I think that play that injured Kawi was dirty. Thats a known dirty tactic to place a foot under a landing jump shooter, and easy to make it look unintentional. I hate the Warriors, but this is karma for Bruce Bowen.

I seem to be the only one here thinking otherwise. I think Boston is the better matchup, because they have better defenders, particularly around the perimeter. Bradley, Crowder, and Smart are all great defenders. Obviously that's important considering Cleveland's become a jump shooting team lately.

Lebron can't be guarded either way, but at least Boston would do a better job at keeping the supporting crew from scoring as much. The way I see it anyway.

Boston does not have the scoring ability to keep up with the Cavs and they suck at getting boards, Cavs will get transition buckets all night long. Also, Lebron has made Boston's arena his whore house as of late. He rarely ever takes a loss there and tends to have big games consistently, I think he has made it a pointed effort since his shitty ghost game when he crapped it up vs the Celtics his first time around with the Cavs.

Wizards only flaw is they are streaky and they have no bench. Cleveland has no bench either so you can call it a wash. Both starting 5 matched up well and the season series between them showed it.

Boston, Toronto, and Washington are all largely equal. Boston didn't show they are some machine versus a streaky Washington. Cleveland could easily swept Boston and run them out of them gym.

Boston is flawed as hell once you take away and limit Isiah Thomas.

Boston should just hope to get one game. It likely will be a sweep.

Yeah, I'm a Celtics fan and would be perfectly happy if they either pull off 1 win or get swept but not blown out. I think most likely a sweep, 5 games at most. Cavs are completely rested, Boston just played yesterday.

Long breaks they still book in time for hard cardio to stay warm. Apparently this is the reason why lebron can play so many minutes each game. The system they have in the playoffs ensures he can stay in the court 42 minutes each game (Cavs tank and go to shit when he isn't playing).

I completely am eating my words as I didn't think the Cavs could "turn it on" like magic. Apparently they can. They are beating right now. Let us just get to the finals already as that will be the only real test for them.

It's going to boil down to whether the Cavs did indeed fix their problems with defense or not.
If they did, then the Cavs will win in 5 games or less. If not, then it will not be surprising for the Celtics to actually win.

I got very good odds on Celtics winning the Eastern Conference early on, so I stand to make a pretty large chunk of change if the Cavs bounce out.

I don't think the C's are going to get swept. I bet they take it to at least game 6.

AB should get 15-25
Crowder 10-15
Olynyk 15-20
Horford 15-20

Kyrie I think is the key to this series. He's been awful these playoffs with the worst true shooting % of anyone playing. If he steps it up, the Cavs will win much easier. Lebron will get his 30+ a game the same way IT should, so that's a wash.

Brad Stevens is also a great coach. People shouldn't sleep on the Celtics.

With the tenacity of Tristan Thompson on the glass, the stretch shooting, and the ability of Lebron to get to the rim on anyone of Boston's defenders, I'd say Boston will be lucky to win ONE game.

NBA needs to get things in check. These bloodbaths, if they continue for the whole WCF and ECF series is not a good look. Yes, typically sports do well when there is very dominate teams going at it in a time window (Magic's Lakers vs Bird's Celtics) but this does not work well when the regular season has been reduced to a joke where one team in Cleveland clearly did not give two fucks about 80% of the season. You get these other teams who go about the regular season thinking it is a real temperature test for team ability only to come to the playoffs and get raped.

I don't know what the perfect fix is, but if the Playoffs is going to continue to be a circus like this with blowouts my view is to shorten the regular season. The labour stoppage year when the NBA has to start up ad Christmas time was perfect. This time frame is when the NFL is just winding down and where the NBA will have an open window on the sports landscape. You cut down on games and you can still not have to do back-to-back-to-backs which players seem to not do well with performance wise. Back during that shortened season, there was lots of basketball on every night and for a basketball fan, they could binge on games every evening.

With a more short season, teams like Cleveland would not have time to even think about "turning it off" as you would have to jockey for playoff position right out of the gate. The current NBA season has 2-3 months (you could argue 4) of dead time. Players in December don't give a fuck about games like they do in March or April.

The NBA, of course, would never do this as cutting games means billionaire owners get less money from gate/ticket revenues and of course, the big cash cow of TV Would be impacted as you offering the TV networks less content and they, of course, would pay less for rights fees. Which is all a shame, as the sport is in need of a shake-up. How many months od wasted time to just get to the finals of GSW and the Cavs.

The Cavs are absolutely destroying the Celtics right now in the first half.

At the rate things are going, both conference finals are going to end before Memorial Day weekend. The Celtics have NO answer whatsoever for Lebron and Co.

Even if the Spurs get Kawhi Leonard back, he won't be the same. They really needed Game 1 on Sunday, even after he got injured.
