sucking your dick.

"Curse of the drunken bar chick"

Girls will get drunk out at the bar, do whatever the hell they want - be it making out, getting groped, blowing some dude in the bathroom - as long as they don't get pregnant nothing they did really happened or counts, because guess what? They were drunk!

You really didn't have many options here, because as Tuth noted you didn't make enough of an impression. Even if you did she was drunk enough that in her mind nothing noteworthy happened, she just had fun.

Don't get discouraged, this is common as most numbers don't tend to go anywhere. Although, it just re-enforces my belief that girls will literally text anyone to pass the time. Yet another reason to try and keep your texts on the logistical side, though I've found that shooting the shit with her a little is almost necessary now, but you've got to transition from that quickly and smoothly.

Had almost the same experience recently. I don't know, it feels like those chicks who approach you first and aren't hard to get a number from are usually the biggest time wasters around. Logically, you should be delighted, but it gets ridiculously flaky!

Hmm, that's odd, usually the girls that approach me first are the easiest to bang. Maybe you're not pushing those encounters as far as possible that night? If a girl approaches you, and is DTF, chances are you can bang her that night if you want to.

You're probably experiencing either one of two things:

1. The girls you've encountered put themselves out there and after sobering up, didn't want to come off as either too aggressive, easy, etc. Thus they decided to pull a 180 and flaked.

2. The girls are so extroverted that they approach a lot of guys and give out their number to so many people that unless you really make an impression you get lost in the shuffle.

Going for the SNL avoids this.
